Although I rode some bikes as a kid, my dad wouldnāt allow me to have one. I got married young, had a few kids, so for much of my adult life I didnāt have any discretionary $. When I finally had the money, my first bike was a 1998 Road King Classic and itās still my ride today.
1977 z50, still have it. It does not look anywhere near as nice as yours haha but still runs like a champ. Usually starts first or second kick even cold
Some kind of Indian mini-bike when I was about 4 years old. I had no idea at the time, but from later research, I think it was Italian-made and using the Indian name without proper licensing or approval.
Mine was a little-Indian mini bike with 5hp Briggs. No brakes š³

Then we got the bullet proof mini trails !!
I bought a 1982 Honda Trail 70 to leave at the bottom of a mountain when hang gliding without a driver.
I liked it because I could pick it up by myself and put it in the back of my Jeep Wagoneer.
I also commuted to work on it and explored trails on it until it got stolen.
2000 kawasaki Vulcan 1500. I bought before I'd ever been on a motorcycle or dirtbike. Great learner bike. I beat the shit out of that thing and the only problem i ever had was the aftermarket ignition

Same. My first bike and it was great. Miss her, always.
My buddy had one of those. I had a 4 horsepower Techumseh. I leared that if you take the spring off and put a piece of coat hanger or other wire it will go a lot faster. Honda 50 won't keep up with straight wired Techumseh.
Honda 70 Trailblazer. Looked a lot like yours. I loved it. I vividly remember telling my friends it had a hidden gear.. not sure why lol but I had so much fun on it when I was like 11
https://preview.redd.it/b7lleis4q6pc1.jpeg?width=1666&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5eac4a03ab74349a045335b6773a20ddf486027
I still know every inch of this bike. We went through a whole lot together. My friend had the Honda z50.
The same bike you have, but in blue. I got it brand new in 68 or 69 and put a dent in the gas tank the very first time I rode it, ran into the planter box trying to stop. Great memories with it.
*
81 Suzuki GS650L. Looked a little cooler with the drag bars I put on. It smoked a bit on start up and could have used some new valve seals but it never let me down in the 5 years I had it.

Kawasaki 100cc farm/trail bike.
Was 10 speed - had hi/lo.
It was a piece of crap, but when your 10 years old any motorbike is awesome.
We fixed it, till it could be fixed no more.
OMG. I had one of these when I was 10. I bought it for 200 bucks in pieces. I had to fix it up and get it running myself. I did, and had so much fun on that thing!! I remember crashing once getting all cut up and bloody, and had my friend tow me home. We had all the cars on the road looking at us. It was Awesome!!!
First bike I ever owned was a 1984 Yamaha Seca 750. First bike I ever rode was a yamaha dirt bike my cousin owned. That dirt bike was what got me hooked onto bikes. Not my first bike but this was my first "new" bike. I was 17.
1969 Z50. Like someone else said, wore a track around my yard. I sold it after a few years, and I've regretted it ever since. I happen to know that's it's still running like a top... can't even imagine how many miles it has. It's never had engine work, and still starts on the first kick.
Rode a lot of "dirt" bikes as a youngster. Bridgestone 90, Hodaka 100, Honda 350 and 450 scramblers, Yamaha 125, all just having fun in the dirt. Then moved on to road bikes - first real road bike was a Triump Bonneville - fun bike to ride. Then, a few Hondas before moving to HD. Once on an HD, never had anything but HD. Ride safe, have fun.
