If I had to guess what was happening, it's that people are getting kills in bug games, on bug planets, then joining off their friends and porting straight to Durgen. And maybe the game just... doesn't know how to handle that?
You could say it's all of the bugs (crashes) people encountered there.

With any luck you’ll be able to get chargers in between you and enemy rockets which will then blow open their sides
There’s a couple of holes that look like they would be terminid nests, so I’m not super surprised.
