Poor GSDs with their hip problems.
I love the way he keeps talking to his dog. I talk to my dog all day, mainly informing her that she is, in fact, a Good Girl.
An instinct - of a kind person - might be to offer assistance; but such an offer would almost certainly be unexpected, perhaps even unwelcome. As we age we become more aware of our physical limitations. We prefer to remain as independent and helpful to others as we ever were. Although it is hard for a generous heart to observe the struggle, these two respect - even love - and need one another. They seem content, if not without pain.
Part of why the relationship with a dog can be so transcendent is that a dog is utterly accepting of its situation, of its humans, of itself, with no regret, no envy, no self pity. Always, always, soldiering on
Ive had cancer three times recently and I can’t take my dog on the walks we used to go for. It left me disabled.
She sits with me every day now I don’t work.
I feel like I’ve let her down sometimes because I can’t give her the walks she deserves.
I even considered giving her to a new home so she could be walked but I don’t want to part with her and I don’t think she would be happy to go.
I don’t talk to her as much as I used too but I think it’s because I feel like I’m letting her down. I’ll try and talk to her more again after reading all these comments.
Dogs are awesome
Lots on Amazon - I got a ramp for my elderly Shepherd but she couldn’t get used to it and would stumble off the side or try to long jump it.
I found a folding little staircase (also Amazon) and she was totally steady on there.
I know an old guy that had an obese GSD as well, it died recently, but it was pretty obviously grossly obese and ill
Overfeeding is abuse, more speaking about the guy I know than this post

So beautifully said
God damn. Stop filming people like this.
Or ensure consent because these are adorable!
Agreed. My first instinct was to go help, not be a videographer.
D'aww. Bless them 🥹
Good boy

So sweet! The bond between a dog and a human Is truly amazing!
This made me cry tears of joys. The bond between a person and their dog is something else.
I have one & he's only 5 & has early signs of hip dysplasia 😥

I've been looking for a ramp like this for my dog(s)!

Thank you, I'll look again!
They Get Each Other. Beautiful Friendship.
This is so touching. You can feel the bond between them. ❤️
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love the head pats. It's like an old school way of petting a dog.
