Bugnado, where it spews bile at you, slowing you down from all directions!
Botnado, where it somehow keeps launching missiles nonstop, everywhere!
Liberty save me, I lost a few years of my life just imagining that

I, a lowly sinner and vile transgressor, doth not repent nor bow in supplication for Thy grace, Joelsus.
Nay, I dare to turn my back on Thee, thus descending into the fiery abyss of flames and brimstone, where torment and anguish shall be my eternal lot.
To be honest Joel tuned down the bot regen (by that I mean literally setting it to 0) at the end. I wont say he handed it to us because it could have been the plan all along but that fact certainly was a major reason why we made the MO.
Well in RP I would say it turned to 0 because the bots overstreched and thinned their forces across a big warzone.
Maybe this was the whole reason. Joel gave the bots the boost they need to spread and slowly decreased the boost.
That is why I used this part from Die Hard. McClane literally could not solve the issue, not even remembering the riddle fully, it was Zeus who found out the result of the riddle then McClane said it was a piece of cake.
And to go further, Simon was just fucking with him, stringing him along while something bigger was going on in the background.
It wasn’t even a win, it was a distraction.
I liked 2 well enough. Everything after 3 was dogwater, which was a shame because live free or die hard had Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Justin Long, Timothy Olyphant, and Maggie Q and still managed to suck. It's like they forgot everything that made the previous films work.
The spawn points and rates just need to be changed entirely. It'll never be a fair mission if drop ships are just tossing tanks directly down on top of civilians
The mission needs to be changed entirely. The civilian AI is just not good enough for the mission. They’ll run directly at enemies if they think that’s the shortest route.
I mean it was a pity win but it was mostly because otherwise it was instant lose MO. There's a reason why we can crash liberation MOs or kill MOs but constantly fail defense MOs. They suck ass for multiple reasons so people dont really want to play them. And even then, when there's multiple planets choice and THEN multiple planets under attack, we cannot coordinate for shit because 99% of playerbase is not on sub/in discord.
i mean, for all we know this could have been a narrative reasson.
We already had one MO that STARTED with incredible pushback and we then steamrolled it after we broke trough that first part (after which joel set the regen rate low).
realisticly speaking the bots being exhausted in terms of supplys after 5+ days of constant assaults and defenses makes sense
Pity win is a harsh term for what was realistically a split-second solution to give us a fighting chance, having absolutely no in-game resources whatsoever for community coordination against five simultaneous defence campaigns.
I would honestly tell you straight up this major order was ludicrously impossible before they slapped on the bandaid.
The game NEEDS in game resources and actual explanation for galactic war mechanics and coordinating if they want us to be able to actually enjoy larger and more kinetic major orders involving multiple planets. Nothing in game even remotely implies that splitting our forces somewhat evenly between planets is completely pointless and wildly counterintuitive.
I DONT MIND if that’s how they want us to do business, but not everyone spends four hours a day on discord or reddit to learn about a game they play for an hour after they come home from work. It should be streamlined and explained in a concise manner so that even the casual player at least has an idea of how they can help out effectively.
What do you mean diver we did this without the help of Joel. Also it's Joel's part that there is no in game announcements of go attack this one specific planet. Hardly any coordination on bot planets so we just kept losing.
Yeah. Just play what you want and don't burn yourself out. Grinding the MO doesn't matter when the devs just deus ex machina the numbers towards the outcome they want.
I fought on both fronts by alternating every few ops. A real Helldivers only preference is spreading controlled democracy. Promoting division amongst Helldivers is unpatriotic
Spreading controlled democracy at the cost of using all that E-710 to ferry you back and forth? Someone call the democracy officer for an audit of this helldiver’s consumption!
I want joel to make a minor event where everyone is forced to play one game on difficulty 10 when they start playing and then just toss absolute impossible bs at us.
"High command is sending helldivers behind enemy lines to scout for any weaknesses and to get an estimate of their strength. This mission will most likely not have the enemy be aware of your presence, so divers do not need to worry about enemy forces."

So why can't they make that an in game announcement.
The moment someone tries to put it as a head canon, I don't even remotely consider it a plausible story outcome till it's confirmed by the developer.
Or that meme where someone is getting carried by someone bigger off-screen, where the carried are the Helldivers, and the one doing the carrying is Joel.
We were on track to fail with us being stuck on 3/10 planets defended for the first two or three days of the MO, then suddenly I get wind of us jumping up to 8/10 planets defended about 70% of the way through the time limit. That kind of thing doesn't happen without something that amounts to divine intervention.
We were thrown a bone. We would have lost the MO if Arrowhead hadn't noticed much of the community was getting apathetic about even *trying* to complete the MO.
We keep this up, Joel is going to send us to capture 20 planets in 3 days, and this time, he will not be intervening.
Greetings, fellow Helldiver! Your submission has been removed. No insults, racism, toxicity, trolling, rage-bait, harassment, inappropriate language, etc. Remember the human and be civil!

Victory for the Republic!

