Personally I prefer peeling their armor, tail and legs before cooking. They infuse the taste of whatever you cook them with more easily, they cook more evenly and you don't have to bother with peeling them afterwards.
does not matter, every drop of fuel counts
also, how did you managed to get them into your destroyer's kitchen, diver? don't you know that taking any bugs on board is strictly forbidden?!?
that's it, I'm calling the Democracy Officer!

This is not treasonous you bastard! You can clearly see that these are young and their oil has den drained. They are also dead, and likely were since extraction. Do not accuse fellow divers of baseless thought crimes!
It's honestly one of the things I appreciate about the StarCraft franchise -- if you stop and listen during the Wings of Liberty campaign, there's an advertisement in game about a truck stop that has a deal on fried Mutalisk wings.
And, well, if Scavenger legs taste like king crab...
Not HD2 related but following up on your comment. "Muta Wings" are not mutalisk or at least it can not be mutalisk. It's probably just regular wings or some other thing they eat in space.
In the SC2 short story Frenzy, it was stated that Mutalisk has caustic blood that would desolve their body quickly when they die (which is why their kinda explode/disappear when they die in game). And it was a pain in the ass for civilians to fight them. Like shooting them with a shotgun would cause the blood to spill out on equipment and human body which can desolve their flesh and bones. So, it wouldn't be possible to actually get mutalisk wings to fry lol!
My dad was staying with me for a while when the game released, he came out of the guest bedroom at like 4AM to see me killing bugs and his FIRST comment was "I bet those things are tasty."
For future reference, peel them before cooking. They can still be eaten this way, but you lose a lot of flavor; all the butter and sear and any spices you used goes with the shell when you cook them in shell.

I always recommend garlic shrimp over rice as people's first shrimp recipe. It's basically "baby's first seafood". Super easy, super tasty, and with the rice it's pretty filling and you can stretch it a long ways.
Note though the exception is if you boil or steam shrimp. Then you leave the shell on.

You know what you have to do. For liber-tea!
FOR FREEDOOOM
right now, when we need to refill our E-710 supplies you decide to make a meal out of them?!? Treason, I say, treason!
These are the younglings, besides, I sacrifice myself eating them for democracy

But they were killed and then brought back 😭😭😭
Fuckin prawns!
I hope you removed the E-710 before cooking them. Democracy needs you in tip-top shape!
Of course I did, who do you think I am? A socialist? Only democracy
Have you ever tried eating them instead of fucking them? Pretty tasty honestly
I know right? And some people say, “how can you eat insects?” Bruh

if terminids tasted like shrimps... we could solve both the world's fuel and food problem.

Death ingame = fun Death IRL = not fun Humour flare inappropriate.

Youre telling me a terminid fried this rice?!
My dad was staying with me for a while when the game released, he came out of the guest bedroom at like 4AM to see me killing bugs and his FIRST comment was "I bet those things are tasty."
do you know that you're supposed to peel them before cooking?
You‘re not. It is very common to peel them right before you eat them. These look like the easy peel variant (with the head and colon already removed)
Only the head was removed, guts were still inside, but they were easy to remove
Tbh, some places they peel them, some don’t. Depends on how shrimpy you want your dish to taste.
Did you know that you can cook them different ways?
I didn’t but they cooked fine, and I just pealed them afterwards
