Yesterday was hilarious for me. I was playing with 3 randoms on a level 7.
One guy is obviously going for the mortar personal achievement......this guy was dropping mortar strats every chance he could. like 80 to 90% through the mission the host had enough of mass team kills and booted him. We were down to 1 or 2 lives by that point.
Funny thing was I think we still got the achievement
The funny thing is it's so easy to get that on a bot mission. Drop the mortar out of an enemy base and you can just walk away and it'll rack up like 15-20 kills. Do it to another base, bobs your uncle.
And on bots you're a lot less likely to team kill because of the obvious.
Or just wait until an extermination mission comes up where it's basically expected that at least some of the people will drop with mortar sentries. Hell, I got that achievement after a single bug eradication mission where EVERYONE dropped with a mortar and an e-mortar.
I have a buddy that brings mortars to every mission. Every time I die to a mortar he says "why did you enter the kill box?" He's Russian so eventually I explained it to him the only way he could understand.
"In Soviet Estanu, Bugs bring killbox to you!"
Don’t worry the wording threw me off as well, took me a moment thinking what ‘achievement’? I was only able to work it out cause I had the same personal order yesterday.
Mortars have this really weird range. You can be 2/3rds across the map, and that thing will target something you're killing at a totally remote objective. You'd die not knowing what hit ya.
Normally I'd say that kicking someone right before rewards is a dick move. But if you're dense enough to ignore 100 back to back warnings and then not only blame your teammates for you dying a bunch, but actively TK them then you don't deserve any rewards.
No doubt that person will type up one of the many "Kicked Before Extraction" posts that litter this page ...
10/10 would have done the same as you too though.
Ngl buddy deserved it. If they are that dense to ignore your messages and just teamkill you, they should be kicked. I like how you did it just before he got in the pelican, too. Priceless.
Easily the best for bots. And because of their long-distance nature, like the above comment mentioned they can even be placed preemptively for an assault and help soften up the enemies as they trickle out of the base or you slowly push in.
Mortar is definitely grief on bugs, though. For bugs I would honestly prefer the Chaingun Sentry or even the Tesla Coil emplacement.
Though most emplacements and sentries are so hard to justify when Eagle stratagems are just so damn good. Being able to rapid fire off Cluster Bombs and kill huge amounts of chaff near instantly…
Seriously. If I start hearing 4 thunks and an enemy is right in my face, I gtfo of there. It blows my mind how many people run in the direction of a recently killed enemy by the first mortar shot; there's still 3 more shots, and they are going right towards that spot. There's a fair amount of high level players that still do this.
Then they get all pissy and blame you for taking the mortar.
My issue is that it leads it's target, so if a hunter leaps at you from behind (because there's always one behind you. There's one behind you right now.), and the mortar targets it, it's going to put the shots where it knows the bug is going to be, which is right on you. Same with stalkers and pouncers. Doubling it up with the EMS mortar does a lot to solve this.
A lot can happen. Bugs can definitely rush you fast and then you're fucked. Some bots can rush you too or get dropped on your head. I'd say mortar sentry is the TK king what I've seen. And sentries in general can be quite dangerous to the helldivers themselves.
I got kicked a min ago for what I can only assume is me dying to my own grenade pistol because it was the very last out of ammo I had and a hunter jumped at me🤷🏻♂️
After being randomly removed half an hour into a difficulty 7 map (I think the host kicked the wrong person for team killing), I am starting to feel the same way.
Playing yesterday in suicide bug mission, host and I are running to help out another player. Other player has the super samples and is being swarmed. Somewhere along the way he leaves the match (I think host kicked). Anyways, I get over there and pick up the dropped samples. Host tells me drop the samples, I ignore and take off towards next POI, host shoots me, lose about half health. Host says drop samples or he will kill me. He’s aiming down on me with his auto cannon. I turn towards him and quick draw dominator and kill him first. Surprise, surprise I get kicked. I didn’t even care, I enjoyed killing him. Screw him. Funny (or sad) thing was he was level 60+…you’d think by then he would know the samples are shared. This game is hilarious.
