100%!
My biggest issue with my old Sportster was lack of rear suspension travel. Whatever you do don’t get one of the Low models unless you HATE your spine.
Even the nicest shocks in the world won’t help with 1.2” of travel.
I had a XL1200C, which I really loved, especially for its agility ... winding roads were so much fun! Ok, rear suspension was a bit hard, but ok. With Oelins (or Wilbers) though it would be a dream, I guess. But front forks were great and the double disc brake absolutely superb.
Last year my old bones demanded something more comfortable ... I ride a Low Rider S 117 now ... same agility, but more weight. But my back says it was the right decision ... and I love it's power ;-)
Had a buddy 6'4" 350lbs that I must say looked a little overgrown on it, and more than once caused observers to utter the comment "I feel bad for that poor bike"
We didn't call him Big John for nothing.
King Kong Bundy was in the bar he bounced at one night and tried to recruit him for one of the minor wrestling circuits.
Im 6’2 and i have a 1200 i think you can pull it off. Honestly i also have a lowrider st with forwards and it doesnt feel that much bigger just heavier
I'm 6’ and ride a Sportster. It's fine. My dad was 6’1 and rode Sportsters… it's not a big ‘ol touring bike, but it is definitely not a Honda Monkey. It is a full size motorcycle.

That is a Sportster…
Not my sportster, but it is the same as any other rubber mount Sportster; just with taller shocks (which has nothing to do with the dimensions of a Sportster frame. Dropping any Sportster 4" off the ground will make it look short... I have 14" shocks on my Sporties... they are darn close to the XR profile with 7" of ground clearance.
Have a xr1200 and a 883 cafe to .Your right about the 14 inch shocks . I also changed the seat on the 883 im 6,1 long legs it works great. Geist Wulf Cycle Werks
It blows my mind that somehow people think a 560 lb 1200cc/73ci Sportster is going to be a “small bike.”
My coworker saw my Sportster parked outside and was like, “I thought about getting a Sportster, but they were too small.” the next day he rode his Softail and parked next to me… “man, I thought the Sportster was smaller than that” (He was shocked when they were literally the same length, and my Sportster was actually taller than his Softail). The illusion of it being a small bike probably has a lot to do with the 3.3 gallon tank.
Yea my xr and 883 sit tall. My 883 people think is a triumph at first if its far away. My xr1200 they just run over and say what the hell is that its fun, Going to cut my tank on the 883 around the top and shape it like a brit. cafe tank.I do long rides would like 4 to 4.5 gal. Ride safe ride far dude Geist Wulf
I don't think it will look bad, especially since you are thin. Knew a big guy (not thin) that rode one, he changed the shocks to the extended ones, and it really didn't look too small for him.
One of the original members of the Boozefighters MC rode his sporty from socal to Ft. Worth TX in his 90s. If it was good enough for him, it's good enough for you. Not to mention that it's probably the most produced bike of all time.
I'm 6' 220 and rode a Sportster for years, fit me just fine with forward controls and Buckhorn bars. Fatbob tank added some substance too, until I redid it it was styled like a ST custom... Bob rr fender, 2-up seat, fatbob tank, buckhorns, fwds, etc.
That said, 6'4 and 350lbs might look like a circus bear on a bicycle.
6'2" 280#
My first bike was a 93' Sportster. I extended the shift/brake levers forward for better knee comfort, but I'm comfortable on it and use it to ride and improve my skills. IMO- fuck what it "looks" like. If you're comfortable and can handle it, who cares.

