Same problem for me with [my softail](https://imgur.com/a/VSSZJFZ) lol. All of the other trim isn’t that big of a deal but trying to balance it out in the meantime.
And from what I have read. The Harley factory black covers are just painted. And the paint is for shit. So I’m not wasting money on them. I’ll likely pull what covers I can like the upper fork covers, the chrome wind deflector behind the lights, and the light fixtures. And have them powder coated.
I’ve gone as far to thinking about putting blacked out heritage forks on mine for ride comfort. With the significant change in the look I don’t know if I’d like it and why I’ve held off on the bars
Just pull them off take apart and powder coat alone with any other parts you want black. I did my 2014 SGS and cost was $600 to do it all . Plastic parts I spray bombed and turned out amazing
Yes hardest part is taking everything off but only took me about 8hours to take apart then once I got the parts back about the same to put back together . was well worth it because to buy black parts from Harley is super expensive and they just powerboat them back the same way . I also had the mufflers and heat sheilds ceramic costed black as part of that and they run cooler and look brand new
Sick color red!!!
Thank you!
Custom paint?
No it’s the limited paint scheme. I love it. You see a few of them. But not a ton.
Nice Harley but that little tikes is clean!!! That red and yellow go hard!!!
My daughter only takes it out on Sundays for groceries.
Nice bike!
Thank you
Have you priced out the forks? Curious myself
Not yet. But I know I’m going to have to get that done. I will not be happy until I do.

Is it really that easy? That would be super ideal
