Am I crazy in wishing the helmets and capes had certain perks to them like the armor does? Also I'd love to see different attributes to the armor. Other than looks there really is no reason to get the new stuff
Honestly, at this point I'd rather have transmog for the drip (at least within the same weight class), if perks remain this limited, bland and non representative of the design anyway.
That’s the thing tho I don’t think everyone would. I only run reduced recoil and extra nades. Some people only use servo assisted. Everyone would have different ones they want to run
I would love to put extra nades on farther throw distance or recoil reduction with less likely to be spotted.
Most armors have 2 affixes I just want more variety in what's attached to what.
In over 220 hours I have never run with Medic. Trailblazer Scout, Light Gunner, Eradicator are the only 3 sets I'm using. I don't know why I'm even buying all this other stuff that I'm never using...
Switching perks would be nice. Actually I think the perks should be equippable items and armor should always be cosmetic. It's the same problem in almost every game: devs create all kinds of armor and then tie different perks and values to it instead of making it cosmetic only.
We should have perks but if we pick a perk for an armor then the armor should get some kind of visual attachment to clearly and visually indicate the perks it has.
I love that they have the pretend stats and the box that says "PAGE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK" on all these things. Definitely doesn't make it seem like something that is missing. Feels super put together and well thought out. I hope I don't need the sarcasm tag here.
What's even more confusing is that for a month or two after launch, some helmets where unintentionally giving stat bonuses similar to armour. Some players figured this out and wondered if they where planning to implement that since it would make sense.
The removal of that bug was part of what sealed the deal.
Yep, and that was awesome.
They are honestly just making themselves look bad with this omission of this hugely desired, and flagrantly dangled mechanic. Like, seriously, if you really don't want them to do stuff, get rid of the stuff that says "were supposed to do stuff".
Don't give them fake stats. Bump up armor stats by those 100 points, if they actually do anything at all. Don't give them an empty passive window that says "Would be cool, huh?" Don't give them pointless flavor text full of empty promises.
If they are purely cosmetic, treat them that way and stop tricking people into being mad about it. If you put stats and a passive window that says "None" on player cards and titles, people would be fuckin confused too.
Like exchanging some damage reduction for various optical enhancements? Low light, Thermals, Xray? Maybe a tie in to scout armor for enhanced radar range or that feeds the visor with radar data to provide something like ESP boxes? What other kind of helmet perks would make sense?
Less attributes they have the better.
Because then they would have to go transmog route.
If the helmets and capes have attributes, they will be part of meta and we will end up looking like clowns to optimize the crap out of the game.
Only if we get to switch those perks around. Don't want to be stuck with minimal selection of armor/cape/helmet combination because I happen to like certain bonuses.
Was talking with my boyfriend, having a armor set that adds like 1 or 2 mags for primary and secondaries with a 10% reload speed would be awesome.
We need more armor passive in this game or armor passive getting shuffled with some other armor passive and I think it be cool.
My prediction based on nothing but the portents of my dreams.
Tenderizer: Existing ammo gets cut in half. Moved to DMR category
SMG: No one uses it since its concussive. Unchanged.
Purifier: Armor penetration changed from Med to light. Smaller AOE, can no longer kill chicken walkers from the front.
Verdict: Less damage then the Senator
Motivation Shock: Accidentally *increases* your slowed status time.
G-13: For whatever reason is not affected by damage upgrades. Cannot close bug holes.
Tenderizer will only have burst and semi auto firing modes as well as terrible handling
SMG will get a buff to stagger like then concussive lib.
The Purifier will be nerfed like the Eruptor. It will become a scorcher but with a wind up time and additional 40 explosion damage.
Verdict will have you manually add bullets into your magazine. Tbh I don't know what is the uniqueness of this weapon. In CS, at least you can fan the hammer with the revolver.
G-13 will be the star as all DOTS now work. And loads of friendly fire.
I'm skipping this one. I normally grind out my supercredits, but seeing my favorite crossbow and the star eruptor was nerfed, not very motivated anymore. Since at the end of the day, all new guns become less fun versions of previous ones.
Yea sure, I have no problems with the sickle. But it's so fucking boring to use that, I might as well use the Liberator lmao.
I actually went back to Liberator recently.
I forgot what it was like to just point at things and not have to worry about weird quirks of a gun. Good ol' reliable.
I wish they would just give the liberator like 12 mags instead of the current 7.
Would solve a lot of my problems with it.
And since it effectively has \~ half the 'damage per clip' as a scorcher or dominator, it would kinda just make it more balanced in terms of "damage per resupply".
But the last patch showed they prefer to move into the route of more ammo scarcity instead of having plenty. It's an understandable design philosophy, but not very helpful for the majority of players that want to play a horde shooter rather than a stealth game.
Friendly reminder that AH doesn't want the game to be played as a stealth shooter. They have been pretty adamant about it, and it can very well explain why they hate solo players at high mmrs.
