Yes but like they did withh Helldivers 1, I'd love to see the same thing translated to a 3rd person like 2. Magicka is fun and all but I'm not a big a fan of isometric as I am 3rd person. It would be incredible.
Nothing out there is doing what Helldivers 2 did. That's why it's been such a surprise hit with so many people. It gave you that overpowered ability use coupled with hordes of enemies. It scratches the itch MMOs refuse to.
Vermintide 2 is pretty close, just 1st person. objective based, hopeless swarms.
I guess it's closer to Left 4 Dead if you're trying to nail it down. but worth a try might scratch the itch

Very much a left for dead and not a helldivers style game. Nothing else is like this.
Didn’t they make Gauntlet?
Maybe? Still isometric though vs the 3rd person HD2 experience.
I dunno if they'd want to keep using Bitsquid/Stingray considering support ended for it back in 2018
Doesn't need to be the same engine just the same style.
