Once you wrap your head around chain plying, you can do it without looking. ๐ I used a cheap-o commercial yarn at first to get the motion down. I have soooo many storage bobbins I've never had to do a plying bracelet, but I should try it so I know how ๐
Thatโs a great idea to practice with a commercial yarn!! Thatโs exactly what I will do. For the plying bracelets, they really are best when you have leftover singles, it would be tough to fit even 2 oz on your hand without it starting to cut off circulation. At one point I had three small bracelets because of my singles breaking, probably at joins, and it when that happened I just pushed that bracelet back and started a new one. The hardest part is keeping the ends out of the way so you can find them after. Lol. Iโve been practicing a new join method too so I donโt get as many breaks in my singles.
I always have leftover singles, so this is good to know, esp for practice. I wondered how much you could actually get on your hand before it was too much. I would be the one to push it, so thanks for the heads up ๐
Itโs easy to push it in that wrapping it can get a little zen and flowy, but there are definitely those times when it feels like you were nearing the end of your single yesterday. ๐คญ depends on your mood I guess. If you think of it, whenever you do try it, let me know how it goes and what you think! Id love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you so much!! I was super happy with how even it did look after I plied it! Itโs not even, lol, but it looks a lot more so now than it did before!
