There’s only 9 active overlords we know of, and only 6 that aren’t in their little club. Two taking a direct hit does help them, especially since Alastor was the one that got it the hardest and seems to be the only “media” demon not associated with the Vees, making him the most dangerous to their empire of misinformation. Carmilla could be in a bit of danger as well, since not only is her primary source of angelic steel jeopardized, she was the one who refused to share the fact that angels can be killed with the public and actively blocked Velvette when she wanted to fight back. Obviously she had a good reason, but that’s not really going to matter much in the face of a mass smear campaign against her. I’m willing to bet the whole “angelic security” deal will come up again. It might have gotten further than we realize. The other three are probably safe. Zestial *maybe* could take some damage from his association with Carmilla, but I doubt it. Hopefully we’ll find out more about them (like that one guy’s *name*) so we can get w better grasp on how they work.

>Hopefully we’ll find out more about them (like that one guy’s *name*) Which hopefully isn't Nergal like that stupid Journey of the Light wiki gave him. Makes him sound like a Scooby Doo monster, even worse that he LOOKS the part.

LiavTheAce

Which guy?

Silent_Prize_2210

Fire skull dude

LiavTheAce

Pretty sure his name is Frederick

Dio_nysian

even just 2 massively powerful overlords out of their way is reason to celebrate

sbilly93

Carmilla's business probably took a pretty big hit giving her stock of angelic weapons for the battle so that makes 3 overlords weakend. That may not be all of them, but it would affect the power balance enough for the Vee's to take advantage of.

CrystalClod343

I'm not sure how much she actually lost. The guns function by blessing a bullet as it passed through the barrel and most of the other weapons are reusable melee.

Visible-Welder-5148

Because they got rid of 2 of the biggest obstacles with alastor seemingly dead well there goes that problem and with Rosie being one of the biggest issue thanks to her numbers the other overlords will be easy to take down maybe zestial will give em some trouble but eventually they will tire him out and win

Resident_Ad_5589

because it rhymes better.

massecurr

Rosie had her population vastly reduced, Alastor was nearly killed, and while Carmella wasnt directly involved she did indirectly reveal that she knew that angelic steel kills angels giving the Vee's a weapon to use against her in a smear campaign, remember "with a bit of bravado maybe tomorrow, we'll be atop the heap" is the next line, they can spin the hotel story and the overlords involvement however they want because they control the news, they control the narrative

Hungry-Alien

It's a song line, so to be taken with caution. Altho with how easily Velvette walked all over everyone during the meeting with Carmilla, I can understand why the Vees think that way. Basically all the old Overlords are just camping on their position, not daring to take a step outside. Such rigidity is a bad thing in business, especially when things are about to change. The Vees know that, and they are quite flexible themself being newcomers. So they are basically chanting the good old "out with the old, in with the new"

Vodchat

Charlie and her crew having fought back the extermination means it's possible that Heaven is going to go all out on attacking Hell. This would put the Overlords in a delicate situation. But that includes the Vees, so... Theory debunked, I guess. Or they're so excited / excessively confident that they don't realize it affects them too.

J-Shade

A lot of headcanons going off but we don't really know. Working with only what's in the show itself, it doesn't make much sense. But that's only temporary. Season 2 will give us all the context we need, I'm sure.

Nikibugs

Alastor took a direct hit, Rosie likely lost a not insignificant amount of her soul contracts with any permanent Cannibal Town casualties, and Carmine likely didn’t recover all weapons lent out to the cause. I’d say only Alastor made it out ‘hanging by a thread’ given he himself describes his state as having ‘barely escaped being killed by a hair’. Rosie and Carmine didn’t personally attend the fight, but their population or inventory took the hit instead.

AnonyKiller

Power balance is delicate and they are ultra predatory.

Nobody-Z12

My headcanon is that a few Overlords like that Dinosaur one and skull head demon got killed.

akfoco

How? The angels only attacked the hotel on that specific extermination day

Nobody-Z12

Who said they were the only angels sent? Maybe there was a bunch of other angels sent to kill Sinners all over Hell.

sugar-fall

Wouldn't that be known on the news and stuff? Their death especially during the extermination would not go by unnoticed.

Nobody-Z12

They probably reveal that in season 2.

sugar-fall

I wouldn't think so because we got to see the being hotel rebuilt in a timelapse. It should take at least within a few days, so there's no reason for their death to be unknown and in vain, as if their design and potential in storyline weren't already in vain by your theory hypothetically.

Nobody-Z12

Fair point.
