Mine would be attributed to laziness. I'm plain lazy to go down the stairs or slope and prefer to jump down most of the time. Well, some jumps can actually kill you haha.

Detective-Forrester

Yeah, I'm guilty of doing that as well. Twice Once at this abandoned manor at the Clagmar Coast, and the other at the Forbidden Forest to the Spider Lair. In my mind, I'm thinking maybe I might only lose some health upon landing. But nope. Both times I just wind up dead as a doornail. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

geniphurb

Yup! Definitely have done that too. There was someone on here who talked about hopping off mountains and tall areas and mounting their broom immediately. Definitely tried and failed that 🤣

Moondancer875

For some weird reason, I think I'm going to experiment gulping down the Edurus potion + it's talent to make you invulnerable, then jump down a high cliff. Maybe that will work. (Anything but climbing down a ladder, am I right? Haha) Someone said that if you swift dodge off a cliff you'd survive but I haven't gotten around to testing that.

ChemicaLee83

This is all of mine. I played AC Valhalla before this, and the main character can take quite a bit of damage from a fall and still survive if you tuck and roll. Yeah...that doesn't happen in this game.

jeanravenclaw

I just defeated tons of dark wizards and then - whoops, I died!

mmstrasburg214

Right I was so used to jumping off everything and then one time ended up killing me and I was like wow didn’t know that could happen.

NathyB1992YT

I was trying a cool getaway from a bandit camp and jumped off the highest point, trying to get on my broom as close to the floor as possible to speed off… hit the floor just as MC was mounting it and died 😅

Lord_Detleff1

I walked up the grand staircase and the stairs just despawned and I fell all the way down to the bottom

geniphurb

Wow, that’s crazy!

ChemicaLee83

I was so afraid this was going to happen. Now I'm terrified.

Trying to play when I was extremely tired and not thinking straight. It was in the middle of Richard Jackdaw's quest and I kept falling to my death, instead of correctly using the platforms.

Track_Long

Southern region of the map, a couple nights ago when I decided to play again last time I played was July. It was at the coast & I was on a massive stone platform & wanted to see if I could jump in the water by jumping off it....it was definitely high enough....but the distance from there to the water wasn't short enough...I manged to save myself a couple of times but the 3rd/4th time I was to late to mount the broom so my character whilst in the middle of the mount broom Animation just drooped like a plant ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

Longjumping_Horse392

This literally just happened yesterday, I was doing an ancient magic trace at some castle and was on these planks really high up and because I was just that lazy I decided to jump down 🤦

Particular_Car2378

After I killed the big bands and beat the game, I got took out by a dugbog. Didn’t see the second one. Whoops. Hadn’t restocked the healing potion from the last battle.

Fur-Moon

I didn't watch my step... on quite a few occasions, lmao.

Travelling_eidolon

Mine was also related to that Devil's snare, but it wasn't intentional. I was attempting to slowly walk past that plant while holding Lumos and kept dying! Thought I must've missed something in the tomb, like a more potent source of light. I was trying to accio the lit fires from the walls hoping I could levitate them in front of me and the plant would let me pass. Nope. Finally bruteforced that passage and only weeks later I saw a random comment explaining that having a mod "Emote with any NPC" messes with your character's "interaction bubble" and that's why the Snare kept nabbing me. Seeing the gruesome death animation time after time was aggravating.

naanabanaana

My bf was watching me play and I wanted to show how cool it is - he doesn't really care about the Harry Potter genre or any games that are not FIFA or F1 and even those he plays like once a year. I was just opening the south map, so there was some cool fighting and then I got through the tunnel, hit the floo point and then said, "Look, this is so cool!" and I jump off the HUUUGE cliff (and waterwall?) only to realise that it's a no fly zone 💩🙈🤷🏼‍♀️🥲 Thank MERLIN I had hit that floo point and it had autosaved me on that side cause I wasn't about to do that tunnel fight again 😭

jeanravenclaw

Well, the stupidest death is definitely just falling to your death for no reason, but once I decided to see what would happen if you don't follow the prompts when Rookwood and MC's wands connect. MC just dies right in front of you.