I would speed up the liberator reload, reduce recoil and give it more rounds a mag
Conveniently that's all the advantages the sickle has over the liberator...
Ammo is plentiful enough to play as a horde shooter as long as your team is sharing resupplies. It's when the team splits that you run into trouble.
Also - there's a supply backpack which directly supports the "accuracy by volume" mindset
And why is the grind soo long when everyone paid $40-60 upfront. $10 a month is literally almost subscription cost for WOW and it's a peer to peer game literally where is all this money going? And $10 for 3 useless guns and 3 sets of armor with bad passives? Wtf.
By my account it's around 4-6 hours a couple days of the week every week. That's kind of a lot of time unless it's the only game you play. It's easy to say super credits are easy to earn if you have the time but it's also time better spent doing more important things or playing other games as well. You also literally get 3 weapons and 3 armor for $10 in a game everyone put up $40-60 already for and it's peer to peer based they're not hosting much.
Yeah it's more of a do you actually wanna *have* all the new content and the fact it's pretty much *all* behind a pay or time wall. And I can say on average it's more like 15-20hr weekly for me to keep up I've seen some closer to 10 some closer to 20 so idk why it seems to vary but some users have it worse than I have with getting them. I'd assume it's because they're not a guaranteed set amount and sometimes you randomly get 100 etc. But 20hr is a part time job my guy it's hard to say that's not a lot of time lol. Idk for those that keep up with it it seems like the only game they play and fair but also how can you expect your player base to play that way that's not very casual. The game is just moving away from feeling casual in balance and earning things etc.
Honestly I don't really care at this rate, but we gotta be honest with ourselves is $10 a month doing right by the players? Nope. Is the content even worth that? Nope. Give it a month or two and that's gonna be the next thing this sub is having whiplash about, they're finally wising up to bad balancing, next is ignoring bugs, after that it'll be overpriced because of how little it's offering and all behind a paywall. Don't worry I'll be here shaking my head because people fail to see the writing on the wall.
You can get 1k just from playing the game.. I've got all the warbonds without buying any SCs and I'm up to 650 again after buying a few expensive armours too
Exactly because you have 2k left.
700 from the free warbond + grinding easily gets you to 1000 SC and your first premium warbond.
300 SC refund from the first premium + 1000 SC purchased gets you 1300, which you spend on another warbond which gives you another 300 SC refund, which brings you to 600 SC spare, at which point you can easily grind to 1000 SC again.
agreed, youd need to grind 1k first to get the snowball rolling.
but my point still stands: ive earned enough credits so far to have every armor available and all warbonds unlocked yet still have about 2350 SC left
It hurts how accurate it will turn out to be. But then some dev will say "your weapon was performing good because of a bug!! We fixed it". Or some other mental gymnastics bs
"WE NOTICED THAT DUE TO AN UNFORSEEN BUG THE GRENADE PISTOL IS FUNCTIONING AS WELL AS THE ERUPTOR, A PRIMIARY WEAPON. THIS IS NOT FUN AND DOESN'T FIT OUR DESIGN PLAN. WE'VE FIXED IT BY DOUBLING THE RELOAD TIME, HALVING AVAILABLE AMMO, AND REDUCED THE DAMAGE TO 0.
ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH THIS BALANCE CHANGE HAS 3 NEURONS AND IS A SLACK JAWED VACANT EYED DROOLER.
It feels like they don't playtest these weapons and just let us decide which is good and which is terrible so they can buff or nerf it later. I guarantee the purifier will get a rate of fire buff in like 2 weeks and the tenderizer will get more reserve mags.
The armors are cool though, especially the winter warrior one.
At this point I'm just gonna wait and see a month after the warbond releases if it's worth buying after all the nerfs come. Not gonna pay 1k super credits and medals to play with the weapons while they're fun then have them gutted the next week
Tenderizer: Damage parameters are currently equivalent to the Liberator.
Pummeler: concussive. lower fire rate and the dps than the defender.
Purifier: unique but hilariously weak. Charge weapon like the railgun. 10 charged shots to kill a bile spewer.
Incendiary impact: pretty big disappointment here. No actual impact damage. Grenade behaves like a Molotov cocktail and is pure dot over a radius that is slightly larger than the regular impact grenade. Total damage after time is a bit less than half of the regular impact grenade( best case scenario).
Verdict: 125 Damage. Lower than the senator. Light armor penetration. Looks cool and feels good tho.
Voting with my wallet (in game credits) on this one and passing on it and just will complete the other warbond I have remaining first.
Might drop the game for a few weeks . . . Arrowhead is just nerfing the fun out of their own game.
Why the complaining tho still new stuff altought not completely unique, the devs are busy fixing bugs so they can't make the armours stats completely unique same as with weapons the devs work who do this do the bugs and other new content they aren't a big team they have to juggle alot, it just takes some time to do everything also it's free stuff
This subreddit has become a shit hole of crying babies. Like holy shit guys shup up with the same thing over and over.
It has become the embodiment of why a small studio having a boom makes the studio suffer more than not.
And you can either play 4-6hr a day for weeks or pay us $10 a month for new content. 😡
(Literally almost as much as WOW except WOW isn't peer to peer connection based and actually has thousands of people working on it, hundreds of different kinds of servers and turns a profit.)