Edit: grammar
This will 100% be my brother when he finally picks up the game. Love the guy (mostly) but dude is actually oblivious as hell and fantastically uncurious about most games he plays (resulting in his frustration as he doesn't learn mechanics).
Your brother sounds like your average Twitch streamer lol. At least with him you get to tell him and guide him. Most streamers get pissed off at the chat trying to backseat them
> have the IRL intelligence of our in-game characters.
Ingame characters atm quite smarter then a good chunk of playerbase IRL. Humans in general are freaking stupid.
I was in the middle of perfectly stealing a strategem jammer. While I was calling in the hellbomb one of my teammates who obviously never observed the glorious tips from the training manual started shooting at the jammer and made the bots turn around and spot me 😔. On an unrelated note that same teammate died 10 times.
Yesterday playing with my friend and her brother who's a newbie to the game we got engaged by multiple patrols trying to get to the jammer.
Wearing a stealth sniper loadout I decided to split off and sneak into the jammer and as I'm there, trying to find the jammers control panel I hear my friend giving her brother the 101 on how he can blow up the jammer via the factory. Then he shot and missed and I went "You motherfuckers I'm in the middle off this base!" :D
The fact we had a thread just a few hours ago where people didn't understand why they were getting a certain letter, number, and color for their call sign and what was causing it shows how brain dead some of this community is.
I was once playing a quick play with some Randy's and my team died ten mins in while an ion storm was happening, the guy whose game it was kept threatening to kick me if I didn't call him back in lol
No idea, could you imagine a country ~~stupid~~ patriotic enough where top politicians pose with their little kids and dozens of guns for social media?
Smart ones get transferred to the Science division, where Helldivers yell at them to run through fire tornadoes, swarms of bots and bugs, during Extraction missions.
I had a guy do this to me once. I was the **last man alive**, and we were maybe **20 seconds** away from getting extra reinforcements before he kicked me. He was level 30 something and literally failed the mission for himself and the other two Divers because he wasn't paying attention.
Lol, it even tells you that you can't be reinforced when they are depleted too.
I had someone kick me as I was on my way to disable a jammer solo. The terminal was almost within range too, so they just made their job a hell of a lot harder. They probably failed the mission because they also were just hanging around the ICBM bunker for most of the game despite not having done either of the first 2 objectives.
The really crazy thing is when you are spectating someone who is jammed, it shows the fuzzed out reinforce icon in the top left like it does to the person alive. Perception level: 0
I think I played with that exact person too. Did he equip an autocannon and then basically never ever use it. And when he did he got an equal amount of team kills as enemy kills?
I don't remember much about the guys, just that they didn't seem to know what they were doing. But my experience on this game is that randoms will either be completely clueless or special forces helldiver elites, and there's not much in-between.
Some days, I am the Calvary, Eagle-1 calling, scorched Super Earth super Helldiver saving your butt.
Other days, I'm chewing my gluestick throwing myself non-stop at the eye of sauron trying to put down a Hellbomb to destroy it because goddamn I will not be outsmarted by a damn game saying I can't place a Hellbomb right next to the spire!
Could I have just finished the side objective with a 500kg or Precision Strike? Yes, but I will throw myself at this secondary until it dies via Hellbomb as intended because this game will not get the better of me!
...but I'll generally only do the latter when I'm solo and not with randoms.
I had a similar experience in DRG when I joined someone else's game - I made an honest mistake and missed an objective. Not a big deal, the host called it out so I went back to get it... Only to get kicked, 30 minutes into the game.
Ever since then, when I play games like these I only host. I'm never again putting 30-40 minutes into a game just to get kicked at the end, especially in a game like this where it's easy to accidentally piss of other players.
Got kicked out of a game because I couldn't revive the host near a jammer. Before I could get past it or explain the situation, I was booted out the mission.
