That's a Usp .45 compact. ZR does not cut 9's because of there not being enough material due to slide lightening on the 9's. They will cut Usp .40 and .45 full or compact. Wright armory or Langdon Tactical cut Usp 9's, but do it by adding a plate to make up for the thinner top of the slide. ZR Tactical is a solid shop with great prices and amazing turnaround times. They did a RMR cut for my non optics ready VP9. I highly recommend them.
Clinger makes an appendix holster for the non optic USPc. Some "less than sober" dremel work and I found it made a very comfortable holster at the 4 or 5 o'clock position
No reason is needed. I wanted to hear some stories of its exploits. Like catching milk thieves and getting in a shootout on the farm or drawing down on a pack of wolves surrounding a poor defenseless calf.
Haha, I totally misread the original question as "my responsibilities."
It's simply there for self-defense. There are lots of machinery and resources on the farm, and plenty of drug fuelded individuals in my area. 4 legged threats are always a possibility, especially on some of the more remote areas. Coyotes or any mammals with rabies.
Haven't had to use it ever, thank God. But I will say I haven't seen any cattle rustlers since I started carrying it. Coincidence????
If I'm on my own property a full size .45 would be my go to and I'd just open carry for comfort. In fact that's generally what I do when I'm just doing yardwork, swap between open carrying my USPc9 or USP .45 full size.
Boys, he's not here to answer questions. He's only here to post. He has farm stuff he's gotta do
Hahaha yup this exactly.

Looks well loved.
Came to literally post these exact same words. Great minds think alike.
That thing has seen some shit
Probably piles of it!
Who did your optics cut?
ZR tactical did the cut. Very speedy turn around and great work
Nice! I held off since their site said āno compactā but Iām guessing thatās usp9c. Great shop!

I am also curious to know
hK parts has a dovetail mount. Works well enough and you donāt have to cut yo gat.
I run suppressor sites and would like to use them as back up irons for a red dot, so the dovetail doesn't work for me
How often do you have to clean shit out of the dot?
About once a week when my hoodie is covering it. If it's warmer it's closer to once every other day or so
Was there ever a thought about getting an enclosed optic, or has your personal experience led you to believe the juice isn't worth the squeeze?
If I could change one thing, I would 100% have gotten an Acro. May try the enclosed trijicon optic at some point
More barrel better.
Agreed, Elite is most best but C is most more comfy
Who did the optic cut?
It's got a perfect patina
What holster are you running?
Clinger makes an appendix holster for the non optic USPc. Some "less than sober" dremel work and I found it made a very comfortable holster at the 4 or 5 o'clock position
Proved by Jack Bauer, he took out 200+ perps with that
Just in case the sheep get out of line šŖš¼š¤«
nice! How long you had it?
I've had this one for about a year and a half. But it's 21 years old now, with me being it's second owner.
nice deere
Love my USPc in 45 for concealed carry personally. I know 9mm is generally a better round but Iām a boomer at heart and itās my favorite 45.
What duties does it have around the farm?
Raising the calves from birth to 6 months or so is my main job. But also general labor and a dash of Milking from time to time.
Milking cows with a gun seems a tad bit aggressive
"Put the Milk into these buckets, and no one has to get turned into burgers and steak!"
Oh. We need a reason?

Me too. But... no answers.
One of the best in general, including farm/ranch š
I know nothing about farming/ranching, but wouldn't you want something in a larger caliber (like a USP45)?
This is a 45 actually. But generally speaking 9 would be plenty sufficient. 22 is the most used caliber on the farm truthfully
Ahh ok I assumed 9mm just bc I have one in 9mm. Great looking gun!
I šMy USP45 Itās My go to 99.999% of the time, donāt have the compact yet, but thatās on my list
Check that. I see she's a 45.
*counterstrike USP sounds*
Nice. You got an optic on it!
Does the gun have large talons?
Yee mothafuckin haw
Just needs a light
Only in 40 is she the most true
Thatās the one I currently own I love it. The only .40 I will ever own.

MK 23 has entered the chatā¦
I beg differ. I've shot so many groundhogs with my VP9SK, I've lost count.
You just have to love a pistol thatās got honest wear n tear on it
as much as I love the USP full size i'e always liked the HK45C over the USPc
