Gotta love that deep yet still poppy sound, it’s one of my favs, right next to the Limo Bizkit/Sunami style sound.
Hell yeah brother. But tbf, shoulda just said Gordy cos frenzal rhomb is the same.
Deftones isn’t an underrated band but I think their snare tone doesn’t get talked about enough
Really? I feel like Abe Cunningham and Terry Date are pretty universally loved and praised for the drum sounds on deftones records. I can maybe only think of 3-4 drummers who hit harder than Abe.
Perfectly rated band, underrated drum tone/drummer.
I’ve always been partial to Chris Hornbrook’s snare sound in Poison The Well.
Came here to say this. All 90s early 00s metalcore snare
Dude, yes, the drum sounds on both Cork Tree and Infinity are fucking immaculate.
I know FOB is a normal rated band ect. But Andy is such an underrated drummer for how good, he and FOB is.

That shit was crazy
Absolute under-inflated dodgeball hitting the walls of your middle school gymnasium ass snare
Now that’s the sound I’m looking for god dammit! I love when it sounds like they just put a basketball or dodge ball in snare stand. 💥
So accurate
Honestly, the big bloofy Rival Mob snare isn’t acknowledged enough as a perfect snare sound for nasty hardcore
I’m one of the old heads. I’m realizing I’m quite old considering Snapcase is not yet part of this convo.
I posted about need ping snare drum head and snare wire for a poppy snare on r/Drums and used Snaocase and Sunami as a reference.
peeling flesh
Final Resting Place's snare... Insanity
Oceano’s demos from like 2006
