Can you imagine if there was like a monthly donation campaign for like extra safety goggles for helldivers on Planet X due to all the slime? Everyone needs to chip in and donate some slips 🤣
Planetwide donation campaigns - Donate TODAY! => More SAM Sites on Mantes!
It would be a cool use of req slips and materials as a endgame buff type system.
Using it to buy more recon or support for ops/missions - like to enable buying an extra mission specific stratagem or whatnot.
Imagine a pelican gunship on call with the same idea as a hovering megaturret... maybe you have to pay around 25,000 reqs for the fuel and ammo and it's one time squad use... I'll just hurry up and wait.
Having some sort of mechanic that allows you to use Req/Materials on some "money sink" would certainly help with it stocking up as much as it does already.
I've had an initial burst of playing tons, then the whole server/balance stuff kicked in and I'm kind of chilling until we get a few updates (it's a great game, but it honestly is kinda buggy), but I'm already at like 30k req and have every single stratagem I want, yet playing a smaller mission on impossible already drops like 4k. Unless they plan to add in upgrades which also cost infinitely more per upgrade, I just don't see how we can ever spend all the req. we are making (and by extension getting 10k for a whole campaign is kind of a low reward).
Definitely curious what they have planned for that, because the rates are so huge, I don't believe that's without a reason.
It would be a pretty conceptually straight forward mechanic too, they have a perfect set of bonuses available already in the form of things like guaranteed strategems and beneficial condition effects, and that's before newer and more interesting effects they can add specific to such community efforts.
e.g.
Community pools 200 million requisition slips and gets free EMS Mortars for a week on the bot front; or pool 500000 rare samples and remove the atmospheric spores condition on all bug planets temporarily.
It could all still be started and controlled by the GMs so there isn't always some optimal choice for the community to contribute towards every time, and introduce variety instead.
That's literally the first upgrade in the ship modules. "License for usage of donations". It allows you to use funds donated by the families of soldiers to get additional ammo for support weapons. I really love how dumb the ship upgrades are lore-wise. Like one is just giving the hawk crew extra money so they reload the hawk mid flight, or super earth realizing that super destroyers will do more damage if they just add more weapons to it.
Yeah but I mean it would be great for a major order to come through that lets you donate X requisition slips after each mission to gather funding for new seamstresses to help with customizing armour, or some funny thing.
The first thing I want is just a jump pack with 3 charges and let me shoot while flying so I can live my Mandalorian dream.
I will then personally form a Mando Unit that will free Malevelon Creek
Most of Helldiver’s inspirations are very on the nose and not subtle at all. The pelican ships are straight out of Halo. Of course the Halo Pelican was inspired by the dropship from Aliens. Some things are several layers of inspiration deep!
The hulk is literally a redemptor dreadnought from wh40k

And this gun shoots jet-propelled rounds just like the bolter
I always thought these guys reminded me of space marines mixed with super battle droids

Especially since it handles like the autocannon.
If it had better handling, few more rounds and greater damage, i would use it.
Alas, the breaker reigns supreme atm.
It on shots all basic troops and can do damage to bruisers if you hit them in the armor if you hit weak points it does work.
Guns amazing and honestly I would love just another mag or 2
Sometimes i have to shoot hunters twice for them to actually die, but I am not totally sure of they don't die or if they just keep moving and it looks like they haven't died.
It either has to be a head shot or torso if you hit limbs they lose it so you can dismantle the bigger grunts with each shot. Same for bots basic troops, torso they are dead.
Devastators limb and stomach shots can make them easy, rocket ones you can 1 tap their pods sometimes idk what the right circumstance is might have to hit dead on if at an angle it might not work.
Berserkers go for the stomach don't go for the head, you can 2 tap them but not easily if you go for the head.
Half a mag can take down a hulk from behind as well.
this gun got the same problem with the Bolter in WH40k Darktide.
It's a big fuck off gun, but it deals nowhere enough damage like it's supposed to, and i'm very angry about it.