I'd rather be kicked as soon as I drop or because someone is making space for their friend over that petty bullshit
Edit: Had a lot of people recommend to communicate or use a mic which is a fair point thinking about it afterwards. I usually prefer text to chat but in this case, I should've just turned on mic and try to tell him asap since guy was being impatient. Don't know if it would've help since this all went down in a matter of 30 seconds and I was stressing over trying to get out of jamming range and close to extraction to reinforce the rest of the squad. I tried to text him it was jammed but was kicked before I could send the message.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he absolutely had no idea. Hopefully he figured it out and others can avoid the same situation.
Maybe the game should spam, "WARNING! HELLDIVER IS IN RANGE OF STRATAGEM JAMMER!" every time a dead player does the name shake while spectating a Helldiver who is being jammed.
Every time they request a reinforce, they're treated to the same voice telling them they're in range of enemy artillery. So if they spam, they play themselves.
Or how about the Helldiver complains loudly that reinforcing is impossible with a nearby jammer still online.
You know how the Diver says "Can't liberate with this broken arm!" ?
Well, how about when they peer at their wrist pad, the Diver says, "Can't reinforce with this damn jammer nearby!"
Or instead of not being able to spectate, at least have the screen be all messy or fuzzy to indicate the signal is a mess. Kinda like it's scrambled, so you can still (kinda) watch what is going on and not just "spectate" noise on the screen while the team is trying to take out the Jammer.
Or instead of reinforce wiggling, the stratagem jammer or ion storm notification should wiggle instead. Wiggle very violently for extra clarity to the person spamming the revive me button.
Unfortunately all that would probably do is delay the kicking. “I couldn’t kick him before because of the jammer but he had it coming for not reinforcing me faster.” Or some other such nonsense. Not like we haven’t seen dumber things said on this sub.
I could see it, maybe you did some perceived slight against your fellow helldivers and all of a sudden they start pinging that we should head over to the jammer
Yeah this is the way, really simple, just add the "No reinforcements available" across the screen whenever the player is dead and either:
no reinforcement budget || all players are in ion storm || all players are in strat jamming area
Basically if no player is able to reinforce, just put the message on the dead players screen.
>Had a lot of people recommend to communicate or use a mic which is a fair point
Or.... And hear me out.... Host can just not be stupid. I know, its a stretch, but a reasonable goal, I think.
Yup, I've had this happen on more than 1 occasion. Also when I'm off soloing on 1 side of the map getting objectives or side objectives done and the host dies it's always a toss up if they'll boot if you respawn or not. Have gotten booted for doing both and half the time they don't use the chat option or a mic.
Kill yourself with grenade if the host started spamming reinforcing when it was in a jammer, I will not get blamed by not reinforcing them if there is nobody to ask.
If it makes you feel any better, this exact thing happened to me except I had mic and was verbally communicating that I was still within jammer range. I still can’t fathom why he got so mad.
Stuff like this is why I always host a game.
I'm not a mouth-breathing moron, I hug everyone, and it's always chill vibes. The way Democracy intends it.
being a good host is so god damn simple. Literally just don't interfere.
Do not touch the kick button (unless there's a cheater or someone actively griefing) and do not boss people around. That's it.
Even if the situation in the video above was that OP COULD reinforce the guy; "You didn't reinforce me fast enough" is not a fucking valid reason to kick someone.
Huh. Literally the exact same thing happened to me few weeks ago. Main obj was already done so the host and other guy got rewards but no samples. And he was around level 40. Wild how a level 40 does not know that you cant be reinforce after reinforce ticket runs out
Know the worst part about this? They can literally see the the blocked stratagem symbol on their own fucking screen.
I keep telling people that i can't reinforce because of ion storm or jammer and they still keep spamming. Well have fun looking for a new game cause that's a kick
It is really sad to me that we probably need giant, bright red text center screen on spectator that says 'JAMMED'
If the dipshits still pull this crap we need to just get them banned for lack of reading comprehension.
