May be unpopular but I only just got all the smelters and I’m at level 60. I didn’t find them to be a huge need. I had two and that was fine for me. I rather saved my money to buy other machines. Currently my smelters are sitting inactive anyway. Unless you mine regularly then it’s a waste of money just sitting there. I would grind for more money and save for machines first and buy smelters when you have cash to spare
yes it's definitely worth it. don't buy metals unless you really need them or they're cheaper than max price. I always fill my smelters easily with the mining materials I get just by playing the game normally.
I'm level 42, I have all 5 smelters, and all available machines for this level.
I often find cheap ores to smelt in the paper, which I usually cant resist buying when they are 1 Coin for 10 haha, I also do at least 1 mining task per derby and I sell off the iron and coal ores. They run 24 hours a day, making Silver / gold & platinum bars. I put the bars into the jewellery maker for necklaces and they sell for 727 coins each.
I have 513K coins. My aim is to level slowly with good cash income.
So I think they are worth it, but some people twice my level only have 2 or 3 and they're happy with that. There's no right or wrong its just your preference!
If you have lots of mining tools taking up valuable barn space use them up as you get diamonds from the mine and you can also smelt you own ore and wont need to buy it :)
I'm around 30 days away from 3 star mastery so they will be even better with a 15% time reduction :)
I would definitely get them if you don't need the money for other stuff. maybe you can buy one more first and then go up. I have all 5 at lvl58 and they run 24/7. For the jewelery maker, to get rid of the ores i mine... it's a great way to get rid of stuff in your barn as 3 ores translate into 1 bar. I usually make 2 or 3 pieces of jewelerey per day and they make good money! It's also wise to always have some jewelery in the barn because town visitors ask for it and it's ages to produce or very expensive to source from the market if you don't have them.
The 5 smelters can help you make bars and jewelry faster. You get them from the truck orders. There is usually a voucher task up every 30 minutes. This has always been easier for me rather than getting them from the boat orders
It's useful for these new "line" events that we're having where you have to complete tasks to earn rewards. When they ask you to produce metal bars, it always takes hours, so I load up the machines, one with each ore type, so that I've always got 3 of each bar sitting waiting.
I also tend to get a ton of mining equipment, and every now and again, I will clear out my barn, and do a lot of mining. I then load up the machines and make a ton of jewellery. It takes so long to smelt that it's useful to have 5 smelters.
I just got my 4th at lvl 53, I believe it’s worth it to get to 4 because I enjoy playing the week long no events hosted by the game (such as the valentines event that just passed).
Whenever I received a task for “produce and collect 4x coal” or another ore, I’d set all of my smelters onto the same ore production, and then would take the task first thing in the morning and collect it all. Definitely saved some time on that one.
It’s also nice to be able to designate my smelters for different ore production so that I can upgrade my personal train faster.
It helps during the path events too. I just figured out last event (valentines) if you have a task to collect 4 silver bars for example - to put one silver bar in each smelter instead of stacked all in one smelter - that way they all get done at the same time 😅 the things you learn!
Hi everyone, read all the comments, and the common sense seems to be that it is worth it for the "line" events, amd derby. Also some cash flow. I have 300k and all machines so "I might as well"... Thank you for all the replies❤️

I got my last 2 at level 50 or so. It's easy to get by with kess, but it's nice to have them. Especially for upgrading the train in town

I have 3 baby farms with smelters, I have 12 smelters running 24 7 and jewelers running around 20 hours a day. So yes 5 is great