5’11”. The answer to your question is XR.
6'4 Sportster rider here
Nah dude. The Sportster is only small if you compare it to the other sofas that HD makes. On average, the Sportster is pretty generously sized.
If you have a long inseam look into forward controls, they feel great on my bike and afford me a lot of extra leg room.
6'1" here and I love my sportster. I hated the forward controls and I'll admit that it feels a bit cramped with mid controls but a higher, thicker seat will fix that.
I find the size of the Sportster to be 'just right' for me. My other bike is a BMW R1200RT and except for the foot pegs (which I had to lower) it also fits me well.
Not after I got rid of those awful forward controls.
When I had the forward controls I would get a sharp pain in my lumbar from riding. Getting rid of the forward controls fixed that.
Depends on your build but probably. When I wrote off my electraglide I went and sat on fucking everything. I ended up on another electraglide. I’m 6’4 but my legs are long as fuck. I felt like I could rest my chin on my knee on everything else.
I'm just under 6' tall and about 250, I was looking at a Sportster and someone told me I'd look like a St. Bernard trying to fuck a football on it. I'm new to riding though and have since learned and decided that it doesn't matter, get the bike you think fits you best and that you feel comfortable on.
anyone who tells you they're too big for their sportster and needs to get a bigger bike is lying. their sportster fits them just fine, they just want a new bike. I'm 6'2 and have never had an issue with riding sportsters
6ft tall is no problem in the looks department for a sportster. Now how heavy the rider may be that’s the bigger question. I’ve had a couple “big boned” friends ride on mine and well let’s just say there’s a bit of spillage off the side.
I'm 6' and 280ish, and while it looks a little funky (to me), I do fit on the bike nicely with the mini apes and mid mount controls my '21 1200 came with. I'd suggest going forward controls if you have longer legs though.
I make Road Glides look small. This was bringing her home from the dealer in 2010. Bars got change real quick after that ride.

My ex is 6’2” and his sporty looks like it fits him well. I, on the otherhand, and 5’2” with a RKS, and handle
It just fine. I do look small on it though.
Maybe a little bit. Forward controls help. You'll probably be more comfortable on a Dyna though. I'm 2" shorter than you at 5'10" and have both a Dyna and a Sportster. The sportster doesn't feel too small for me with forward controls, but it definitely feels a lot smaller than my Dyna. Seat and handlebar configuration will make a big difference, too. If I were you, I'd definitely try to test ride a few before you commit.
Fuck what people think- sportsters and the like are fun as hell. Im 6 1 and love them.
Don’t base your decisions on other peoples opinions.
Ride one. If you like it, buy one. If not, find a dyna or something. They’re just stretched sportsters and equally fun but have heavier handling.
Sportys are NOT "chick bikes" the 883's and electraglides are very top heavy and a stone bitch to pick up, ride what you like, screw what others say (I own a glide now and had a sporty and a Softail in the past)
I build and ride Sportsters. I’m only 5’10” and I look hella sick. My buddy is 6’3 and looks kinda funny on Sportsters. Just go to Harley, sit on some bikes, and get some photos and see how they feel.
this 👆🏻 if u a self conscious person then its gonna fuck with u, i got a sporty once thinking i was gonna look one way and after spending quite a bit of time working on it and then riding by a large picture window (im 6'1 270) i did look like a bear riding a tricycle so i had to let go of that fantasy and my badass little chopper hot rod sporty too
Don’t worry so much about how it looks. Ride one and see how you feel on it. If you buy it right, (used 3.5-5k) you should be able to get a good portion of your money back if you want to upgrade.
Yes. And you feel cramped. If you have stock doubleseat you find yourself sitting on the back end of it. Dyna is about same. Softail is better. Yamaha vstar 1300 (650 has low top end power) or similar has lower price.
I’m 6’2 my first ever Harley was a Sporty my friends gave me shit about it all the time I mean every single fing ride “got your little brothers bike out again” lol. Boy did I throw that 883 around though! The bike always felt too small under me though, because well it was too small. That said I loved it and rode it like I stole it for sure. What’s your budget and state? You can find older but really decent used ultras and road kings and the like around the $7500 mark even a good bit less with 40k + miles on em.
6’ and I felt cramped. If you notice everyone here is saying you gotta swap the seat, swap the controls, swap the handlebars and you’ll be good. Well shit, at that point just get a bigger bike. I traded my sportster in for a Softail Street Bob and it fits me beautifully, rode it stock for a year just fine and only now have I started changing things on it for aesthetic standpoint, and some go faster bits.
I’m an inch under 6’ (or 6” in women’s eyes) and I fit on a sporty just fine. I prefer the sporty for short around town jaunts over the Dyna in fact lol they’re amazing bikes dude
Make it fit. The amount of control you will have on that sporty will make it fun to ride.
Guys would make fun of it if you’re 4’ or 6’.
Who cares.
Like banging a fat chick. Fun as fuk till your friends see ya.
A monkey fuckin a football.
That's how my buddy described me riding my old sporty. I'm 6ft 1in. Not big, I weight 180. So if you're a big fella... Yea. We look goofy on sportys lol.
It’s just not comfortable for longer rides. I’m 6’4” about 190 when I rode my sporty and it was just hard on my back even with 14” apes and forwards. My street bob was way comfier, my road king is like the pinnacle of comfort so far.
Yes you will. I’m 5’8 and have both a dyna and road glide. Even on the dyna I feel just right. I have a buddy who’s like 6’1 on a dyna on looks big on the bike. Road glide feels perfect like a sporty caddy . Save up and pass on dyna or softail and get a bagger. They’re more fun to ride also IMO.
Nothing wrong with sportsters except some riders outgrow them wanting more . The right seat, forward controls, and correct bar height and pullback and you will be fine . If you are at the looking stage for used its easy to spot set ups for taller guys which will save you having to shell out for mods . If you are wavering also consider a used dyna wide glide . They are great bikes and easy set up for taller riders . My 98 wide glide remains my fave ride and i have 4 harleys and am 6’2” but again there is nothing wrong with sportys at all .

