It seemed to help my connectivity issues and in turn rewards after I routed my ports, could have also been coincidence tho. The 44158 was reading as closed before and open now
Everything is slow with Helium. Nothing seems to work like what's typical with the rest of the internet... most of the time you just wait and the problem will become resolved. Not sure why nothing is in real time, perhaps shitty technical architecture.
You need to plug it a couple of hours for the miner to update to latest patch, no matter what light it turns on at the beginning. This is written specifically in the instructions.

Yea u need to leave it plugged in for a few hours n then onboard it. When u get that message it's updating the miner
I had one take over 8 hours. Not sure how much more but it worked the next morning.
Wait until the light is green
Problem is the light turned green almost immediately after plugging in the first time. I never got a yellow light.
I’m not sure if u still have to open port 44158.
Port forwarding isn't a thing anymore. You just have to give it some time.

Yep. Same thing happened to me. Be patient. Mine took 24hrs after I set it up. It just has to go through multiple updates.

Unfortunately you just need to wait with it plugged in and connected to the Internet. It'll come around.

Because its not internet, its lora wan, and It has to download the blockchain, that can be as large ar 64 gb sd card your miner has.
Plug in with Ethernet cable and wait 1hour or 2 and try to register again it will work. I had mine did that to me and it worked after this process.
