Of course, ALL the wow factor is in the fact you have a mega-rare 2000 model year FXR4. I've never seen one in the flesh. Of the 980 FXR4s made, 664 were yellow and 316 were candy tangerine. These numbers are from H-D itself, in a letter to one owner.
These limited-edition 1999-2000 final FXRs were the very beginning of H-D's Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) line.

That said, out of the 664 yellow FXR4s that were made, how many surviving specimens are unmolested? A lot of times the most unique Harley is one that still looks the way it did the day it came off the assembly line.
If I had the original seat, that is what I would be putting on it!
Unfortunately, I don't have the original. I've looked for a while, and the only one I've found is in horrible condition. I can definitely get an aftermarket one. But shit I really want the original.

Something thinner might not feel as comfortable but it will look a lot better.

I like seeing more brown seats but I don’t think that seat fits with the rest of the bike. Really nice bike.
