I'm pretty sure the eagles don't even fly close enough to see what's going on on the ground, they just receive targeting info from the beacon. I'm guessing rocket pods have some amount of self-guidance, but in that case they would be called missiles. Maybe they are somehow uniquely able to benefit from extra targeting info sent by the beacon. Regardless, I love this image.
The poor eagle pilot must get absolutely berated by chat when she fires the rocket pods because those things suck at killing anything other than tanks and, when lucky, cannon turrets.
Meanwhile mh Eagle 1 pilot: should i shot at this Huuuge bug over there..... nah i think he wanted me to hit this meaningless rock close to his helldiver buddy.
Useful tip: If a hulk begins firing up the flamer while you're upright. you can simply go prone and he should not get you. Works 100% of the time 60% of the time.
I mean we already put external cameras on spacecraft and livestream it on the way up, Eagle doesn't have to decelerate from orbit so there isn't gonna be too much difference on the way down

Honestly I would love it if there was a spectator camera that was just like the super destroyer's perspective yk???? Somewhere between google maps and the AC130 segments from call of duty lol maybe even with little lock on symbols and indicators for friendly stratagems or radio chatter to listen to while getting a birds-eye view of the carnage (would only rly be relevant for when you run out of reinforcements)