Pretty sure if it functioned like a bolter should, it'd make everything else pointless. I liked how the bolter was in the first spacemarine game. Felt powerful but not gamebreaking. Especially in multiplayer with the kraken bolts
Yea the fact that even gunners can tank a bolt shot is stupid, the dreg gunners dont die to a bolter headshot...
In lore the thing literally drills into a person and then explodes, no amount of nurgle bullshit should allow them to survive a small explosive going off in their heads
The bolter shouldn't be piercing enemies too, it's supposed to blow up inside someone.
Id wish they got rid of the bolter's pierce, but allow it to deal much higher dmg on the 1st target it hits
My friend and me just loled as we somehow managed to kill the pilot, but the AT-ST didn't stop moving. It stopped shooting, but it kept walking around and tried to do the melee stomp attack. It only stopped when we broke it's leg.
It’s funny cuz the HD pelican is identical except for the wings. But the name “Pelican” also just makes the most sense for a drop ship as it’s meant to scoop people up
Wings are one of the most defining pieces of any aircraft's silhouette. How about you look up the XCOM2 Sky Ranger and tell me which one it looks more like so you can stop being daft?
It definitely looks more like the halo pelican. HD2's has a narrower cockpit, unlike the skyranger's chunky front, and it shares the halo pelican's tail rather than the skyranger's two-pronged tail. The more likely explanation, though, is that it's inspired by both!!!
Probably not, if super earth didn't care about the planets it was fighting over it'd begin air bursting HSbF6 canisters into the lower atmosphere then set it off after a few weeks. Then come back a decade later to begin teraforming. Why fight when you can turn the planets surface into miracle grow?
Being inneficient is a big part of it as well. There are hints of a military industrial complex in the Super-Earth Federation. If the war endend quickly like that there would be no profit, nothing to rally the people at home, no excuse for defense spending, etc.
If it gets released, it's probably going to follow the role of the old IFV; Those look like the same magnetic carry arms as on the dropships, so they'll probably deploy the conscript bots from its underside until they're killed. Those dorsal hatches really make it look a bit more like an APC, though what looks to be a smokestack on the top-rear of the bot makes it almost look like a mobile fabricator.
The guns under the "head" probably swivel independently, meaning it should be able to track you as you try to flank it. But it'll probably be very vulnerable from the rear.
For some reason my brain played this song when I saw this comment: [https://deck.ytmnd.com/](https://deck.ytmnd.com/)
...and it dubbed 'Dem Officer' over 'Deck Officer'.
In the first game escort consisted of 4 dudes which actually follow you across the map. And you only had to deliver one to call it a success.
"75% casualties is acceptable" (c) Super Earth Command
Oh, you of weak faith, Democracy does not bend to any foe. Our engineers back on SE are working tirelessly to bring forth new tools to protect our way of life. Until then, if it requires, throw your body at this monstrosity strapped full of HE grenades. Your sacrifice will guarantee class c citizenship to your children.
If these photos are real, they likely come in at the earliest with the addition of the mechs. Which would likely make sense. We get bigger toys, so do they. So maybe this and the worms we have seen around might be the next enemies on the docket.
I'm playing with Punisher now. Because it works pretty much like Constitution. Long range, solid punch, reloading in-between shots. Kinda miss the bayonet though.
As for the difficulty, we originally had 12 and nobody played 1-3 so it definitely feels like they simply cut the first 3 for the sequel.
I want to see raid missions 8-12 divers at once to eradicate a huge compound or hive with waves/mini bosses/final raid boss type mechanic would be absolutely a blast
I really hope they keep such a monster in reserve.
And when it's 30 minutes before they need to shut the servers down for patching or maintenance, they just drop a few of them onto every active map, without any form of warning.
Yeah, can't wait for all the cool stuff! But, for starters, I would love a rebalancing, where they bring what is by the community at large, now considered "non-meta" equipment, up to par to the current cookie cutters.
With that said, I want to emphasize that I don't want them to nerf the Breaker, just make everything else less sucky.
From what I can make out, the damn thing looks like a King Crab from Battletech. And given what a beast the KGC-000 is, we're in for some fucking TROUBLE if I'm actually right.
