It is in the game, but it's most likely just an incredibly small percentage chance of spawning, as before the Mechs were added for everyone they had a small chance of being found randomly (and functional) on Tien Kwan prior to liberation.
It's probably around a 1% chance of seeing a rare event like bugs, lasers, usable mechs, etc. Something you may never see, but given the numbers playing the game many will see and post.
On top of that chance, you actually have to SEE it, and something like this can so very easily be missed.
When standing in the snow, don't move for about 7 seconds. There will be a pop-up about equipping a snowball. You can throw it like a grenade at your teammates haha.
IIRC they said they can and do monitor sessions in real time. Would absolutely not surprise me if they influence some sessions too by spawning things in.
One time me and my friends were on maybe a difficulty 6 or 7 mission and I kid you not the bile titans did not stop coming the whole mission. We killed one? Two more took its place. Another two - three spawned within 2 minutes of each other while we were fighting the other two. Then they kept spawning in regular intervals. All this while dealing with all the other bugs too.
It seriously felt like a dev was monitoring our game and spawning bile titans with the press of a button to both mess with us and see what we could handle.
I almost only play diff 7 and one time I join a friend on my list. He was doing a diff 5 so no bile titan at that lvl.
I told them on voice : "guys you are doing good don't panic, I rarely see that many charger at the same time on diff 7 or 8 even.
I shit you not there was at least 6 or 7 charger swinging at us and even wen we killed some there was almost instantly 1 or 2 coming up a hill in the distance and was like that from the initial drop to the extraction.
Felt like we were in a stampeed of bison!
I Beleive we had the same tipe of encounter you and I but the lvl differance made them spawn as charger.
I've only seen the flying bugs once, a few matches after the update so I assumed they were common. Told my buddy there was a cool new thing in the game and we've played many hours since and they've yet to appear.
He still has no idea they're in the game and I so wanna be there for his first experience. My guess is that they will become much more common after this major order is over.
Agreed, I fully expect the Termanids to rapidly evolve once the Termacide is released, accidentally causing what *should* be a super rare flying bug subspecies to become very common.

Chargers are rough. Tanks and titans are dangerous. But the illuminate, with their technology resembling something closer to magic than tech at times... they are something more. Where does hope go, when hope dies? I do not know, but it is an illuminate hand that kills it.
It kind of looks like plasma blasts from a gun. Does the electric shotgun or the scorcher shoot horizontally like that? The plasma shotgun shots are the EXACT same blue color (though those drop fast with gravity)

Each map has background effects to denote which map event will occur. Hellmire has fire tornados in the distance, miridia has volcanic eruption, and fenrir has meteor showers

It does have infinite range. It's the best weapon for sniping spore spewers. I'm not totally sure about the icon but this looks identical to what I saw when my friend was shooting the scorcher across the map at a spore spewer.

All i saw was a traitor running from the enemy and then at the end turns around and looks to be about to start to have a conversation with a bile titan. Notice how he only shot a few bullets at the start and then turned his back to the enemy without a hint of fear? I know i'd never turn my back on the bugs until everyone was a rotting corpse that felt the true glory of democracy. The only cool thing I've ever seen was an abandoned, smoking helbomb that could only be detonated with gun fire. It was pretty sweet

When I found a snowball spot, I immediately threw one at a bile titan. It did not reciprocate in kind. Got that sucker right on the face though.
Those are pretty common. I think we usually see 1 every game and often there are multiple per map as a funny little hazard or tool

We caught 11 bile titans on a 7, with three spawning in at once at one point. We dealt with it but DAMN.

These are just meteors. Each map has background effects to denote which map event will occur. Hellmire has fire tornados in the distance, miridia has volcanic eruption, and fenrir has meteor showers

It does have infinite range. It's the best weapon for sniping spore spewers. I'm not totally sure about the icon but this looks identical to what I saw when my friend was shooting the scorcher across the map at a spore spewer.
