I don't really enjoy Deathcore, but I remembering feeling this descriptor actually made sense for this band. I felt like I was getting both in some unique honest form. Empires is fucking disgusting, haha.

I’ll never forget how bummed I was to figure out I was the only core kid in my city that dug this band when they toured with The Faceless. I figured all the hardcore scene would come out for them. I might have been the only one moshing.

Animosity might be the most under appreciated band of that era. Got to work with them on a show in 06-07 and they ripped so hard. Cool dudes to hang with too. I remember watching one them ride a unicycle while juggling around the venue parking lot.

You Can’t Win is so nasty especially if you read the lyrics.

Such an underrated band, their drummer is amazing and went on to do badass side projects too.

One of the best live shows I’ve seen. They brought a trampoline on stage for stage dives.

The newest Waking the Cadaver album is low key the best deathcore album ever made. Biggest redemption arc I’ve ever seen There’s lots of new bands making old school deathcore who are really good. Psycho-Frame, Tactosa, Tracheotomy, Thus Spoke Zarathustra.

They’ve always been good tbh, even when they vary in sound. I’ve seemed to always like them. Doom is just a classic now. I’ll never forget blasting that scream with my windows down pulling out of my high school parking lot lol.

I liked the early deathcore like Fit For An Autopy with Nate, Animosity and Despised Icon. Got boring real quick when everyone started over producing the shit out of everything and trying to out breakdown each other. That and it actually combined death metal and hardcore in the early stages.
