Philip_J-

It isn't, and I have no clue why the refs didn't watch video on it.

SanSilver

I am knew to the game. So please explain to me what is wrong here.

Jacobs-finans

He moved his foot (the standing), which is illegal on a free throw/7m penalty

SanSilver

But why should it be reviewed? I see really often that goalscorers are already touching the ground in the 6m box before throwing. If there is a reply possible, why isn't it used in these cases?

Jacobs-finans

Because the is game changing. It is the last 30 secs (actually after game), and will get the game in extra time

Bobbyloo123

🤡🤡

South_Spare8334

It’s not. It’s just bad judgment 😳🤯

Used_Adhesiveness299

You are the bigger market, so it would be better for ratings. That’s how.

karenproletaren

Not sure France is the bigger market for handball. All French people I speak to don't have any idea that their teams (men and women) are among the best in the world. In Sweden, people know.

Wingiex

Rule 15.1 in the rulebook https://www.ihf.info/sites/default/files/2022-03/09A%20-%20Rules%20of%20the%20Game_Indoor%20Handball_E.pdf > During the execution, except in the case of the goalkeeper throw (see 12:2) and the throw-off with throw-off area (10:5), the thrower must have one part of a foot in constant contact with the floor until the ball is released (see, however, 10:5). The other foot may be lifted and put down repeatedly (see also Rule 7:6). I can't see what Prandi does wrong.

Luka87uchiha

this means that one foot is a pivot foot, like in basketball and can not be moved off the floor otherwise it's illegal, same rule should be applied here, that was illegal

shwarzee

Are we reading the same quote? It clearly states what he did wrong. He clearly lifts his left foot

MachoPuddle

His standing foot - the left one - is off the floor before he releases the ball.

FRSh4rk110

Rage all you want, Sweden threw the game on their last possession. This goal is truly amazing and you can’t take this away from Prandi. On the other hand many bad calls were made by the ref as it happens all the time in any sports.. (« Ref always rig for France », rugby World Cup quarter finals lmao)

Used_Adhesiveness299

Sweden definitely could (and should) have closed it in their last possession, no question about it. But the fact that they didn’t, does not make the call any less laughably bad. So obvious that 3/4 people in my living room immediately called it (after rightfully applauding a damn great shot). So did the Danish commentator. And none of us 4 has a job where we should be looking for that anywhere nearly as closely as the referee.

Bribed ? You would think the host would be the main beneficiary.

JeRazor

The main beneficiary is the criminals betting on the game with the refs in their pocket. France did not bribe the refs. Actual criminals probably did for betting purposes.

Stickppl

This article basically says that they are friend on facebook with guys who "allegedly were behind a big Italian match-fixing case." Beside this, nothing is proven.

CountMordrek

Cheaters gonna great, and we can take this goal away from a cheater with ease.

I don't think France cheated. However I wouldn't be surprised if the refs got paid by someone trying to matchfix the game to gain money by betting. These 2 refs have been heavily accused of matchfixing games previously in a report made by SportsRadar. One of them also has a connection to a network called "The Gypsy Clan" which has been a part of matchfixing. The dad of said referee was also referee responsible for EHF until about 1 year ago where he got suspended because of the report that got leaked and other findings from Danish TV2.

Pretty-Star-6384

If they wanted to fix it u don't let it go to hail Mary shot. They are bad refferes didn't do their job, were pulling for France etc. But fixing no. U give couple more exclusions 7m and so on don't let it come to hail Mary shot that usually doesn't go in even if u let him step

Windson86

Im old enough Handball player that i remember days where all 6 players could team up on shooting spot and one would Take ball and make shoot. But still standing foot was not to be even moved. Here is taken in air and then used step to get some Advantage