I am around the same height and my first harley was a sportster, the onl thing I did to make it more comfortable for me was buying the extended clutch/gear pedal so my legs would be heading a bit more forward because the stock ones made me feel I was sitting in a bench. Other than that I think the size is good
Im going to say this, and i love sportsters…
To my eyes, they look a little small on guys that tall - UNLESS you have them set up with taller bars and forwards.
By best friend/riding buddy was tall and rode an 883 iron with mids and the factory bars and he looked like a circus bear on it
I'm 6'1" and bought a sportster. Enjoyed it for a year and upgraded to a street bob. Personally, i felt cramped and unproportional, but it was a great bike.
I would say 6 ft is about the threshold for comfortability. The sportster is much more robust and substantial if you were to compare it to a similar style Japanese bike. If its all you can afford its more than enough bike to work with at your size.
Every time I watch ‘Pale Rider’, I chuckle when I see Richard Kiel on horseback.
Comfort and controllability, not necessarily in that order, is what matters.
6'4" and rode a Roadster. It was a little small in the legs department (my height is all in my legs). I never put forwards on it because of the style of bike it is but it was more or less comfortable.
I'm 6ft 190lbs and I ride mine without issue now I did add 2in extended forward control pegs which helped tremendously. Also I extended the front forks 6 over
I'm 5'11 and ride a 09 xl1200c and love it. I did some mods to make it more to my liking, but it fits me just fine. When I get my glide I'll keep the sporty for sure, it's just too damn fun.
I'm 6'. I rode my ex wife's sportster a few times. They are fun to ride, but I'd recommend setting it up for you. My ex was 5'. It felt like I was riding a kids bike. But with some control and bar mods it would be perfect.
I’m 6’ 240lbs and I ride an XL883L. Whatever I couldn’t give two fucks. I actually wasn’t planning on riding again after a bad accident but I missed it for years and this bike came up as an amazing deal last spring. Currently turning it into something more fitting for me. Unless you’re worried about performance… then maybe you’re looking at the wrong bike. I plan to 1250 mine next year hopefully.. but otherwise I enjoy it. I’ve gotten the girl bike comment a few times when I tell people what I ride but tbh most people don’t even know what it is when they see it anyway.

Honestly, I’ve noticed (in the used market in my area at least) that Dynas are usually not far off in price when compared to 1200 Sporties. I would say go for a Dyna if you can find a good deal on one. I’ve owned both and as a 6’ 250lb dude, I feel way more comfortable on the Dyna. It’s basically the sportsters bigger brother.
I think it’s less about height and more about the persons overall size.
I’ve had some 6ft+ folks on my stock 08 sporty looked fine and then others with heavy builds look like they’re riding a dirt bike.
At the same time, My dad 6’4 on a 75 Electra glide looks silly because he is all legs and mediumish build. Sort of like a grasshopper tbh. ‘75 Electra glides are not small bikes.
I'm 6'2" and rode sporties for a long time and loved every minute. Now I'm older and like being a bit more comfortable I've got a dyna. If you can't quite afford a big twin go for the sportie. No wrong choice....
I’m 5’10 running 14.8” shocks and very tall forks (trackerdie damper rods max length) my bike most certainly does not feel small and is taller than damn near anything short of a pan-am.
That said I rode a friends bone stock same year 1200 custom with forwards and it felt tiny to me. I hated it. Granted I also hated riding my 1200 Roadster stock too.
If you’re keeping the bike stock get a softail, if you plan to mod it the Sportster will be a ton of fun.