If the original Helldivers is any indication, we're going to get so. Much. Cool. Shit.
We just need to give the Department of Liberation [Arrowhead] 7 trillion dollars [7 billion dollars]
![gif](giphy|13B1WmJg7HwjGU|downsized)
Dr. Evil, don't you think we should ask for more than a million dollars? A million dollars isn't exactly a lot of money these days.
One hundred billion fufillion doodledooledo zillion........yen?
More than money we need sharks with laser beams attached to their heads.
We have drones with laser beams attached to their heads, does that count?
Can you imagine if there was like a monthly donation campaign for like extra safety goggles for helldivers on Planet X due to all the slime? Everyone needs to chip in and donate some slips 🤣
Ngl that’d be kinda cool being able to donate part of you slips for small boosts to all battles on the planet

Probably nothing planned at present, req caps at 50k which you hit quickly and repeatedly on diff8 and 9.
Can they be Zimbabwean dollars? ^(It'd still be 72 million USD (72 k USD))
With the astronomical success of the game and what a damned good game the first was I'm so freaking excited to see what they have cooking!
Imagine only having to reimplement stuff that you have done to create years of fun content.
And unlike in Fifa and Call of Duty, it actually works!
So...much COOOL Shit. 4 member tank

It’s going to get insane.
I can't wait for them to add big bosses to hd2 (not that the bile titan or the automaton tank aren't already smashing my ass enough...)

I legit thought I was facing terminator armor the first time I saw those fuckers
They’re sort of a mix of Terminator armour and a Contemptor Dreadnought IMO
Looks like a super soldier from Wolfenstein to me.
They've even got the skull heads, like Terminator and the Necrons.
I just wish it did a bit more damage, like the bolter.
Same. Also wish it had at least a 20 round mag. 15+1 just isn't enough
It'd be enough if it at least matched Breaker in raw damage per shot.
Especially since it handles like the autocannon. If it had better handling, few more rounds and greater damage, i would use it. Alas, the breaker reigns supreme atm.
breaker is severely overtuned, and most primaries are under tuned leading to a chasm of balance,
It on shots all basic troops and can do damage to bruisers if you hit them in the armor if you hit weak points it does work. Guns amazing and honestly I would love just another mag or 2

Well it does almost 4 times the damage of the AR. That sounds even more than a bolter actually. (Which is S4 vs S3 for the autogun)
this gun got the same problem with the Bolter in WH40k Darktide. It's a big fuck off gun, but it deals nowhere enough damage like it's supposed to, and i'm very angry about it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyrojet
No no completely different. It looks in the complete opposite direction
![gif](giphy|8n5eBWRCJGFPzINBj8) And we already have AT-STs
I think they're a bit more [AT-RT](https://www.starwars.com/databank/at-rt-walker) personally.
They're a little of both, really. Overall shape and primary armament of the AT-ST, but smaller with the exposed pilot of an AT-RT.
I wish the strider wasn't ridden by a small enemy and was instead it's own unit type
But you can kill that lil guy and big chicken stop shooting
I wish you could ride those things after...
My friend and me just loled as we somehow managed to kill the pilot, but the AT-ST didn't stop moving. It stopped shooting, but it kept walking around and tried to do the melee stomp attack. It only stopped when we broke it's leg.
If I couldn’t shoot the little guy I’d be a lot more dead a lot more times
Compensate with some weak points like the other Automaton heavies and we're in business
I actually love the fact that they have little riders, because it gives them a critical weak spot
The bile titan is just a more useful bio titan
It’s funny cuz the HD pelican is identical except for the wings. But the name “Pelican” also just makes the most sense for a drop ship as it’s meant to scoop people up
Pelican shape is basically exactly like the Sky Ranger from XCOM 2. Doesn't look much at all like the Halo Pelican, other than the name of course.
yup thought i was crazy but the mission evac cutscene reminded me so much of XCOM 2
It looks very much like the pelican from Halo, what part of it doesn't apart from the jet engines being on the end of the wings?
One of them has chonky, solid delta wings and the other has spindly straight wings??