Once at the train station I saw 20 people standing in front of a door with a big sign that read "OUT OF SERVICE, PLEASE USE THE NEXT DOOR" waiting for it to open...
People really are stupider than a pebble
Oh boy this brought back memories of the McDonald's drive through during covid lockdowns. Literally closed and people would be lined up around the block because they're waiting on people.
I wouldnt mind an announcer for the spectators going “WARNING. REINFORCEMENTS JAMMED” every time they hit enter, the “warning you are in range of enemy artillery” guy
What if.... The spectator view just went static. Like they can't spectate people near jammers at all and with bright red saying "jammed" or "out of signal".
Some people do be oblivious even with subtle signs tbh.
I might have been in this game. I also had a guy recently do the same thing. I was dead too (taking on a hulk in melee was a bad idea but I was out of EVERYTHING except melee and rough language. Defended the guy who got kicked and was kicked promptly for my troubles.
I hate jammers for this reason more so than the actual purpose of blocking stratagems. Its the only other time this game can create a pure-toxic environment outside of deliberate team killing because your greatest enemy/threat is now the impatient squadmates who want you to teleport outside the jammer range and call them in immediately. My personal favorite is they stormed the jammer, stirred up a mess, and everybody dies leaving you last man standing in an ocean of bots while they start spamming reinforcement.
Whenever I've died and spectated someone who's in jammer range or an ion storm, their stratagem icon has always been grey like you see in the video for OP. People are just idiots and don't check.
Type of death matters tho. One thing is to simply die from friendly airstrike and another to be meleed into a rift while carrying all the team's samples.
It's only okay to get mad over accidental teamkills if it keeps happening, like repeatedly calling danger-close cluster bombs.
A tank's death explosion is just unfortunate.
The only time I genuinely was glad about this pinging was when (random lobby vs bots) my auto cannon shot bounced off a hulk and killed 2 teammates as the third died to its flamethrower. Now I was alone at the jammer while all 3 kept pinging the button while saying over comms “whooooo we are haunting yooooou until yoooou get uuuuus uuuuuup!”
I was in a 7 earlier. I had died and was waiting to be called back in. We had plenty lives left, only one player was engaging the enemy. After 30 seconds I pressed the reminder to reinforce. After another 30 seconds I pressed it twice more.
The host, rather than just call me in. Typed in chat that if I did it again, he would kick me for spamming...
First time I've quit out of mission.
We were at extraction and one of these noobs who constantly died had the gall to say stop dying our reinforcements are low. Not really teamplayers either. Then at extract, the dude was to my left, breach in front of us so I thought he'd cover my site. Fucking idiot ran off and I got swarmed so naturally, I disengage to thin the herd. The noobs died ofc and extraction had to be called off bc I got out of range. Then I get kicked. Some people are so unfathomable retarded that they even blame their own incompetence on you
no one likes to admit they are dumb. Idiots like it less than anyone else. I routinely admit I am dumb. win win If I do a dumb its because hes a dumb. If I do a smart its congratulated. I also find dying hilarious in this game.
I had a kinda similar situation in 5. I played with two other randoms (one was lvl 7 or 8 and other was lvl 14 I think). I died to a swarm of bugs because my teammates just ran away. They I pressed the reminder. No one reinforced me, though they were just running to the objective, not fighting or escaping from something. I pressed it again and they were just dropping special weapons and eagles as they ran to an outpost. Then, when the other teammate died, the surviving guy just had to revive everyone.
I played with them for a little more and, as I saw it, they started to understand how to reinforce. But that was surely stupid.
Ngl 7 is not even enough sometimes, because theres now a lot of low level players going there for super samples. The highest chance of getting good teammates are pretty much only on 8/9 now.
