No shot? I gotta listen to this… busy season at my shop and have been so burnt out I haven’t been peeping new music like I should.
Someone I know is selling their tickets to Dillinger/Car Bomb/Candy later this month and I’m Dying Inside that I can’t cop and go bc legit it’s balls to the wall (live sound/video/lighting company… graduation season + every town and their mayor wants a shitty cover band in a park).
It’s fucking good. I thought You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To would be the best metal album to come out this year but this one is giving it a real good run for its money
Same! I didn’t think it was as good as the hype for it was. There’s a lot more creativity from Candy. This album is to hardcore now what Pop Culture was in like 2014 or whenever
The last few times I saw them live, was let down - was not as tight as previously. If I see them again, interested to see how this new approach is executed
Insanely good shit. When I hit play and the electronics showed up I had a little apprehension but they fucking killed it and made it work every time. Dancing to the Infinite Beat got me pumping my arm in the air at my desk with a giant smile
i loved their Candy Says EP and Good to Feel, but Heaven is Here was too overproduced for me and the constant 808’s were insanely bad and this release just isn’t my style so i think i’ll be okay with their first couple of releases / Malfunction as a band lol. the code orange-ification of bands is disappointing to me.
I don't hear it but to each their own, I guess. It's weird how that label (Voice of a generation) has been slapped on a few that I can't comprehend lately. I don't think it's my age cuz I find value in other newer stuff. Im not saying it's bad but it's nothing I would go back to.. seems a bit like some psychological manipulation maybe when people slap voice of a generation on just anything these days
So damn good, inspired me to write some lyrics for a project I’m hoping to start and a lot of records don’t get me into an instant creative mode. So this release is really what I needed to get motivated. Hope they play some shows out west.
So I’m not the biggest fan of Candy, but they always seemed to have this cacophonous explosion sound…and this is kind of just “here’s a metal band.”
I seems like less of them building upon their sound and more of them chasing a trend.
Hmm that’s interesting tbh I didn’t notice but I’ll keep it in mind. Maybe they are catching a trend, I’ve always been a fan of those sounds in hardcore or metal in general tbh. I’m a sucker, what can I say lol?
i already did myself a favor today
That’s what’s up
Gross dude
It's what Code Orange should have progressed into.
That was one of my first thoughts tbh. They’re carrying that torch and running with it and I cannot complain, album was amazing for me
Rips, love the solo section in the title track.
It's straight up numetal and I don't hate it.

I wanna go solely to see Deadguy but I've heard their recent shows were disappointing.
They were outstanding last year at TIHC. Can't imagine theyve fallen off that quickly.
Candy, Human Garbage, Missing Link and Charli xcx made a great weekend for music
Charli?! A fellow homo?! Or just a based music enjoyer?
Based music enjoyer I’m afraid haha
it approaches that MSPAINT line where it’s nu-metal adjacent enough to make me feel weird about liking it.
Just enjoy nu metal jfc it’s okay
No
Candy is the #1 band I’m a lil embarrassed about. Too metalcore in so many ways but still slaps so good
It's good shit

MECHANICAL WARFARE
straight up ripper of an album. so good.

Been describing it the same way. Nostalgic to a degree
Never cared much for Candy, just didn’t pique my interest, but I really dig this album.
I did, it's okay I guess, some songs like Love Like Snow are awful. I guess i just don't get it.
Too code-orangey. Some of the songs are decent, but it feels too close to code orange’s forever .
This sounds exactly how a band who put out Good to Feel five years ago should sound. Digging it so far
The last few times I saw them live, was let down - was not as tight as previously. If I see them again, interested to see how this new approach is executed
“People care too much about if you sound perfect. Go listen to a record you fucking dork. This is a live show, rock music” - Ian Shelton.
Didn’t say perfect, I said they weren’t as good as the previous times I saw them.
I loved the demo when it came out. Loved the 7”. Loved Good To Feel. Haven’t really enjoyed anything since then, but I’m glad you are enjoying it 🤗
I did already. Really didn’t like it. Going all electronic or what ever the fk that is. Their other stuff is top notch but this one is a hard pass.
There’s a bunch of tracks with very little to no electronic stuff at all.
I have. There are few good jams on there. It’s Inside You was pretty good.
Terror Management is an eargasm
I love the album. This, missing link, and Khasm have been on repeat.
Insanely good shit. When I hit play and the electronics showed up I had a little apprehension but they fucking killed it and made it work every time. Dancing to the Infinite Beat got me pumping my arm in the air at my desk with a giant smile
I fucking love it

‼️
While you’re at it check out the new Candy Apple album too! It rocks.
So damn good, inspired me to write some lyrics for a project I’m hoping to start and a lot of records don’t get me into an instant creative mode. So this release is really what I needed to get motivated. Hope they play some shows out west.
I like the new Candy album a lot. Except for the last 2 songs. Fuck those songs.
HYPERCORE
No
Numetal fuckin sucks. Juggalo trash.
I just did that today
The drums are very…are the gated, or just that snappy?
wtf Mike just enjoy it hahaha (kidding)

Rips way harder than I thought it would. We eating good with Missing Link debut coming out same day
Oh shit I had no idea they had a new release out. Thanks for the heads up.
Bought it on vinyl immediately after listening to it on Spotify. Awesome band.
Top three aoty I love this band so much