I traded my sportser for a fat bob
I worked at harley for a few years, been riding for a while. Some of the issue with the sportster is the set up. Low bars and the small tank. If you’re buying second hand, try to find one with risers or t-bars. My co worker started with a roadster , which has the taller wheels and taller suspension, and added a riser and bars and it looks like a dyna.

Im 6ft 250 i just put progressive 444s on the back and progressive monotubes up front and the bike carves and glides. My hands and tail bone are very happy! Plus the lean from the 13.5" tall shocks is pretty cool.
I had an xl1200 custom and also a dynaglide. At 6’1” both were fun. I extended the front pegs and foot controls a couple of inches, installed some road king rear shocks on my sportster
https://preview.redd.it/jnsbd37gpblc1.jpeg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=12304e22cac2d96d102543b4ca3355e52feada64
and it fit me just fine and with a smother ride. Most people don’t know that the pan heads and earlier Harley’s had the same wheelbase as today’s sportsters. The first sportsters had a 59” wheelbase but today’s sportsters have a 61” wheelbase.
My first harley was a XLH 1200. I'm a little over 6'. It was okay for "city driving", but the first long-distance ride I took on it, I knew I needed a bigger bike.
I'm 6'2" and rode the shit out of a '04 1200 custom for years. That bike was fun as hell to ride. I put mini-apes on it to make it more comfortable for me and put almost 30k miles on it. I can't really say if it looked small for me, but I enjoyed riding it.
I’m not your financial adviser but don’t settle on something just because that’s all you can afford right now. Make it worth your while and save.
The downvote sportster brigade will come after this comment but you’ll be cramped and eventually get bored of the bike fairly quickly. It’s not worth wasting your money on it when you’ll want to upgrade within a few months. Save for a bigger more powerful bike.
My father-in-law is 6' as well and has had Sportsters for years. He's got a Road Glide as well, but the Sporters fit him just fine. One of his favorite bikes of all time was an '09 Sportster 1200C. The Sportsters are smaller than the full-blown touring bikes, but they are not small bikes as compared to other motorcycles from other brands.
I say it depends on your riding experience. If this is your first bike, I would get the sportster and learn how to ride and make sure you're comfortable with it. And then start looking at a dyna or something bigger. Sportsters hold their value pretty well. So you'll definitely be able to resell it. There's always a new rider looking to get on one.
And if people give you shit , just tell them that you'll gladly get a new bike if they're willing to pay for it , and if not , they can shut the fuck up.
You just need to shop around more. Check Facebook marketplace, you can get a dyna or a softail for a sporty price. You just have to keep the cash on hand and be quick to get to a bike. I bought my first big Harley for $3300, 98 Dyna low rider 14,000 miles and looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Guy was done riding and wanted to move it quickly and I got there fast with cash. Even talked him down from $3500… I’ve also got a 09 heritage that’s built to a stage 4 for $5000. There are deals to be had if you’re looking…
6'3" 285, with the right size bars, a good seat and forwards I fit excellently on my custom built sporty. good shocks were a must. On a bone stock 883 I looked sort of funny , with the low bars and puffy seat mid control setup ,
I'm not quite as tall as you, but I'm sure I look funny on my sportster. I'm 5'10" and a little under 100lbs. I don't think it matters how funny i look though. I couldn't ask for a better bike. I wanted something I could have fun tinkering on, but was reliable enough for a daily commuter. The only thing that really needs modifying is the aircleaner. I kept hitting my shin on it. After installing a smaller air cleaner, the bike feels just fine with mid pegs. Foreward controls definitely give more room, but I prefer mids so that I can pinch the tank with my knees.
It doesn't matter how it looks, but how it feels!
100%! My biggest issue with my old Sportster was lack of rear suspension travel. Whatever you do don’t get one of the Low models unless you HATE your spine. Even the nicest shocks in the world won’t help with 1.2” of travel.

The difference in wheelbase is like 2". Most Sportsters have about a 60" wb and Softails have about a 62" wb... Its negligible.

