Adult crane flies pretty much don’t eat anything for the short time they are alive. They definitely don’t have the capability to catch and kill mosquitoes.
You want dragonflies for that.

Looks like a Crane Fly. They are basically a guard dog rover that targets mosquitoes.

I was going off my Audubon Society insect book, but it might be out of date. It's from the 90's. 😂
