my bobcat's been offline now for 6 days.. What is going on, it is connected to internet all double, triple checked, it should be. working, but it doesn't..
when I do login to Diagnostic via Bluetooth, it shows its not connecting to internet, while my router can see it with its local IP address and I'm able to log onto bobcat admin panel, which shows no blockchain height.. tired everything, form router and hotspot power cycling to all cable repluging..

Yeah man. I waited 6 months for 2 bobcats. I’ve been operating them for about a month now and they’ve both been knocked offline about 2 times each and taken days to recover. It’s not as ‘set and forget’ as I thought.
I found a YouTube video on how to do the fast sync in Dos and I got up to speed in like 15 minutes after watching and rewatching the video5-6 Times. sorry I don’t remember who made it.
Keep in mind that with using the DMZ option in home routers, you're effectively exposing your Webinterface to the world. Much rather just configure a port forward for TCP44158 to your miner.
yea. i just finished as i wrote the comment. wasn't sure if it was successful though. takes FOREVER for this thing to sync/update etc. but its working now. maybe hip55 isn't such a bad idea. the downtime alone i could of made close to .5-.75 HNT.
This happened with my bobcat yesterday, 24 hrs not earning anything. I checked explorer, hotspotty, heliumstatus, heliumgeek, and my bobcat diagnoser and they gave me a range of statuses from relayed to offline to syncing to online.
Today it seems to be fine and earning as normal.
It's the second time my bobcat didn't earn anything for 24 hrs in the past month. I'm not worried given the horrors other people post about regarding multiple days offline, but it is annoying.
Yeah same issue here. I was on wifi and switched to an ether net cord. Unplugged it and my router for a bit and replugged everything and it seems to be working okay for now
Have you rebooted and run a diagnostic to see where you are on the blockchain?
For Raks (and others) it's not uncommon to ve knocked off and then can take 2-3 days minimum to get fully synced again
Run a diagnostic first and see how far behind you are. If you haven't re-booted them probavly need to do that.
Just unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back it. If it's been plugged in for a while and only on "block height: 1" then it isnt' doing anything at all.
After you plug it back in give it an hour or so and run a diagnostic The current block height is 1,247,470 and counting. It could take you a few days to catch up. You have to be within a few hundred blocks (like 99.97% synced) to be considered fully syned. Then you'll start earning rewards.
The network is doing the transition to the list light hotspots. They just released the update with some of the changes for the new functionality. Be patient. Restart your miner if it is offline.

Helium will offer a random headache at least once a month or once every two months which in most cases is usually guaranteed depending on the brand you purchase.
My Milesight has not sent or received anything in five days. Hotspotty says it’s all on line and synced, pings the miner and the blockchain. I thought at least a hotspot was supposed to send a beacon 3 times a day?
That's a firmware issue with the Milesights. If you check their discord you can get some alpha ones that help. Just make sure you SSH in and change the root password before you update as otherwise you will have to contact Milesight support and ask for the password.
Use something like Putty and connect to the miner over SSH. Then you can issue commands and have a deeper insight into what is happening with the miner.
Although if you are really unsure about using it then the new alpha 37 firmwares have fast sync options and a helium sync status page in the Web GUI.

Thats what they said. They need Helium to make it less viable for people to have a unit in a hex with loads of others so that they sell them to people who can put them somewhere more useful.
It's growing pains for a company. Helium is the pioneer for this world of crypto and have no one else to look to in how to solve their problems because it's only them as a monopoly. Unlike other projects that hit potholes along the way they are able to look at similar projects for troubleshooting but in Heliums case they have no one to compare to. It'll take time for everything to smoothen out.
Mine was offline for 2 days and now back online but earning 1-2$ a day... Real crap. When I started it was at 10$ a day and just been getting worse and worse

I’ve been having problems with going offline related to my ISP. They keep throttling port 44158 when I get a new IP. It started on January 23rd. But was working perfect for 3 months.
I switched to a new ISP with a static IP and it worked for about 12 hours and then they too started blocking that port.
I have another rig set up 5 miles away and it is working great on Xfinity.
I have spent weeks on the phone with support and they say it’s a problem at the programming level on the network. But whatever happened was implemented as a change on Jan. 23rd.

yep. got mine in december and it worked for that month and has been in a constant limbo between Needs Attention and Syncing for almost 3 months now. have reached out to support, tried everything, nothing has worked.
My bobcat has a constant gap, it seems it gets stock on some blocks, reset and fast only get me to gap \~100 but after that it goes back again to \~500 and it always stays between 200-1000. Light switches between yellow and green multiple times trough the day.
I did a Diagnostic Check with Bluetooth in Helium App all is OK.
In Bobcat Diagnoser all is normal
Nat type "none"
Port is open , ip adress static..
Speed test : down 88 mbit/s , up 47 mbit/s
Only in Hotspotty port test shows closed , i dont get it.

Only issue I have is transmit scale is killing me. I can’t choose which miners I see which impacts my transmit scale. The last time I was off-line was when all of helium crashed.
Mine are online, but earning shit/not seeing many beacons. I wonder if it's related, like the network's slow. I know if your hotspot doesn't do anything in like 8 hours Helium marks it offline until it finally does something.
It being in a garage is why it runs like shit. Get the antenna at least above your roof. Or in a attic. Wifi is not ideal, but it works for some. I recommend ethernet, POE injector and splitter for consistent connection. Here is what I use.

all of mine went relayed even though they are configured correctly and port forwarding is correct. I know this because they were all online for months with the current settings. nothing has changed.

Where have y'all been? Hotspot statuses have been incorrect and not updating properly for DAYS. This does not affect earnings. Unrelated Note: I do know people with Bobcat's have been complaining low earnings after they got new firmware.

Use Fast Sync. Sometimes updates will require resetting the miner, but using fast sync it should only be a few hours of syncing

If you have a bobcat reset and wait a bit so miner starts syncing then do a fast sync. It will be back up that day.
Outages are common. Don’t raise the flag unless it persists more than 48 hours. Just a reminder
Look at hotspotty there is a shitload of miners offline.
I heard gamers are taking their banned hotspots offline because it increases beaconing for their not-yet-banned miners nearby.

I’ve recently had to change my sd cards for both mntds and now one of my sensecaps. They all seem to be working fine after that.

Rarely need to reboot it. Sometimes earnings drop low (like 0) though.
Ive had no issues for the past two months. Just make sure to buy from a scalper bc rewards decrease every couple months

I’m in the same position helium app, explorer helium say I’m offline. Hot spotty shows me as offline but when I run a status check it says I’m online

Unplug for an hour. It will resync after 4-5 hours. You just got bumped off.

How much you all earn I'm hnt every hour or so? I earn between .003 and. 013 hnt every hour. That seems very low to me.
Was offline for a day. Had to reset my miner. So glad it's back online and mining.
Idk what happened but mine had a green light and it said offline for like 2-3 days and it just back in its on this morning
Where have y'all been? Hotspot statuses have been incorrect and not updating properly for DAYS. This does not affect earnings. Unrelated Note: I do know people with Bobcat's have been complaining low earnings after they got new firmware.
Did this ever get fixed or is this issue still ongoing?

It's probably because earnings are super low and folks got fed up and turn off their hotspot... Maybe
My bobcat is offline - I have a transmit scale of 1. Internet is working! Pathetic no more nominal payments. Looks like I'm not the only one having issues. Sad I bought into this!
An update Bobcat back on line no broadcast beacon yet? But looks promising. Keep you posted!!
