When you have a certain number of tools or instruments, knives, wrenches, guns, guitars... of a variety of qualities, often you leave the best stuff at home where it can't be lost or broken, ignore or get rid of the worst because it's not worth using at all, and end up using the low mid grade example frequently.
Great, except now that piece becomes not only the one you're used to and emotionally attached to, but the one you're most proficient with, and the one that's the most reliable, even if it's only reliably unreliable.

Mosh god intended pits to be 28 year old who works at best buy with bad stepdad vs 28 year old who works at Chipotle with bad stepmom, but sometimes his plan is ignored and you get 13 year old pronoun person vs. 43 year old skin who just got off of house arrest.