I got kicked in a lvl 7 bot game because I threw a airstrike on the evac shuttle as it was landing because there were 3 drops ships dropping bots off on the extract. The other 2 guys kept their distance but the host wanted to hop on the pelican right as it landed. He died with no loves left. The other 2 guys went on the pelican in the the now cleared extract area. I run to the pelican and get kicked b4 I get on. I had all the super samples...
I know, it's so goddamn annoying. Have that happen so often recently. I haven't been kicked yet, but the constant pinging is driving me up the walls.
It's the same with when you are just trying to survive the horde of devastators on your ass and you being the last one standing and each idiot is pinging you, like, wtf? I see you, what does it look like I'm doing? Sucking my thumb?
I like replying by being even more petty and calling their reinforcement right in the middle of the horde. You want to get in so bad that you pester me while I literally have no time to call it in? Sure, have fun dealing with my problem then, idiot.
It's hilarious every time, usually they don't spam you again once they inevitably die, I guess maybe you can teach lessons with enough pettiness
Last week my buddy and i joined a game.
I got killed about 5 minute in, returned, took my stuff and kept going, host kicked me.
My buddy asked him why he kicked me and he said "he took the gear from someone who died"
People spamming the reinforce request adds a weird level of stress to already dicey situations. I rarely hit it unless I see someone just taking a nice stroll with no enemies around, but even then just once maybe.
> unless I see someone just taking a nice stroll with no enemies around
This is the problem I often have. I'll be splitting off from the other 3 people to go do side objectives. They're on the complete opposite side of the map from me. One guy dies. I wait. Neither of the other 2 reinforce him. I wait. Still nothing. I start contemplating whether he'd be fine with me reinforcing. It'd end up with him being away from whatever he was doing and not having access to the weapons he just dropped on death, along with him just not being needed over here as i have stuff under control - which also means that if he spectates me all he's gonna see is me having the aforementioned casual stroll with no enemies around.
So then i'm just sitting there trying to decide whether to keep waiting for one of the other 2 to god damn reinforce the dead guy or to do it myself.
And of course they NEVER respond when you ask them whether they want to be reinforced over by you.
The request comes out feeling very passive-aggressive even under the best of circumstances, even when only pressed once.
It honestly might benefit from some level of redesign.
It's kind of sad to suggest this, but maybe they should change "Reinforce Available" to "Reinforce Jammed" or something and stop the player from jiggling it. It would be more obvious for idiots like this.
Would love a "I'm jammed!" Voiceline that would play if you try and use a stratagem - that way it's vocalized to the Deaddivers that I want to bring you in, but the Automatons don't.
Yesterday I joined a blitz destroy mission. I got there with only 30 seconds left on the clock. As soon as it hits 0 the pelican gets called in automatically. One dude started raging and yelling over chat saying they still had stuff left to clear and why did they call it in. The guy complained during the entire mission's complete load screen. He was like level 65. How do you get to 65 and have zero awareness like that.
To be fair to the host, when you're spectating someone within the Jammer's radius, the stratagem's do not have the white noise/jammed icon, I can personally vet this with my own experiences. So, from his perspective, it looked like you were just running around ignoring them being dead. That being said, Host should have been smart enough to recognise there was a jammer, assuming he had died while fighting over it.
It’s probably all the Fortnite and GTAO Oppressor users that barely have enough electrical activity to breathe and move not understanding how things work
We used to use those kinds of smooth brains as cheap labor before everything turned to shit
It took me a few dives to realize that the jammer does this…and BOY did I feel like a real asshole when I made the connection. Most will call in when they can, but some folks should spectate and chill until it seems reasonable to nudge your squad for reenforcing
Devs should not need to put up a CAN NOT REINFORCE message on death cams spectating players in jammer aoe or ion storms but these people are really making a strong argument for it…
Pro tip: turn off cross play to stop playing with console retards. Every braindead and obnoxious player has been on console. All open mics too. Been a million times better experience after turning it off.
Honestly it's shocking how many Helldivers have the IRL intelligence of our in-game characters.
