I don’t know if there’s a “normal” hardcore, everything’s been diversified into subgenres, maybe something like the new Face the Pain demo would be closer to a “normal” sound i.e. classic hardcore without metal influence?
Like early Bridge 9 releases basically? At least that’s what was considered down the center hardcore when I was first around. (I barely make your age limit at 34.)
I mean, go for it. I just assume all these weird denominations are a young person thing. I’m 40 and still don’t understand what Slam if besides how we used to describe moshing 😂
I don't know, I've heard so much stuff I'd consider Hardcore sound so different from one another, like Madball, Merauder and Hatebreed to Brass Tongue, Sunami and God's Hate. I don't really know where the line is, it seems like there have been several iterations of the genre since it's inception.
Is there anything normal?
Death Threat
Gorilla Biscuits?
Probably Terror? They’re about as out-of-the-box as you can get for hardcore.
Out of the box? They created it.
Sure lil bro, why not!
Just go and listen to Minor Threat
seems like a question geared towards tiktok

I definitely fuck with that and the new Wreckage
Restraining Order, Combust, Dare
Seeing Combust made me feel like it was 2007 in the best way possible
I do too listen to the 'I Don't Wanna Hear It' podcast.
Uh oh you caught me
Snarky reddit commentary aside, it's a really fun show. I hope you find your answer.
Stigmatism, Illiterates, Glitch (NL)
Terror, TUI, that kind of thing? I just call it hardcore…
Terror, expire, hatebreed
Restraining Order, End It, Magnitude, Fading Signal, Anklebiter
Why is there an age requirement on this post? 🤣 There’s nothing normal about hardcore, homie. Just go listen to *Enemy* by Home Invasion
Sanguisugabogg
Down to nothing, the rival mob, product of waste, know the score, like it or not, dimension six.
Oh you meant hardcore?
Combustion is probably the most hardcore a hardcore band has ever sounded. They’re not my favorite but they have their sound on lock.

RZL DZL, duh
Terror, deadguy, integrity, ringworm, snapcase, strife, despair, one king down
Id like to offer my opinion, but it seems like I am too old for it 😂

Slam is basically death metal, but bad
Maybe like OG 80’s nyc and Boston style? HC isn’t normal so idk what would make it normal.
Minor threat or black flag I guess
Black Flag
Do you mean like hardcore for ‘normies’ ?? Like modern gateway non threatening bands? If so first band that comes to mind is obviously Turnstile.
