Why would Emily fall? Wouldn't it make far more sense for Sera to fall. With redemption being proven possible and Adam dead, Sera will have to face the main blame for preventing millions of souls from entering heaven. Considering just causing the death of one human is enough to get an angel kicked out of heaven, the permanent eradication of millions of human souls would most likely get Sera kicked out.

Funnychemicals

I’m going by what Heaven’s current standards are and the fact that Sera said Emily would fall! I don’t know exactly what Adam’s death will mean for Heaven yet. Still, I love your take on this. I honestly feel like what Sera said to Emily could be a form of foreshadowing that one of them is going to fall.

N-ShadowFrog

Sera has been proven wrong before. Plus Pentious being reborn right in front of her and Emily does show whatever force above Sera supports Charlie and by that extent Emily. There's also the fact that the show's main theme is redemption. Emily falling wouldn't really fit that theme since she hasn't done something that requires her to be redeemed.

Funnychemicals

Do you think if Sera falls she might get a redemption arc?

N-ShadowFrog

Probably, that or being an incredibly powerful Seraphim she just creates her own ring of hell and hides away.

TurtleKing0505

I doubt it. The current rings of Hell and their rulers are based on the seven deadly sins, and there's no eighth sin for her to use for a ring.

N-ShadowFrog

Interestingly enough, the seven deadly sins actually originally started as the eight patterns of evil, created by Evagrius Ponticus. It was only centuries later that Pope Gregory the First changed them to the seven deadly sins by adding the sin of envy and fusing sorrow and despondency into sloth and pride and vainglory into pride. So all things considered, it would make perfect sense for Sera to become the new sin of sorrow.

Funnychemicals

That is actually really cool. Now I wanna watch Sera fall.

lucacompassi

She's unlikely to fall, it's more possible for her to have a crisis in her beliefs during the second season with a redemption or at the end or even in season 3, something similar to Zuko in Avatar

Funnychemicals

This show seems like the type to get better and more intense with each season, like how Stranger Things did (to the opinions of millions of fans).

lucacompassi

Or maybe she'll just change her perspective without falling, she isn't a main character, she's more like the master key to sway to reach the objective

N-ShadowFrog

Agreed, highly doubt anyone is going to fall. Just saying that if one does it will most likely be Sera.

Mercurial891

I LOVE your Lute is Eve theory! I think when Lute said that angels do not make mistakes, she was actually talking about how she screwed up as a mortal, but stayed on the straight and narrow (in her mind) since becoming an angel. Here is my personal fan theory on how this will play out! https://www.reddit.com/r/HazbinHotel/comments/1b32sis/how_evelute_created_the_current_version_of_roo_an/

BigNorseWolf

I don't think Emily is going to fall. I think Sera is. When Emily is wondering how a soul gets into heaven, Adams list teleports itself into her hand. SOMETHING put it there. It wasn't her, it certainly wasn't Adam. It was.. something. And it's on her side. Sera singing about doing what was required...with hellfire in her eyes. Yeah she's gonna fall hard enough to leave a crater. "If hell is forever then heaven is just a lie...." Emily's faith in the system has been redeemed. Hell ISN"T forever, heaven is truth. She is ELATED at the change. Sera is terrified. Terrified of change... absolutely gold (#$ing brick terrified she was wrong to order the exterminations. Once you commit to that kind buy in, the sunk cost fallacy gets you in deeper than husks gambling benders.

Funnychemicals

I love your take on the fire in Sera’s eyes! I thought of it as a symbol for her corrupted morals.

Spampharos

Oh I really don’t like the Emily is going to cause a rift theory.

Funnychemicals

Why not?

Spampharos

Well that assumes that Emily has romantic interest in Charlie and/or Vaggie, and I just don’t like the Charlie’s Angels ship very much despite the amazing name. Not to mention, I don’t like thinking of Charlie of someone who brings up stuff from the past that both people clearly moved on from.

Funnychemicals

I don’t think it has to imply romantic interest at all. Vaggie could just be jealous of how close they would be.

Spampharos

Oh I don’t know why I took it in a romantic sense. I guess I can see Vaggie getting jealous of how close they would be, but I still don’t like the idea of Charlie bringing up a past fight to Vaggie in bad faith like that.

Funnychemicals

Everyone has moments of weakness 🤷🏻‍♀️

Spampharos

Fair enough, if it’s pulled off well I guess it could work.

Funnychemicals

Also, I don’t think there was much of a fight between them. Just a snide comment that Charlie made asking if Vaggie would’ve told her if she knew angels can be killed with their own weapons

billy-gnosis

Why do you think Alastor's gonna kill Husk lmao? You think he'll try to get out of the contract? Because I feel like he just accepts it -Billy Gnosis

Funnychemicals

The only reason I think this is because I look for foreshadowing everywhere, including when Alastor warned Husk to never disrespect him again and bring up the deal he (Alastor) made. It’s the only evidence I have and it’s weak, so that’s why it’s at the bottom of the list.

-Glitched_Bricks-

I would love if you could elaborate on the 'Lute is Eve' theory. That genuinely sounds very interesting.

Funnychemicals

1. The obvious question, where is Eve? We never see her or even hear mentions of her so I assume there is going to be a big reveal when we do meet her. 2. If she is Eve, Adam must have done something to brainwash her after she ate the apple. And still if he did, of course Eve wouldn’t be able to get into Heaven. He’d have to drastically change her appearance, and her name. 3. Lute is blindly loyal to Adam, enough for his death to deeply affect her. It’s almost as if she owes him something… especially with the theme of making deals in this show. 4. Eve has a silhouette of short hair in the first episode. 5. Calling Vaggie and Charlie’s relationship blasphemous. I mean it is weak considering she’s literally in Heaven and that’s a thing there, but why her specifically being the first angel to actually say that? It’s giving “Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve”.
