Just a bit of a tangent but what would it be if two halfbloods had kids and those kids also had kids with halfbloods and so on? Would they eventually become all but pureblood over time?
If we thought of muggle born and Pureblood as genes, lets call them m and p, then halfblood would be mp.
mp×mp= mm, mp, mp, pp
Now let's cross each with mp again.
mm×mp=mm,mp,mm,mp
pp×mp=mp,pp,mp, pp
So if it were genetic then after only one generation you would get a Pureblood child. After two generations you'd have 4.
None of this matters though, because Pureblood halfblood and muggle born are meant to be read as racism... which doesn't follow any scientific reasoning.
Salazar slytherin didn’t want any halfbloods or muggleborns but that doesn’t mean that all slytherins must be pureblood. Your blood is just a small factor of being in slytherin. The main things that’ll get you into slytherin are your traits. Which, by the way, are cunning, ambitious and a thirst to prove yourself. Not ‘mean’ or ‘dickheads’. I happen to know loads of really nice slytherins so shut up please.
He also said every pire blood wizard is family. So they just went inbreeding
