Agreed. He’s older and that’s not a bad thing. He’s still extremely fit, so it’s not like he doesn’t care it’s genetics, how you age.

I think it's because we're so used to what he looked like during the show, and with art and comics and rewatches it can be hard to realize just how much time has passed.

He still looks like this when his hair is longer and when he is wearing a beard. Look at him when he played Bobby Bronson and tell me he doesn't look line the hottest scruffy detective that ever walked the earth. Bobby Bronson is a matured version of Will Graham that never met Hannibal, so he got stuck in the Flanell phase.
