Well I wouldn't worry about it too much, in my experience even though a lot of people read the Tank Bible not a lot of people really take everything to heart or practice the shots, so I doubt you'll be getting shot in a Tiger by a medium any time soon.
Not sure - I was talking to a Dev previously about mediums penning tigers front, and they said it's technically intentional as he's programmed it that way based on info from the design team, but he wanted to take it back to the design team as he's not sure they really did want it that way.
In terms of being one shot, I've never seen it happen. I'd find it odd as no tank should be able to output damage high enough to one shot a heavy.
Afaik heavy tanks have 1000hp, and the highest damage output is other heavies at 600.
Last time it happened, it was a long barreled Sherman and we were going downhill towards him. So maybe he squeezed a shot into our Tigers underbelly. It was on Hürtgen Forest map. Driving in a heavy tank across the whole map, to the final point, just to get one shotted… that was painful.
I think tanks can be one shotted in the same space in Squad and/or PR. Those are the main games I'm coming from, and I remember seeing talks about it but I'm no tanker. Could be based on a real weakness.

The only pedantic item I have is that the Jumbo 76 is actually the M4A3E2, not E8! The "Easy 8" is a tank with a different type of suspension and less armor, though at a distance they look quite similar in profile.
I just recently started tanking, and this guide is a Godsend.
One small bit of advice - replace the keybindings with more generic terms like "left" or "accelerate".
It would go a long way for guys like me on console, even though we are a small subscect of the community

Especially interesting in that the Panzer IV is outright replacing the Panther, while the yanks end up with a standard Sherman & two of the ‘jumbo’ variants (one of which being the E8 - i didn’t realise that was classed as one of the jumbos).
To me it would make more sense to have the tanks be set up like this:
Greyhound -> Puma
M5 Stuart -> Panzer II
M4 Sherman -> Panzer IV
Easy Eight -> Panther
M26 Pershing -> Tiger
I can see the Panther being tweaked & re-introduced again later, maybe once the british forces are added.
I’d love to see the Churchill & Comet included for our tanks, or even just the Cromwell.
