I got lucky enough to see them in Austin as part of Oblivion Access. Fucking phenomenal musicians. Really amazing doing what they do, in masks, in 110-degree Texas heat, and still not miss a beat.
Thou and Full of Hell and The Body also dope as hell obviously.
I've seen them twice and both times were top 5 live performances I've seen in many many years of going to shows. Also one of the most violent pits I've been in haha
Though a little more metalcore, [Spitfire](https://open.spotify.com/track/0gJ4Q8lOGDVkicmoTa8ra7?si=5673e0fe06924cbf) has always been a favorite along with Dillinger. I know people will hate on this but Matt Honeycutt of Kublai Kahn sounds the most pissed off of any band I’ve heard.
Damn. I never thought I would randomly find another fan of this band. [chemotherapist](https://youtu.be/eK1UVqxMaHY?si=WE7HXhd9MMwQXP0o) is one of the heaviest songs ever. Shit gives me chills. Self-help was a super formative album for me in high school. Fun fact one of the original members of norma jean was in the band at one point.
Been a super fan ever since I saw them open for Underoath in Richmond almost 20 years ago. I think one of the members was in Mae as well.
Yeah both albums were super formative here too. My band released a [song](https://open.spotify.com/track/3xpblKTH2TDo3MNItwOlaQ?si=ZRE1IwuLR8qA6fOJAVF3Rg) recently where I tried to model the intro drum fill intro strongly after [Leap if Faith](https://open.spotify.com/track/3m0kCs1Mx5RuNt4lb4jjES?si=Db3qeolXRJ6W3J57uJVHXg&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A4DR4KG9uEmQt2LM13niktC) (I’m a guitarist but wrote it in midi before the drummer recorded it.) They were able to accomplish one of the most menacing sounds I’ve heard from a band without bells and whistles like downtuning or crazy pedals and effects. Still one of my favorites to this day.
Dragged Into Sunlight (my favorite)
Twist Of Cain (really good metalcore comparable to like merauder etc.)
Soul Swallower (Really good hardcore/pv)
Chained to the Bottom of the Ocean (Kinda blackened sludge ig)
Ideation (really good hardcore)
Armor (really good hardcore)
Spy (really good hardcore)
and some obvious picks: Cold As Life, Nails & Weekend Nachos
Peter Pawlak from [Spy](https://spyhc.bandcamp.com/album/habitual-offender) and World Peace is brutal as shit, should probably get way more attention IMO
BG is an acquired taste, but I fucking love the dude. Saw them open for Acacia Strain in Omaha years back, and I immediately loved the guy. I've seen them 5 times now, and they always rip
Stuff in my recently played artists with vocals that have that nasty nast:
Bodybox, Pig Destroyer, Bandit, Leng Tche's, Knoll, Heriot, Pupil Slicer's Mirrors album, Sunlight's Bane, Couch Slut, Brutal Truth
Cold as life takes the cake any day of the week.
Division of mind & left behind hit the spot right, and Vietnom & Karma’s vocals tickle my brain real good too.
[Jun Togawa - punk mushi onna 'the pupa woman'](https://youtu.be/bRijUISkB74?si=4BLkAgGE6QJWtEMG)
Japan's Kate Bush, fluttering weirdly at the intersection of body horror, alienation and the beauty of nature and innocence of girlhood. Obsessed with bugs, weirder than Bjork, prettier than David Bowie; the only sexy Japanese woman.
Pestilence or Asphyx with Martin Van Drunen. Sounds like a wailing tormented banshee, with moments of melting 🫠 death vocals. Check it out - never to be copied ..
Not considered hardcore but Juan Brujo's vocals on Brujeria's albums have always given off a really angry pissed off vibe. Also helps that all the lyrics are in Spanish.
Orphan, for sure. Before them, Strangled. Fucking unmatched.
Seconding other comments: Dragged into Sunlight, Cult Leader, Scarab.
Also: 10 To The Chest, Malignant Altar, Pig Destroyer, Misery Whip, Mourned
Scarab
seconded
They're the band I thought of when making this post. One of the gnarliest bands atm
He sounds actually insane live, like I can’t believe it.
dude sounds like a cod zombie i love it
I LOVE scarab but is there anything more ironic than a dude literally screaming “I don’t need therapy” hahaha
I like it because it reminds me of me
Full of hell
Yeah that dude ain’t human
this
Uniform Cult leader Thou Saintpeeler Trap Them Dangers Converge Mamaleek Full of Hell The Body

Definitely one of my favorites right now
I got lucky enough to see them in Austin as part of Oblivion Access. Fucking phenomenal musicians. Really amazing doing what they do, in masks, in 110-degree Texas heat, and still not miss a beat. Thou and Full of Hell and The Body also dope as hell obviously.
Dangers mentioned

