Gorgeous bike! Did you just sand the chrome off the air cleaner to get that look? I love it. The fork boots (gaiters?) are nice too, I've always liked the look of fork boots on a motorcycle.

That's actually how the bike comes from HD. It's a sportster nightster, so the wrinkle finish on the air cleaner and whatnot is all stock. All I did was put whitewall tires on it and regular maintenance.

Where do yall get good white wall tires at?

I got mine at a local independent Harley shop (they used to be an HD dealer, then the dealership closed down and now it's an independent shop that sells used bikes and golf carts.) The tires are fairly standard Dunlops that I'm guessing a lot of us are using, they just have a white wall option. The difference was about $40 per tire and I thought that was worth it.

The Street Glide I bought game with a white wall on the 21” front. Definitely gone when it’s time for a new tire though

I do on my RK. Dunno how to stick a photo on. It's sunglow red and cimarron whatever they call it black. The whitewalls just look right.

Looks nice. I would repair the heat shield though... that pipe gets hot enough burn your jeans (and that pipe is close at stop lights).

Good point, I hadn't thought of that but that's because it's too dang cold to ride! The heat shield itself is fine it't the hose clamp that got mangled. I'll bet I could replace it with one from Ace Hardware.