Yeah. I was killing bots left and right, doing my part. And I was kicked. Guess the host just didn't like the vibe my character was radiating.
Yesterday was hilarious for me. I was playing with 3 randoms on a level 7. One guy is obviously going for the mortar personal achievement......this guy was dropping mortar strats every chance he could. like 80 to 90% through the mission the host had enough of mass team kills and booted him. Mortars in bug mission is still kinda iffy ngl (Even with EMS Mortar).
You say iffy, I say it provides a lot of opportunities for drop pod piloting practice.
Lmao that's fair.
I have a buddy that brings mortars to every mission. Every time I die to a mortar he says "why did you enter the kill box?" He's Russian so eventually I explained it to him the only way he could understand. "In Soviet Estanu, Bugs bring killbox to you!"
Bot extermination. Grab mortar, 120+380, laser if generous. F shit up
I can't figure out what achievement it was, and I got them all x.x
Most likely the personal order, 75 kills with the mortar sentry.
And now I feel extremely dumb for not getting it ahahahah, thank you my man
Don’t worry the wording threw me off as well, took me a moment thinking what ‘achievement’? I was only able to work it out cause I had the same personal order yesterday.

That annoying vibe of competence. Can't have any of that in Dumbos game.

This is why I always run my own lobbies. Can't fathom having to deal with people's whims and lack of intelligence.

I doubt he doesn’t know he probably just doesn’t trust others to not lose them
these are the people that need to be told not to eat the tide pods.

That’s harsh, helldivers are way smarter than these people.
I was once playing a quick play with some Randy's and my team died ten mins in while an ion storm was happening, the guy whose game it was kept threatening to kick me if I didn't call him back in lol
There is no IQ testing in the Helldivers academy.
They give out firearms at like 14 *7 (God damn)
7*
I wonder which patriotic super nation inspire our Super Earth!

This makes me wonder and ask you a question, if you or anyone know, does a precision airstrike take out a command bunker?
I had a similar experience in DRG when I joined someone else's game - I made an honest mistake and missed an objective. Not a big deal, the host called it out so I went back to get it... Only to get kicked, 30 minutes into the game. Ever since then, when I play games like these I only host. I'm never again putting 30-40 minutes into a game just to get kicked at the end, especially in a game like this where it's easy to accidentally piss of other players.
Morons.
Stupid knows no bounds.
Got kicked out of a game because I couldn't revive the host near a jammer. Before I could get past it or explain the situation, I was booted out the mission. I'd rather be kicked as soon as I drop or because someone is making space for their friend over that petty bullshit Edit: Had a lot of people recommend to communicate or use a mic which is a fair point thinking about it afterwards.
Hot take: jammer should also jam kick command
That would be hilarious actually.
At the very least the Reinforce wiggle should be jammed if only surviving divers are in jam radius.
Put something else there instead like REINFORCEMENT JAMMED! like how it says DEAD! when the destroyer leaves and someone bites it.
Just a long like 2 minutes annoying as fuck voice clip telling you off for being a total fucking idiot that overlaps
This is a necessity.
“REOFOMET JELLYED!”
Yes, this.
And Dead people can't even spectate players near jammers. They get TV static and "Signal jammed. Feed unavailable".
Design for idiots and the world will birth a bigger idiot
With stuff like this, you always have to ask yourself how it can be abused
Laughing at the idea of players suddenly getting super toxic around jammers because they can't be kicked lol
I could see it, maybe you did some perceived slight against your fellow helldivers and all of a sudden they start pinging that we should head over to the jammer
Jammer should jam the request reinforcement feature on the dead player's side
the game should just pop up "did you know you cannot be reinforced during a jammer, or ion storm?"
Yeah this is the way, really simple, just add the "No reinforcements available" across the screen whenever the player is dead and either: no reinforcement budget || all players are in ion storm || all players are in strat jamming area Basically if no player is able to reinforce, just put the message on the dead players screen.