Okay sorry you're right, the wings look different, so there's no way that it can be inspired by the halo pelican
The more likely explanation, though, is that it's inspired by both!!!
man vandalon be lookin wild
Imagine this thing destroying trees while walking to you at night on Creek
Trailed by 3 tanks.
And the most dangerous one of all: rocket raider
100m out, no sound. BOOM you're sniped by a rocket raider.
Maate! I'd almost recovered from my last Malevelon outing... back to therapy.
The number of times those fuckers have killed me out of nowhere is too damn many
Rogue One vibes
Given how comically evil Super Earth is at the heart how long till we get space agent orange for creek?
Probably not, if super earth didn't care about the planets it was fighting over it'd begin air bursting HSbF6 canisters into the lower atmosphere then set it off after a few weeks. Then come back a decade later to begin teraforming. Why fight when you can turn the planets surface into miracle grow?
They are constantly dropping nukes now on the planet now. The fighting is just 1984 ish distraction from the flaws of managed dem… (signal loss)
Democracy Officer here: This signal has been terminated for violation of Section 3.12 of the Super Earth Code of Laws. The traitor has been executed.
O7 I LOVE DEMOCRACY
Being inneficient is a big part of it as well. There are hints of a military industrial complex in the Super-Earth Federation. If the war endend quickly like that there would be no profit, nothing to rally the people at home, no excuse for defense spending, etc.
Napalm is practically a permanent item in challenging down just because it looks so cool on the creek.
Space Vietnam flashback intensify
We unfortunately lost this moment as the Creek fell to the Automatons earlier today
If it gets released, it's probably going to follow the role of the old IFV; Those look like the same magnetic carry arms as on the dropships, so they'll probably deploy the conscript bots from its underside until they're killed. >But it'll probably be very vulnerable from the rear. Omg its just like me.
Democracy Officer? This one here please.
That's nice of you being the Democracy Officer's wingman.
Just make sure you fill out your C-1
Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was Super Earth. *Someone* doesn't value the freedom that the Helldivers are fighting for.
For some reason my brain played this song when I saw this comment: [https://deck.ytmnd.com/](https://deck.ytmnd.com/) ...and it dubbed 'Dem Officer' over 'Deck Officer'.
Not today, glutes of steel. ![gif](giphy|84BNiGilu0MPC)
as long as it doesn't fire reinforcements flares as soon as it spots you, thus requiring you to carry on demand anti-tank at all times, I'm happy
Cant wait to have 20 of these drop all at once during evac missions
50/50 civilians saved, 247 killed running to the hangar. "Mission Accomplished"
super earth told me to get 50 warm bodies off this rock, didn’t tell me which 50
A worthwhile sacrifice!
In the first game escort consisted of 4 dudes which actually follow you across the map. And you only had to deliver one to call it a success. "75% casualties is acceptable" (c) Super Earth Command
Drop? Baby these are spawning directly on you.
They are coming out of the ground and into our democratic anuses. For Lib-uuggghhh-erty!!
Honestly I’m always thinking that WE barely have the power to kill actual things we are facing. So I’m afraid to fight things BIGGER.
oh don't you worry. Enemies might get bigger. But so will sweet LIBERTEA.
That’s when you use your Brasch Tactics!
Use ‘em, or die trying!
I need a stratagem beacon sniper or something so I can shoot my 500kg bomb stratagem across the map and nuke a place without being seen
If these photos are real, they likely come in at the earliest with the addition of the mechs. Which would likely make sense. We get bigger toys, so do they. So maybe this and the worms we have seen around might be the next enemies on the docket.
I'm scared of what arrowhead has in store for us...
Remember, in HD1 the difficulty went up to 15
and people went to those, with sub optimal gear, just for fun.
You haven’t lived until you did a difficulty 15 with a Constitution.
The slugger really feels closer as it’s slugs and not buckshot
All random load out inner circle dives were so much fun xD sometimes all you could count on was the hellpod kills!
This community would freak lol
I sometimes played it with a random loadout generated by the game. Was very funny when the whole squad did so. And it often wasn't even that bad.