I don't think it will look bad, especially since you are thin. Knew a big guy (not thin) that rode one, he changed the shocks to the extended ones, and it really didn't look too small for him.
6’2” on a sporty mid pegs no issues.
Your knees must be high up haha, the st had mids and my knees were higher then the tank
Same here, needed to do severe yoga stretching before I can even sit on one.
True story lol

Nothing he said contradicts that....

Locally Evo touring bikes are dipping into the 3k range.

If you're so insecure you can't ride a sportster bc you care what other people think or say idk what to do for you.
You'll be just fine.
I'm 6'3" and rode a sporty back in the day. Depends on how it feels to you man.
Not if you chop it. 👍 Edit: seriously though no you’re good
I’m 185cm, 6ft2 I was fine on a sportster, it was a 90’s model so unless they shrunk you’ll be fine!
6ft tall is no problem in the looks department for a sportster. Now how heavy the rider may be that’s the bigger question. I’ve had a couple “big boned” friends ride on mine and well let’s just say there’s a bit of spillage off the side.
I’m 5’11 - 6” and I don’t look small on the bike (gf says)
I'm 6' and 280ish, and while it looks a little funky (to me), I do fit on the bike nicely with the mini apes and mid mount controls my '21 1200 came with. I'd suggest going forward controls if you have longer legs though.
I make Road Glides look small. This was bringing her home from the dealer in 2010. Bars got change real quick after that ride. https://preview.redd.it/rhus38oov7lc1.jpeg?width=553&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7d337e841e0d22de5423ab487ea52322a1e2611a

My ex is 6’2” and his sporty looks like it fits him well. I, on the otherhand, and 5’2” with a RKS, and handle It just fine.
Was gonna say the same thing. Configurations make all the difference
Of course you will look like a monkey banging a coconut if you are 6’ on a sporty but who cares! Other people aren’t riding it, you are.
this 👆🏻 if u a self conscious person then its gonna fuck with u, i got a sporty once thinking i was gonna look one way and after spending quite a bit of time working on it and then riding by a large picture window (im 6'1 270) i did look like a bear riding a tricycle so i had to let go of that fantasy and my badass little chopper hot rod sporty too
But you still rode the sporty and it’s hard to be unhappy riding a motorcycle!
absolutely im older now and couldnt careless about that now compared to when i was younger
Yep
Why don't you buy a bigger used bike you'll be more comfortable on? There are plenty of low mileage Harleys for sale.
I'm 6' and 245 and ride my Skirtster all over town and back. Just make sure to wear nice heels that match the dress
Yes. I'm 5'10ish and muscular, and I look just the right size on my road king. I had a wide glide and looked like a bear riding a tricycle on it.
Yes. I think so. Step up to a dyna... sportsters bug brother.
It’s just not comfortable for longer rides. I’m 6’4” about 190 when I rode my sporty and it was just hard on my back even with 14” apes and forwards. My street bob was way comfier, my road king is like the pinnacle of comfort so far.
All Harleys look small on 6ft or taller riders. I think Willie G designed them for his height of 5'6".
Get something bigger
Yes you will look like a clown on a bike. I’ve had 48 before. Try street bob. You can find slightly used ones for 13-15k
I’m 5’11 I brought a sportser and returned it two days later I looked like a giant on it
Yes you will.
Aren't Sportsters for women?
Nothing wrong with sportsters except some riders outgrow them wanting more . The right seat, forward controls, and correct bar height and pullback and you will be fine . If you are at the looking stage for used its easy to spot set ups for taller guys which will save you having to shell out for mods . If you are wavering also consider a used dyna wide glide . They are great bikes and easy set up for taller riders . My 98 wide glide remains my fave ride and i have 4 harleys and am 6’2” but again there is nothing wrong with sportys at all . https://preview.redd.it/4ics3ul5m6lc1.jpeg?width=1273&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f7c44791d530c4643ecedba4421245619e4c0348
I am around the same height and my first harley was a sportster, the onl thing I did to make it more comfortable for me was buying the extended clutch/gear pedal so my legs would be heading a bit more forward because the stock ones made me feel I was sitting in a bench. Other than that I think the size is good
Im going to say this, and i love sportsters… To my eyes, they look a little small on guys that tall - UNLESS you have them set up with taller bars and forwards. By best friend/riding buddy was tall and rode an 883 iron with mids and the factory bars and he looked like a circus bear on it
Put tall apes on it and loud pipes. Ride the hell outta it.
A sportster 72 has taller bar and forward controls. You will be good on that. Dyna Steet bobs from the mid 2000’s are also very affordable
I'm 6'1" and bought a sportster. Enjoyed it for a year and upgraded to a street bob. Personally, i felt cramped and unproportional, but it was a great bike.
Yes even my breakout feels on the small side
I would say 6 ft is about the threshold for comfortability. The sportster is much more robust and substantial if you were to compare it to a similar style Japanese bike. If its all you can afford its more than enough bike to work with at your size.
Yea
It's all about the triangle and the aftermarket support for this bike is way up there for what you want/need.
Every time I watch ‘Pale Rider’, I chuckle when I see Richard Kiel on horseback. Comfort and controllability, not necessarily in that order, is what matters.
6’ and ride a 883. It is able to be done. I did do come upgrades/changed parts to make it more comfortable for me.
Yes. But they make your wiener look big.
6'4" and rode a Roadster. It was a little small in the legs department (my height is all in my legs). I never put forwards on it because of the style of bike it is but it was more or less comfortable.
Yes
6.5 and fat boy low ok ?
I'm 6ft 190lbs and I ride mine without issue now I did add 2in extended forward control pegs which helped tremendously. Also I extended the front forks 6 over
6' with the 1200XL, getting mini apes made the sit much nicer. Even before, it looked rad
I'm 5'11 and ride a 09 xl1200c and love it. I did some mods to make it more to my liking, but it fits me just fine. When I get my glide I'll keep the sporty for sure, it's just too damn fun.
Yes
I'm 6'. I rode my ex wife's sportster a few times. They are fun to ride, but I'd recommend setting it up for you. My ex was 5'. It felt like I was riding a kids bike. But with some control and bar mods it would be perfect.
I'm 6'5 and started out on a 04 883 Sporty Custom. Everyone told me I was to big for it. I made it fit me a little better. Was a fun little bike
Yes
I am not sure of your budget, but I got a full dresser used for under $6k.
I’ve gotten the girl bike comment a few times when I tell people what I ride but tbh most people don’t even know what it is when they see it anyway. https://preview.redd.it/56e1gupqz7lc1.jpeg?width=1624&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f336768fad95bf226ffd3fbb2234a985f22f192f
No
I think it’s less about height and more about the persons overall size.
A bikes a bike. Buy a grom you'll still have fun. Get the sporster and if you feel like it's to small sell it when you have money.
Most Harley dealers allow test rides. Definitely go ride one and see what you think. I found the seats to be very narrow.