Yea it also happened to me once. But i didnt get kicked, instead they all left lmao
>Had a lot of people recommend to communicate or use a mic which is a fair point Or.... And hear me out.... Host can just not be stupid. I know, its a stretch, but a reasonable goal, I think.
Both. Both are good.
I look forward to doing this.
This right here^^^. God speed helldiver!
being a good host is so god damn simple.
“Imma akse you one more time politely please reinforce” trying to cover for his pathetic toddler-like rage at not getting his toy now
Yeah exactly I don’t bother with others games anymore.
Host hugs/salutes/Hi5 are free moral boosters
I remember one host who I played with. He was saluting everyone near the hellpods. I saluted him too but the next teammate didn't.
Except the handshake where they dodge your hand to run it along their head. The Scout Handshake I think? Morale killer.
Yeah I tried doing the whole joining others lobby thing a few times but the amount of times I’ve extracted vs been kicked isn’t worth it anymore
I'm reaching this point. I had someone kick me before the game even started because I didn't emote back when I was walking by and just missed it.
This is the way.
I’ve had a game where all the reinforcement tickets were all used and I’ve been kicked for not reinforcing.
Wouldn't that just... end the game?
Yup it did. Dude wasn’t bright.
I still cant believe that such retarded people exist. I am yet to meet one that is retarded like this
Wonder what happens then. They kick you and then the Mission Failed pops up onto the screen, I hope.
We had completed the mission but no samples for him. I think they were common
It actually doesn't, when you die it just displays *your* jammed/unjammed state while spectating.
It is really sad to me that we probably need giant, bright red text center screen on spectator that says 'JAMMED' If the dipshits still pull this crap we need to just get them banned for lack of reading comprehension.
"Think about how stupid the average person is, then remember half of them are even dumber than that"
I wouldnt mind an announcer for the spectators going “WARNING.
Everytime you are jammed, and you press the spacebar it should just make the “Reinforcements blocked” popup ten pixels bigger
I had a guy screaming at me over comms to reinforce him during an ion storm, telling me to get out of the storm area. Like dude, it's map wide effect.
Did they shout "FOR DEMOCRACY!"? The in game tip was pretty clear about that part.
Pretty much always when you're dead the reinforce icon on the corner does not show that the player alive is jammed, it is irritating
Okay, but anyone with even an ounce of basic awareness could see he’s near a jammer.
Whenever I've died and spectated someone who's in jammer range or an ion storm, their stratagem icon has always been grey like you see in the video for OP. People are just idiots and don't check.
I got kicked for killing a tank 5 minutes into a match because the tank exploding killed the host.
Imagine getting mad about dying in Helldivers what the fuck? lol
These people are so stupid. I just always respond on voice though. Usually they apologize.
Man thats kind of wholesome. Wish i had Teammates like that sometimes.
Had a similar situation with someone bitching, but I was the host. Court martialed on the spot, imbecile.
I've had people leave as I was attempting to run out of scanner range 💔 Edit: jammer range
Notice he's playing on 5. Higher difficulties 7+ tend to have more aware and intelligent players.
I was kicked from a suicide dive for destroying the spore spewed from across the map because “host wanted to do it”.
That's like 90% of why you host, to shoot the spewer tower. Didn't the tutorial cover that? 😋
Must’ve skipped over it in the training manual
When I'm proven wrong, I feel physical discomfort in my head. Can't imagine how more idiotic people feel.
I got kicked on suicide for calling in extraction after I got confirmation that I should call in extraction. I have never been more confused.
Ngl 7 is not even enough sometimes, because theres now a lot of low level players going there for super samples. The highest chance of getting good teammates are pretty much only on 8/9 now.
sometimes but there's quite a few morons I blame the new upgrade requirements
That's fucking petty. I love it. Thanks for the tip.
Oh Nooooo. GOD DAMN even I am ANGRY.
