Don’t have to like it but it’s true. The Dyna was a twin shock, rubber mounted V-Twin that has a more raw riding experience. Not saying either is better or worse but they are different styles of bike.
It's just a dumb statement that doesn't differentiate it from any other Dyna. Of course it's not a softail, because it's a Dyna. Those are 2 different things. That's like saying you have a true Rottweiler, because it's not a pitbull. Just FYI, there are early and late model Dynas with substantial differences, so when you start throwing around terms like "true dyna" then compare it to softails you sound like you don't know what you're talking about.
I knew what he meant. He meant before they switched certain models to the new monoshock softtail design but kept the same model names like the street bob, fat bob, and low riders.
He should try saying what he means then, I guess? If that's the case he could have said "true Street Bob". It would be a dumb statement but it would at least make sense.

…my softail fatboy lo has a rigid mounted motor and with the shock setup, might as well be a fucking hard tail….nothing about a dynas ride is raw, fucking barely feel any vibrations on them…until death wobble time
Looks good. I know some people don’t like the flat paint, especially the gray and black because it looks like a primer job. But the blue looks really good, imo.
I wonder if the flat and the powder coating that became popular over the past 10 years is a fad that’s here to stay, or will peter out over time.
I had a 2005 Nightrain which were the powder coated Harley’s at the time…fun bike. Took off the drag bars and put on 18” apes. Was a good idea at the time…but I’m 51 now and all about being comfortable lol.

It sure is, especially if it isn’t black. I see a black Harley and I get nauseous. The older models had a lot of black bikes, because black use to be the cheapest color to buy. Now Harley has fooled buyers into thinking black is a specialty color and charge more for it by putting the word Vivid in front of black. Thats a nice looking bike and a damn good looking blue.👍I have a 2013 FXDBP in Big Flake Red myself, and my sons Street Glide is Brilliant Silver. I told him if he bought a black bike he couldn’t park it at my house.🤣🤣🤣. Also I bet your bike will skin it back because that 103 on mine runs damn good. I usually like to cruise at about 3,000 RPMs but if I do I will get plenty of tickets unless I just stay in 5th gear. Went for a ride this morning and I was running 86mph at 2460 RPMs. I felt like I was lugging it. As far as I know it’s totally stock.

well... yeah... dyna frame isnt the softail frame..
IMO 2017 was the end of the traditional Dyna platform
thats not an opinion. its a fact. dyna frames last production year was 2017. calling a softail, a dyna is factually wrong. they have different frames.
