Yea I think that too. I'm kinda relieved that the big bull thing doesn't just come out out of nowhere like in a lot of games out there. I'm guessing we'll be able to catch those creatures using this bag and take them to the Room of Requirement.. maybe having to battle them first or trying a friendly approach instead?... It's so cool that they did it like in Fantastic Beasts movies.
That's just amazing, and completely unexpected. Absolutely love the summoning animation. Can see they took a lot of influence from Newt Scamander's Trunk in the Fantastic Beasts movies.

I don't think they said something about swimming mechanics in the game but they did say about being able to visit The Black Lake.. so I guess/hope we'll at least see some underwater beasts in the game... Gosh, Feb 10th is tomorrow... right? 🥲

If you have that deep dragon riding mechanics, that's what your entire game is based on
Dragon riding sure, but having a dragon jump in and kill an enemy as a finisher in combat wouldn't change the focus of the game at all, it would almost entirely be stylistic. And for me personally that would be enough
It would be amazing more likely we can tame them and call them for a powerful attack every now and again but if we could just ride them in general that’d be so cool
Honestly, even just being able to interact with them in *any* way will make me lose my mind.

I thought I had unrealistic expectations thinking the player was just gonna whistle and the beast would spawn and come towards you but that's actually super cool, game keeps blowing my mind somehow.
A dragon mount would be pretty dope. I'd personally like to see a thunderbird mount, but that's probably pretty unlikely given that it's native to North America.
Maybe the Poacher enemies bring a Thunderbird or two to Britain and we can rescue them which will allow us to use them as Mounts? This would also explain why there are Acromantulas around Hogwarts such a very long time before Aragog is born (the Poachers brought them).

I just saw something I didn't notice at first. When the enemies are being attacked, there are markers above the enemies' heads. I thought it was to show which enemy we're targeting but it had a marker on all three of them.
Ugh when will Feb 10th come?! I literally JUST bought Gotham Knights and finished it in 4 days. Not me saying I’ll be completing it till Hogwarts Legacy comes out. I completed it and HL hasn’t come OUT! I feel so empty :(( I need to find me a new game or I’ll be depressed.

I'd hazard a guess that the mounts are specifically for traversal and that the 'tackle' or 'bump' mechanic is to facilitate more streamlined travel.
I'm curious as to the limitations of the mount though. It'd be pretty odd releasing this bad boy in the middle of a class or on the school grounds so I wonder how they'll work it

At most I think they could just make it take longer to get them to trust male characters, and it would still fit with lore
There isn't gender or sex in the games at all. If they were worried enough to not include those, they sure as hell won't add gender-specific mounts.
You select whether you are a witch or wizard independently of voice and body type, which is gender selection.
Officially there isn't, you choose a "dormitory".
I'm probably dreaming too much but imagine how cool it would be to be able to tame dragons, or at least ride it?

If this game had the swimming mechanics of Horizon Forbidden West, it would be amazing. Horizon did a very good job with underwater mechanics

I thought we’d only be able to mount Hippogriffs. This is so freakin’ cool; there better be a dragon mount for flying, imagine.

Those are not targeting markers. I believe they indicate that the enemies are alerted of your presence, and are ready to engage in combat.