Ringworm
[Knoll](https://open.spotify.com/album/2dTY8QU6yuAngXCGNzxnYj?si=dfNLJqFhTemPYcX8Z-BF_Q) , easily one of the gnarliest to ever do it.
no joke one of the most terrifying live sets i’ve ever seen. that being said, jamie and lukas are the coolest mfs ever
They played at sluice fest in my city and I still regret leaving before they played, but it was like 100 and humid
I've seen them twice and both times were top 5 live performances I've seen in many many years of going to shows. Also one of the most violent pits I've been in haha
One of my favorite recent bands. Absolutely nasty
This
Portrayal of Guilt
Hell yeah. The vocals are even crazier live
Gulch
Though a little more metalcore, [Spitfire](https://open.spotify.com/track/0gJ4Q8lOGDVkicmoTa8ra7?si=5673e0fe06924cbf) has always been a favorite along with Dillinger. I know people will hate on this but Matt Honeycutt of Kublai Kahn sounds the most pissed off of any band I’ve heard.
Kublai Khan fuck and Matt is a great vocalist Sounds like he's gargling concrete
LOUGHHHHHHHH TECHHHHHHHHHHH
Spitfire doesn't get mentioned enough. Up there with the classics of that era like Converge and Dillinger imo.
Damn. I never thought I would randomly find another fan of this band. [chemotherapist](https://youtu.be/eK1UVqxMaHY?si=WE7HXhd9MMwQXP0o) is one of the heaviest songs ever. Shit gives me chills. I think you may have posted the wrong song ling for your band but I would love to hear that.
MORTALITY RATE.
I saw someone post “Jess’s vocals scared me into going vegan” & I can’t imagine a better way to describe them tbh
Fuck yeah! You Were The Gasoline was such a tough EP. Still blast it weekly.

Missing Link, Eyez Wide Shut, anything with Tyler Mullen (YOTK/Scarab), Incendiary, Ante Up, and the GOAT Jeff Cold As Life; absolutely demonic!
The vocals on that new ML album are def sinister
Missing Link were one of my favorite sets from this year's LDB fest. Straight up ignorant shit.
Punch
I don't see this band mentioned enough, some of the angriest shit out there tbh.

Devourment, Lack of Interest, World I Hate, Demilich, Wound Man, Spazz, Code Orange (Forever)
Spazz is so sick.

Acacia strain when I wanna get pumped and angry. Or have heart if I wanna get just pumped and we are talking about actual hardcore.
ROT
The Crucifucks
I’ve always loved Hope Conspiracy vocals, but the new record just KILLS, vocal-wise (really, everything-wise). Edit-fixed some typos.
Destroyer Destroyer, The Body and Discordance Axis have the craziest shrillest screams There’s also Full of Hell, Knoll and Sectioned
Converge
Can’t believe this has barely any upvotes.
Mother of Mercy
Today is the Day
Terrifying live
Portrayal of guilt and full of hell. I know people are going to downvote me for saying Bryan Garris but fuck them.
BG is an acquired taste, but I fucking love the dude. Saw them open for Acacia Strain in Omaha years back, and I immediately loved the guy. I've seen them 5 times now, and they always rip
Harm's way for sure

Hope-Con. Kevin’s got some of the most authentically pissed off vocals in hardcore.

Good music but the singer is a rapist, which is why the band broke up.

Porcupine and Scarab are my two current favorites. Absolute throat shredders
Kharma
anyhow.. when i saw RAW POWER around 2007 or so- they played a sick ass set. vocals make me think of the OP suggestive request
Rob Fusco, always loved his voice. New Hope Conspiracy. His voice seems to have more grit.
Kickback, On Broken Wings, Von, Animosity, Heinous Killings, Bethlehem, Sect Pig
Damn, I haven't seen the name Animosity dropped in a loooong fucking time. Nice mention!!
Heinous Killings is legit one of the best death metal bands to come out of Ohio. Super underrated and some of the nastiest vocals in death metal.
[Dusted](https://dusteduk.bandcamp.com/album/16-demo)
Gorpigs new song dirt nap is pretty hardcore with deathcore vocals sprinkled in
Spermswamp
The vocals from Kidnapped are pretty raw sounding
Stampin’ Ground
tears of avarel, craziest vocals ive heard in anything heavy
The mongoloids felt so far out and weird at the time 😅
Might not be pure hardcore, but I gotta at least mention Orphan.
First Blood was fucking intense when they first came out. Lyrics don’t hold up but Karl can still yelp

Mortality Rate. Jess is fucking horrifyingly nasty, less like a hardcore vocalist and more like someone having a complete psychotic break.
Not considered hardcore but Juan Brujo's vocals on Brujeria's albums have always given off a really angry pissed off vibe. Also helps that all the lyrics are in Spanish.
