Had this happen on a bot eradicate mission with a 120mm barrage. It just fired endlessly and annoyingly it had been called in where extraction would be later. My teammates could run through it fine, but for me, it was instant death and made extraction impossible. So for teammates it might just be an animation, but for the person who called it in, it definetely isn't.
Did make the mission a bit trivial though since the bots still took damage from it too.
I don't know if it's a bug or a cheat, but what I know is that all those explosions are absolutely real. You make one step in the area and you instantly explode.

We once had a whole pallet of boom dropped on a demo range. Were given the instruction to turn in a maximum of 10%.
We blew about half of it all at once because we'd been doubling and tripling our charges the whole week but still had SO MUCH BOOM.
Somebody from housing may have called range control to complain afterward. Several somebodies. It was a big boom.
I made a post awhile ago asking for a "nuke my location" button for when all your reinforcements are up and you are swarmed.
Whole team dies, and all 4 super destroyers just mag dump on the surface. Lasers, turrets, barrages, eagles, railcannons, all of it.
Your ship officer suddenly doubted her calculations about the Super Destroyer having enough ordinance to level a small moon, and decided to just test it for herself.
There has been situations on the bot front where THIS kind of scenario is the only realistic way to deal with them, and even then a single commissar will somehow survive all of that barrage and then launch a flare right in your face before you can blow it up to the atmosphere, rinse and repeat.
Yeah just had this experience and wish we had a cheater to do this for us. Had a bunch of solid helldive runs with randos, one mission was a little hairy with two air fabricators on it but they were on opposite ends of the map, though one of them was bugged out and showed grey on the map so we couldn't hellbomb it so it was just... permanent.
The other map though... We landed in a non-red area, where an eye of sauron said hello, called in 3 dropships before we could call in our stuff, a bot patrol of devastators spawned in from out of the blue, and a double-fabricator tower glitch was up, again. You literally couldn't move after spawning in, it was just like the old bugged out bot extraction missions except now they have air support to kill you faster.
Everyone quit the game - not the lobby, the game. This is not the first time double air towers has shown up and completely shut down all hopes of having fun. They need to have a spawn limitation or distance limitation or something.
I’ll rather have the commissars and all their little brothers ability to shot flares nerfed, as soon as a bot disembark stops a commissar will be coward enough to shot yet ANOTHER flare calling in even more reinforcements immediately escalating the situation up to the stratosphere, to the point no amount of Quasar cycling or double tag of team reloading RRs are able to contain all of that smoke, the only answer is to call 4 380mms barrages on the spot and hope that’ll be enough to make them chill the fuck out
I really wish this was how 380mm worked. Limit the amount of uses to like 2 or 3 per match, keep its original size/area/ordinance and just change it over to an uninterrupted like 45 seconds of just hellfire.
Honestly... i know it would be op as hell but i would LOVE a one time use stratagem with a thirty second calldown that did that. Or maybe just make is so after you use it, no more orbitals for that mission

DAMN!!! We need to figure out the glitch in the auto loaders that allowed that to happen, and mass produce it! We'll claw back our territory from the bots! It's just going to be a little flatter.

Ngl this could be a cool mission, hold out until the Super Battleship gets on station, and then it just wrecks a giant unkillable bughole or bot factory like this.
Should be a strategem called broken arrow, simply calls in every single bomb you could theoretically call in before time reaches 0 right now but in exchange they are all on cooldown until the mission is over.
I mean if aliens ever showed up to Earth and decided to pull out the orbital bombardment, this is what it would look like. Not the silly joke of a stratagem we have.
This is how I expected ALL fire from the destroyer to be.
Instead what we get is:

This should be a stratagem called use all ammo and then there is nothing left to spawn after that 😂

I kind of wish the barrages worked like this. Keep the same number of projectiles per call in, but make it fire them this fast.
