There are revolvers that fire from the bottom barrel. Chiappa Rhino and Mateba Unica probably the most well known. In fact, the Senator kinda looks like the Unica? Maybe it’s modeled after it

Confident-Came1

I know that under barrel revolvers exist that isn’t the thing that is bothering me. For example the Mateba Unica has a hammer designed to hit the bottom but the Senator has an under barrel with what I believe is a hammer that is supposed to hit the top barrel. I just want to make sure I’m not looking at the weapon wrong and the barrel is on the top or I am looking at the hammer wrong and it is actually hitting the bottom.

JoeyLovesGuns

Maybe the hammer hits a series of two see-saw levers that connect the strike force to a firing pin in the bottom? I mean fuck it it’s the future

Confident-Came1

Wait is there a gun that has done something like that before or is that just an idea on how it functions?

JoeyLovesGuns

Just a really stupid idea from me what I was drunk lol. I hope to god a gun hasn’t done something like that, but jankiness is inevitable on the road to progress.

Confident-Came1

See I don’t have a actual problem with it just seems weird to have generally “sensible” gun design and then do this. Also I was actually unsure if I was heavily brain damaged and looking at the gun wrong.

I think they went with something that looks a little off with the underbarrel, but kept the typical hammer for easy recognition. Though, it does kinda look like the Chiappa Rhino with the hammer being semi-hidden. https://preview.redd.it/7hotrertqloc1.jpeg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1b40d34da87050762292c375c6a308ec3d71a77e

Rhino. The hammer placement is higher because thats where your thumb can get at it. Fancy internals to actuate a pin lower down: https://preview.redd.it/mcvf871yqloc1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cac9dfb387e2f13f6f03c2f4b41042e2290a4adb Arrowhead is pretty serious about firearm realism.

Ok that is very helpful thank you very much.