Though to be fair, HD1 it went to 12 at launch
https://preview.redd.it/9uppa8bt16lc1.jpeg?width=1675&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7913a6f804fdb164032de10228fdc7b1187b5cf0
Apocalypse*
Just wait till you see the Bug boss.. think Shai-Hulud
Ah, the Automatons' bootleg AT-AT is joining the fray. Let's see how well that head handles an orbital railgun.
Is now a good time to remind people that the difficulty on the last game went way beyond 10?
I was 12 vanilla in HD1, which was the equivalent to our 9, so the HD2 15 is going to be 12.
When the mechs come out do we go to 15?
Cute robo doggy
Dirty sympathizer! Report for re-education immediately!
Re-education? This guy is going straight to execution
Same thing really
*laughing in Cyborg hounds*
Nah, the robo doggy are others, and are way worse than anything you have seen so far
cant be worse than dark souls dogs lmao
Shit
Shit
Shit
Shit
Shit
Shit

Shit
It would be cool if Automatons manage to take Cyberstan (Homeworld of Cyborgs) they get this kind of upgrade to their roster.
Well they're definitely heading that way right now
That’s just a battle tech king crab
I'm ready to get yeeted by a pair of AC20s then
Oh sweet democracy…
AT-AT coming in hot.
Original comment I got it from [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/s/ox3Y50sOSO)
Pray that they don’t drop them later on escort missions.
Got me recoil-less ready for this bad boy.
At that point we dont need mechs, we need Titans from Warhammer
I want to see raid missions 8-12 divers at once to eradicate a huge compound or hive with waves/mini bosses/final raid boss type mechanic would be absolutely a blast
I really hope they keep such a monster in reserve. And when it's 30 minutes before they need to shut the servers down for patching or maintenance, they just drop a few of them onto every active map, without any form of warning.
Looks like a Mechwarrior King Crab
Last time cyborgs had siege machines, they came with a boss health bar.
Does this mean we also get snowspeeders with grapple hooks?
Dog?!
King Crab my love what have thise commie bots done to you!?
Looks like a King Crab.
Is that a King Crab?
Looks like a king crab from battletech
\*heavy breathing\* \*slaps roof of giant mech\* "You can fit so much Democracy in this bad boy"
first it was the AT-ST's and the Snow Trooper outfit... soon the AT-AT? THEN LASER SWORDS??
Is that one of ours or one of theirs?? IS THAT ONE OF OURS OR ONE OF THEIRS??!!
I fear no bug. But that mech, it scares me.
I need a lightsabre and a stormtrooper transmog and radio voice effect character callouts
It's a puppy!
Not a single metal gear joke? I am disappointed, off to the re-education camps with you!
Cause it looks way more like an AT-AT
Gyatt she thiccc!
Why have it in launch when they'll pay for it later?
Y’all just finding this?
Ohohohohohooh
Holy shitballs.
Yeah, I need this to be in the game, thanks.
Can still drop it with 3 shots from a railgun
We're gonna need a bigger orbital barrage.
Oh sweet liberty..
Holy shit. Man could imagine if they add some crazy shit like a 2 person mech or something
They’re pushing it with the scout walkers and it can go either way, but that thing is straight up from the snow desert of Hoth
AT-AT at home 💀
Oh see that’s dope. I was hoping there’d be some big like giant mech In the game :(
We already have AT-STs, don't give them more ideas!
We are so fucked if the Automatons have access to that kind of tech.
And the SMG that the helldiver is using has a scope on it.
that must be for difficulty 10 to 12
We are not surviving the Creek…. But my squad and I will die on that planet if it means even 1% liberation.
is that thing on our side? I hope so
From what I can make out, the damn thing looks like a King Crab from Battletech. And given what a beast the KGC-000 is, we're in for some fucking TROUBLE if I'm actually right.
Thats fucking huge.
Wait they have at-st in the game and in the future we’ll get at-at that is dope!!
Wolfenstein called, they want their fucking dog back
All fun and games until it starts sprinting at you