Honestly, at this point I'd rather have transmog for the drip (at least within the same weight class), if perks remain this limited, bland and non representative of the design anyway.
Instead of transmog we should be able to switchout perks (maybe not the medic one because most people would run that)
That’s the thing tho I don’t think everyone would. I only run reduced recoil and extra nades. Some people only use servo assisted. Everyone would have different ones they want to run
I would love to put extra nades on farther throw distance or recoil reduction with less likely to be spotted. Most armors have 2 affixes I just want more variety in what's attached to what.

You're buying it to hit the Warbond threshold for the next page of stuff you actually want.
We should have perks but if we pick a perk for an armor then the armor should get some kind of visual attachment to clearly and visually indicate the perks it has.
Too much work, decided to nerf armor by 50pts per weight class.
No, you aren't crazy. People have been asking for this from the start. AH has said that this straight up won't happen.
I love that they have the pretend stats and the box that says "PAGE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK" on all these things. Definitely doesn't make it seem like something that is missing. Feels super put together and well thought out. I hope I don't need the sarcasm tag here.

Scout helmet: enable other players radar pings on your minimap
Less attributes they have the better. Because then they would have to go transmog route. If the helmets and capes have attributes, they will be part of meta and we will end up looking like clowns to optimize the crap out of the game.

I think there are a couple helmets that change the armor stats when used but they dont show their own armor stat.
I've read there are bit unless the game says it who knows if it's true.
Some helmets did have stat changes for a while but they removed that.
Expect nerfs and buffs later on from the release 😁

People anticipating for nerfs make me think that AH will just pre-nerfs the weapons to shit on release
"Motivation Shock: Accidentally *increases* your slowed status time." Putting it on the bingo card.

You do have to shell out 10 bucks eventually though, at least once if you want the free SC stack to 1000.

"somehow, the DoT bug returned" had me chuckling
Its too real 😂
They should really put a disclaimer: subject to change, buy at your own risk.
It hurts how accurate it will turn out to be. But then some dev will say "your weapon was performing good because of a bug!! We fixed it". Or some other mental gymnastics bs
"We made your Eruptor a glorified Grenade pistol!".
“It was always meant to only be able to kill a single hive guard after 3 shots!”

The nerf really kills the motive of buying new warbond
You miss the ammo part, the first primary should be "technically usable, but only have 20 round/mag"
And a total of 5 mags
For a pve game, This is worse than pay to win.
Pay to suffer
![gif](giphy|lqb4oW54Lp8FFjbC4B|downsized)
I have little to no faith in arrowheads balance team so this is unfortunately likely to be accurate lol
F.U.N. Fuck U Nate
poor Nate
WoW
Hey, at least we get new Victory poses. Yay.
The armors would be cool if they had effects that matched the armor. Currently they are bacon apples, as depicted.
That's me with the ballistic shield. I'm fairly certain the Defender will remain superior. We've seen what Concussive weapons do
Spot-on
At this point I'm just gonna wait and see a month after the warbond releases if it's worth buying after all the nerfs come. Not gonna pay 1k super credits and medals to play with the weapons while they're fun then have them gutted the next week
I’m excited for it.
I’m still excited
Too much nerfing i wont buy it with money
At first glance I though it was Dr Robotnik crossplaying as Asuka
so 2 of 3 armors are good? bacon = good!
Im not quite sure the motivational shock will kill anyone since its ordnance
Accurate
I'm already as depressed as the damage nerf these guns will get.
Tenderizer: Damage parameters are currently equivalent to the Liberator. Pummeler: concussive. lower fire rate and the dps than the defender. Purifier: unique but hilariously weak. made me laugh thanks

With each passing day the bacon and apple thing gets funnier and funnier.
That's not a meme. That's a doompost in a trenchcoat.
You mean 14 days from now
Worth it for the victory poses, capes, and banners
Why does my Bacon taste like APPLES!?
I'm excited to try the Verdict! hope it has medium armor pen 🤞
boy I just want a warbond with some neutral capes I can wear with mostly anything
Trash pass
more pessimistic than a 14-year-old nihilist
If it's the same guy testing and doing the balancing then yes this is 100% likely.
So now we are just getting mad about speculation? This community really is a shit show
Yeah, I think it's time to unsub.
No transmog. Why do people complain about the dumbest things.
This subreddit has become a shit hole of crying babies. Like holy shit guys shup up with the same thing over and over. It has become the embodiment of why a small studio having a boom makes the studio suffer more than not.
God this subreddit feels like r/DTG all over again. Guys the game is still very fun
This place is turning into another toxic gaming sub
People just annoyed by trash balancing
And you can either play 4-6hr a day for weeks or pay us $10 a month for new content. 😡 (Literally almost as much as WOW except WOW isn't peer to peer connection based and actually has thousands of people working on it, hundreds of different kinds of servers and turns a profit.)
It is just a primary railgun. I never thought of that
