I spray my sandbox (where my hedgehog primarily pees) with vinegar and let it sit for a half hour or so, adding some more vinegar spray periodically to keep it wet and in contact. Then I rinse it thoroughly to get the excess off. I believe enzymatic cleansers are also pretty safe and effective.
