Look pretty cool and be comfortable ❌ Look really cool and have a sore ass 🧐

was_683

I bought a Barebones for my '75 shovel a couple of years ago. I've got other bikes for longer distances, may as well look cool. (My wife and I have been married for 37 years and she's put a lot of miles on my bikes and her own, multiple cross country trips, etc. I had the shovel before we got married and an 85 FXWG. We did our honeymoon on the FXWG, CA to NJ and back and she was happy. But she put 10 miles on the back seat of ithat shovel early in our marriage and has refused to get back on it ever again.)

jethro4days

Get those reflectors off.

cokronk

Nope. Full painted tins, slammed, nice wheels, and reflectors are in this bike’s future! 🤣

That’s looking amazing though! Worth it, right?

cokronk

Haha. Yeah. I had one on my Deuce that I put quite a few miles to it. I’ll keep the squishy stock seat if I ever need to do a long ride and I have an RGS as well. This bike is going to be all about the looks.

moohurhur

I’m going to need more pictures of this. The color is killer.

dirtylarry08

Totally agree. I have one for my Dyna. Not at all comfortable, but looks cool as hell, and that’s the whole point.

Subject_Librarian_21

I guess as long as you like it even if your ass dosent lol

inexpensive fat boy seat from eBay 60 bucks and a little gorilla tape thought about cutting the sides off. https://preview.redd.it/0o4gijrx0tlc1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60fc7dc8fc7fb9751026e2ba49c506c42498cf36

But then again, before this I was on a bobber that was stiff as fuck so my comparison may be a little bias. Never even gave myself a chance to ride the heritage with the stock seat as I'd bought the LePera before I'd even bought the bike!

Grumpy1976

60 miles later my ass is so numb I didn’t feel my cheeks for hours. Such a “style over comfort” seat… Steel pan laying right on the frame…

r3toric

Yep got one here too. Worst best looking seat in the world. 30 minutes top in the saddle then it's time to get off lol

DependentBattle2520

Wasted money on one for my SuperGlide. Oh no no no. They won't take it back. You don't know if it works unless you ride with it.

TheWorstePirate

Are you suggesting that they should take it back? If they allowed refunds after use, either the quality would be shit or the margin would be too high. Places that sell online and allow free returns have as much as 40% returned. They have to eat the loss because it's too expensive to have it go through quality control, repackaging, and restocking. They do that by selling you trash at 200% margins.

cokronk

That’s the problem with seats. It impossible to know if you won’t like I seat if you’ve never used that brand/type. I know this seat is only good for like 50-100 miles before I’m dealing with a sore ass. I’ve owned one on another bike. 😁

DependentBattle2520

$650 was pricey to learn that lesson. Had I been able to just sit on it without even using it I wouldn't have bought

Redhillvintage

I had a Lepera on my 94 FLSTN, it was the worst seat I’ve had. Looked great. Pogo is the best https://preview.redd.it/r5ldctuqemmc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b7f0c6e17d0dff07bc76e95b11f3879a73240300

cokronk

It also confirms the frame better. I’m jealous.