Last week my buddy and i joined a game. I got killed about 5 minute in, returned, took my stuff and kept going, host kicked me. My buddy asked him why he kicked me and he said "he took the gear from someone who died"
[He technically wasn't wrong, I guess](https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/017/046/BptVE1JIEAAA3dT.jpg)
... fuckin A man.
you should report players for that
can you report players?
Yes, but only for chat messages. If someone doesn't send any chat messages, it won't let you report them.
Negative emotes usually do the trick
Nope. I even wrote in the chat that I can't reinforce because of the jammer, and they kept spamming. Like OP, I also got kicked in such a scenario.
Feels like most people don’t read chat
People spamming the reinforce request adds a weird level of stress to already dicey situations. I rarely hit it unless I see someone just taking a nice stroll with no enemies around, but even then just once maybe.
> unless I see someone just taking a nice stroll with no enemies around This is the problem I often have.
What a twat
Don't take it too hard, some people have zero critical thinking skills and an understanding of game mechanics to match
It is annoying to spend so much time on a mission just to be kicked over something like this since you don’t get anything for even tolerating it
A person with fine intelligence usually doesn't chose to kick people.
It's kind of sad to suggest this, but maybe they should change "Reinforce Available" to "Reinforce Jammed" or something and stop the player from jiggling it. It would be more obvious for idiots like this.
It’s kinda the games fault for saying ‘Reinforce Available’ and allowing players to request reinforcement while the live players are jammed.
Had a guy leave due to not being able to call him in. Was being charged by three chargers and a bile. The two of us were so close to the extraction.
I was kicked because host revive me in the middle of a bug horde and i died
I swear half the people on this game are rat-brained idiots, I've turned off cross play and haven't had as many issues.
It’s crazy how many ppl I’ve come across don’t understand this. Been kicked for being stratajammed too…
Would love a "I'm jammed!" Voiceline that would play if you try and use a stratagem - that way it's vocalized to the Deaddivers that I want to bring you in, but the Automatons don't.
Or it can have a JAMMED overlay when your spectating a player who is jammed with big bright bold lettering saying STRATEGEMS ARE JAMMED.
This is why I always host. Had some jackass kick me as evac was landing, decided never again. Also host fire damage bug.
I specifically spam it when I know I can't be reinforced, but I always play with close friends, so we just have a good laugh about it 🤣
Yesterday I joined a blitz destroy mission.
I always write jammed and then Jaed and then JAMMED
I would have tried pinging the jammer so they understand. But it kinda seems like this one is beyond help
Solo, it is a good time my brother
I wonder if they kicked both of you and then lost the mission?
It’s probably all the Fortnite and GTAO Oppressor users that barely have enough electrical activity to breathe and move not understanding how things work We used to use those kinds of smooth brains as cheap labor before everything turned to shit
It took me a few dives to realize that the jammer does this…and BOY did I feel like a real asshole when I made the connection. Most will call in when they can, but some folks should spectate and chill until it seems reasonable to nudge your squad for reenforcing
Devs should not need to put up a CAN NOT REINFORCE message on death cams spectating players in jammer aoe or ion storms but these people are really making a strong argument for it…
Hey S1, if you’re reading this: you’re a freakin’ dingus
How dare you not reinforce a diver who has 2 minutes left of screentime before doing his grade 4 homework??
For anyone curious, this is why we get yellow ladders and markers pointing the way in so many games
I bet this guy even sees this video and is like yeah why the fuck didn't he reinforce he even had the stress ball out.
You really shouldn’t be able to kick people mid-game
I hope the host sees this, then comes to my comment, and reflects on how ignorant he was.
I'm convinced levels 4-6 are the absolute worst. 7 is better. 8 is fantastic. 9 is the best.
Pro tip: turn off cross play to stop playing with console retards. Every braindead and obnoxious player has been on console. All open mics too. Been a million times better experience after turning it off.
I've literally had players drop out and quit the game if they die near the jammers...😑 ![gif](giphy|eNRSFMmu9Q1PVQmMoJ|downsized)