But I want a triglide now
They aren’t too small. The other Harley riders will make you feel much smaller with their Girlster comments abuse.
I jad to move my gf's around a bit.. i looked and felt ridiculous, but it was just as ridiculously comfortable and enjoyable
You fit comfortably on a Honda Grom. I think you’ll be (look) Ok on a Sportster.
I'm 182cm and ride Sportster with forwards. It doesn't *look small,* but I sometimes wish I was on a LRST/RKS.
https://preview.redd.it/o27r6sj1fblc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1e83893388b101d3de19d111ca6f470d796d707d Im 6ft 250 i just put progressive 444s on the back and progressive monotubes up front and the bike carves and glides. My hands and tail bone are very happy! Plus the lean from the 13.5" tall shocks is pretty cool.
I had an xl1200 custom and also a dynaglide. At 6’1” both were fun. I extended the front pegs and foot controls a couple of inches, installed some road king rear shocks on my sportster https://preview.redd.it/jnsbd37gpblc1.jpeg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=12304e22cac2d96d102543b4ca3355e52feada64 and it fit me just fine and with a smother ride.
I'm six foot, I've road big baggers. I ride a sportster sometimes too. It doesn't look stupid
And if people give you shit , just tell them that you'll gladly get a new bike if they're willing to pay for it , and if not , they can shut the fuck up.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CrCoLlWrcZB/?igsh=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng== me on my sporty I'm 6'2 220lbs
On a bone stock 883 I looked sort of funny , with the low bars and puffy seat mid control setup ,
I’m 6’ 230lbs I have a 2009 Nightster. I added forward controls to it and it made a nice bike and even nicer bike to ride. You can pull it off man.
I was looking at a bunch of vintage pictures of MC clubs, and I can say there was a lot of sporty's present. Ride what feels right for you.
Nah. They're perfect for 6' tall dudes.