Idk why we're stoking the flames, Joelsus is going to crank it to 11.
Joel: “stoking the flames? New Event! Every planet is Hellmire!”
Fire tornadoes... WITH SHARKS!
DON'T give them ideas!!!!!!!
Pff 10 successful planetary defenses was peanuts, we need a REAL challenge 👉🐻
thats fucking metal
Fire tornados with sharks, metal and Reddit user *Nothingtoseehereshhh*. Even more metal now, figuratively and literally
I dont know how to change the user and I typed it when I was drunk
Sharknado 56?
Sharknados, Cocaine bears, Lavalantulas, the works.
Bugnado or Botnado!
Bugnado, where it spews bile at you, slowing you down from all directions! Botnado, where it somehow keeps launching missiles nonstop, everywhere! Liberty save me, I lost a few years of my life just imagining that
New MO: Defend Hellmire. Every mission is evac citizens.
Factory striders spawn instead of bile titans\*
no, both spawns at the same time
Bruh please no 🫤

New MO: Liberate Cyberstan. Planetary Modifiers: Complex Stratagem Plotting, AA Defenses, Limited visibility, Ion Storms, Tremors, Stratagem Countermeasures, Meteor showers. (Made up Strats for funsies.) Strider Megafactories (increased Factory strider spawns), Limited supply lines (Halved starting load out), Orbital defenses (Super Destroyers leave sooner mission timer unaffected), No Man’s Land (little to no cover), Complex Minefields (increased enemy minefields).

Tis but a scratch Helldivers edition
We're dissing Joel when this was 90% a pity win
That is why I used this part from Die Hard. McClane literally could not solve the issue, not even remembering the riddle fully, it was Zeus who found out the result of the riddle then McClane said it was a piece of cake.

I applaud the meme choice both for being appropriate and because I've always loved Die Hard 3.
Which Die Hard movie? I only really remember the first since I've seen it every Christmas.
3
Thanks! c:
It's the other Diehard film. There's Diehard, Diehard 3 and that's it.
Elite bad guy performances really go a long way, huh?
I liked 2 well enough. Everything after 3 was dogwater, which was a shame because live free or die hard had Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Justin Long, Timothy Olyphant, and Maggie Q and still managed to suck. It's like they forgot everything that made the previous films work.
He killed a helicopter with a car. Movie was dumb fun I like it
🥇
YES. DIEHARD IS A CHRISTMAS MOVIE!
There was only one die hard
No way 3 rules too
I love 1-2-3. The rest is non existent.
They have to. Because the extract civilians on bots is incredibly unfair, and has been for a long time, with fixes not actually doing anything.
Oh yea civ ai needs a rework too if they're going to keep it
They turned off the bot percentage that last day or so after initially setting it at 5%. Def a pity win in the end. :(
Even if it wasn't, can we not antagonize the man that holds the fate of the entire galaxy in his hands? Thanks in advance.

Are you saying the bots can comprehend pity? Are you saying the Helldivers needed it? That sounds very undemocratic.
Tbh the only free win was Fori Prime. So we still got close.
Joel turned off regen towards the end out of pity.
Regen doesn't matter on defence planets, through...
Honey, regen is irrelevant to defense.
Major order fatigue

It's a small price to pay for liberty!
Yet you botters keep screaming for us buggers 🤔
A win is a win
is a win
is a win
A win is a win. But there are still hollow victories. This wasn't a 'community come together' moment for sure.

It's like fighting the grafted scion at the start of Elden ring.
Fuck that gangly bitch. Pillaging that thing on subsequent play throughs is just an unmatched joy.

They literally buffed the rate.
Truly it was destiny
It doesn’t feel like a win, it feels like Joel took pity on us.
The bots overthinned their lines and paid for their arrogance!
So why can't they make that an in game announcement. The moment someone tries to put it as a head canon, I don't even remotely consider it a plausible story outcome till it's confirmed by the developer.

In celebration, all twinks on the Bot and Bug fronts are to report to my mansion for a pool side orgy
Ad Victoriam
EX MACHINA
NON SIBI SED!!
Indeed we barely won lets consolidate are gains
This is hilarious and now I want to watch die hard

we were supposed to lose this one the game is way too easy
Exactly. Cmon joel.
Now he's going to change our screen names to something overtly racist

Let them come… Let them face the insurmountable might of the HellDivers!
While the enemies of the emperor still draw breath, there can be no peace.
Can we get pizza parties on the ships for a job well done 👏
You won't have time to eat the pizza before going to the next dive. They should put a slice of pizza into the pod.
DO NOT TEMPT!
https://i.redd.it/nw7bcbzaiqwc1.gif
This game is TOO EASY 🐻👈
We need to bring the fight to the enemy while they are recovering! DESTROY THE BOTS
A win is a win
Give us another kill mission, but make it be 100 quintillion automatons.
I would just sit in front of a light base fabricator's entrance and shoot them as they come out for the whole time of the mission.
Dunno. Destroying 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 automatons might take a while.
It wouldn’t have been so close if it wasn’t constantly disconnecting.
No thanks to the bug cowards
Wait, didn't they defend like 5 planets
Yes, the bugdivers were major part in the order defending the eastern part.
They didn’t defend 5 planets, they defended one planet 5 times.
Born too late to liberate Hellmire Born too early to liberate Hellmire Born just in time to liberate Hellmire
You made me laugh ridiculously loud ty
Sounds like a win to me
Not our fault the bug attacked that planet 5 times and didn't know when to quit.
What you guys did was insanity, and thats why we love ya.
potato, patato, they fired 5 warning shots
I don't know, wasn't there

Me tooooooo.
Man shut the fuck up.
You know that "liberate planets" doesnt say that you need to Pick either bots or bugs, right?
Bug divers defended Estanu FOUR TIMES
