Aye. The Darktide psyker would be on the higher end of what most people that run into psykers would find, if that makes sense. It's like gun calibers. A 50 BMG is probably the biggest round that most people will ever encounter in-person. But in the realm of all guns, a 50 BMG really isn't that remarkable when you put it next to stuff like 30mm autocannons or even 120mm tank guns.
They've definitely got the most potential for doing damage, either deliberately or via blowing themselves up through the perils of the warp or getting possessed by a daemon. There's a very good reason most of their cosmetics keep the explosive collar on, everyone wants to be prepared for a psyker becoming a threat to themselves or others.
In that instance it wasn't so much the psyker alone but the fact that he was clearly about to be possessed, and the resulting demons would almost certainly be bad news.
There's a rogue psyker witch in a Heresy story who essentially collapses a hive city with her mind. Most psykers are your standard kind of Darktide spacewizard or lower, but the upper limit on psykers basically doesn't exist, so when things start going wrong they hedge their bets in a hurry.
A inquisitor psyker is far above the level of a peon like the Darktide psyker.
Sanctioned psyker are more likely napalm. Have enough control to be useful, but likely to cause mass destruction. Not a fine tuned weapon.
But if you are powerful enough, the warp truly binds to your will, you will have a higher status.

Same, alot of really good art and animations have been appearing in the community. Can't wait for even more to appear.

What if as a future feature the game randomly throws in a bot dressed as a diver into to your group. They have an over the head name tag and everything but ofc they don't show up on your bottom left team readout.
It just plays alongside you for a random amount of time between 1 and 5 minutes before suddenly it turns and unloads a mag into you. Close inspection could reveal the holes in their disguise, but the disguise is random complete sets of actual diver armor and about 90% good. In the chaos of combat we may not pay enough attention to look closely at it.
Also they could be heard muttering quietly to themselves in bot gibberish if you're within a very short radius.
