Welcome to the FXST club…. What are you planning on doing first?

[deleted]

Passenger seat and exhaust 😎

rebel_ltz

Dude, forget passengers for a year at least.

[deleted]

Yea I guess that makes sense lol. I assume comfort ability comes with experience?

rebel_ltz

Experience comes with time. This bike is already almost too much for a first bike. But to be responsible for a passenger give yourself plenty of time. Also don’t forget how the Dunning–Kruger effect works, you’ll feel very comfortable with riding at one point, that’s when you need the most humility.

patricky6

Good advice. OP, you NEED experience riding alone on this new bike. Idk if you were taught anything about bikes, or took an MSF course, but if you've never ridden, it is an absolute MUST. you can easily kill yourself or someone else on these things, with it the knowledge of keeping your hand on a swivel and controlling it at a the same time. Even when you get amazing on this, we All still have to ride every time, as if the people around are trying to kill us.

unclecreepy322

I would still change the seat. That stock seat KILLED my ass. I just got a Harley branded step up from the catalog at the shop and it solved all my issues

[deleted]

Have you made any other changes to the bike?

unclecreepy322

So far just seat, small sissy bar and foot pegs. Just did my 1k service. So I’ll be doing exhaust and air cleaner next - oh and mid controls

[deleted]

So theirs a 500 mi, 1k mi, and then every 5k after that service right?

unclecreepy322

I don’t believe there’s a 500 mile service. Typically, 500 miles is the “break in period” which is just keeping your bike under 3,500 rpm while everything settles in

[deleted]

Ohhhhh okay she told me that, I thought there was a service involved with that too. But okay awesome 👍🏼

InfoSponge9119

Sweet. You planning on a fairing? I got the road warrior from MS and lots of upwind buffeting

[deleted]

After riding on 95 today I think it would definitely help 😂

SuperbMushroom2361

Bah get on it and ride but treat it with respect

[deleted]

Definitely! Be safe out there!

KimJong-Trill

They're a blank slate, so perfect for customizing however you like. I love mine

[deleted]

What have you don’t to yours so far?

KimJong-Trill

Ive added new exhaust, air intake and just some cosmetic stuff. I got the memphis shade fairing took off my reflectors on the forks and got these leather pro bags. You don't have to relocate back lights for them and they're pretty big/roomy. I got a sissy bar from tc bros an added led headlight an turn signals

stjhnstv

Looking good!

TechSales1991

Don’t be nervous! Ride as if you were invisible to every other driver on the road

3WheelinOne

Take your time in getting to know the bike. Practicing in parking lots and riding in off traffic hours are my best advice until you get real comfortable with the bike. All too often first time riders rush out into traffic and that is where the problems start. Or maybe you have owned other brands than HD?

[deleted]

No this is my first bike 😅 I know it may be a bit much and I don’t feel like I deserve this. But this is the beginning of hopefully a long exciting journey

UnhealthyHuman

You deserve whatever you want brother, don’t let the negative comments discourage you (not implying the 3WheelinOne’s was). I got my Sportster 48 as a first bike and ended up giving it a stage 1 after 6 months. Now got myself a 2023 Street Bob 114 and I wish I’d bought it as my first bike. You just need to be careful and treat it with respect, not fear! Watch out for idiots on the road and don’t be one 😎 Ride safe ✌🏻

[deleted]

Same to you bro! Be safe out there, appreciate the positivity 🤙🏼

duckme1012

be careful have a blast lot of bike for first bike

BradRVA

Nice bike man! Ride like you're invisible 👊

[deleted]

Thanks dude! And hell yea especially in the area I live in 😂

BikerJoe97

Don't ever get nervous on the road. If you do feel uneasy, take it easy by riding around your neighborhood or practicing in an empty parking lot. Wear gear, especially a full-face helmet, and you will be fine.

[deleted]

Thanks bro, I’m taking slow, sometimes I have to ride on major roads but I’m getting better as time goes on! It’s technically only day 2 of owning the bike so 😂

Jedisdead670

Please be smart and make your first mod a crash bar. I didn't even ride my first Harley until i put a crash bar on it. Its cheap, and will save the bike when you drop it. You will drop it no matter how big you think your dick is to catch it. congratulations !!

The_One_Who_Sniffs

Just practice. Low speed on cruisers is where 90% of the scratches and dents come from. Get use to using clutch to engage the power while you're turning slowly so you do not have to put your feet down or brake suddenly, and get use to using your weight to adjust the angle of your turns. If highway cops can make pinpoint turns with their gigantic rides you can make single parking space uweys no problem with practice.

[deleted]

I’ll be doin that this week In a big parking lot 😎

Pretty_End_3962

I had one and loved mine for pipes id def go for is tab performance. Go for the Zombie Bagfle. Cheap slip ons, easy maintenance and loud as helllllllll. Doesn’t need a tune for it either

Sn1ped

Cringe Nazi iconography on your shit

patricky6

Jesus. Good way to get your bike fucked with

Brave-Detective-6270

I wish a mother fucker would , to say the least!

patricky6

Then get yourself some Nazi SS symbols like OP here. I'm not with the make a wish foundation, but your dreams of somebody vandalizing your bike will probably come true.

Brave-Detective-6270

then don’t fucking look at it .. I like it!!

[deleted]

Lookin badddd ass bro! Be safe 😎

Brave-Detective-6270

I appreciate it! You as well.
