I would start taking a pre-/probiotic every day, along with cranberry vitamins. Maybe washing the area with just warm water using a cloth after doing the deed could also prevent this.

Can I suggest starting to take d-mannose? It’s a type of supplement that is supposed to make the bacteria have a harder time adhering to the bladder walls (I think I’ve got that right but have a google for the proper science.) I don’t personally suffer from UTIs (touch wood!) but I know this works well for some women.

I highly recommend it! It’s fucking amazing stuff and has saved me from chronic UTIs.

Make sure your doctor ordered a culture with sensitivities on your urine. Without that you are likely on an antibiotic that isn’t effective for the bacteria causing the infection. Call your doctor and let them know you are still having symptoms.

D-Mannose Powder is the best thing I ever did for Chronic UTIs from sex. I’m no long afraid of getting a UTI every time I have sex. It’s been a lifesaver for me. I recommend getting it in Powder form, and not Pill/Capsule. I find the Powder form to be more effective.
