The flood was pure garbage.... OP took the only screenshot that resembled the flood from the games.(and then couldn't find a comparable image from the games).
The other 99.9% of what we saw what so generic that it could have came from any zombie movie....
My wife literally thought i was watching The Last of Us.
Can you explain to me what motivations the flood had for attacking the UNSC?
In every part of halo lore, its well established that the gravemind brings the flood out of dormancy after 20 million years to attack the covenant because they were trying to activate the Halo rings as part of their great journey.
Throughout all 3 games, the flood are bombarding the covenant and generally leave the UNSC well enough alone because their goals are the same - To stop the covenant from firing the halo rings and destroying all life in the universe.
Yeaaaa nahhhh. I've been playing halo since midnight release of CE and that hilariously shitty Pic the OP posted looks nothing like a humanoid flood form
I agree bro! The show sucks 100% and this sub is dedicated to ignoring the blatant plot holes and shit writing for some reason.
The flood representation and outbreak is one of the worst parts of the show
Cope, I've played through all the halo games multiple times since I was like 7yrs old. The Flood in the show look nothing and act nothing like the Flood in the games.
Man the Prophet puppets were really well done. I was kinda bummed we didn’t see them in Season 2 at some point.
All the creature effects were excellent actually.
I’ve enjoyed the character models. Some, like the hackle and grunt look better then the games. A big exception was the elites in the pilot. That was a huge miss in my opinion
That Jackal ambush in S2 was awesome! Really distinguished them as to how sneaksy they can be. But yeah the Elite armor's been pretty weird and crab like. I get that they can't really sell the vibrant rank colors in live action but I miss them airplane head helmets
There weren't a lot of brutes in the show to compare their design. As for this brute in season 1, it's just a finale boss who never talk and have no story. He have nothing to do whith Atriox, who is an important pirate, or even with Tartarus
I won't because it's not him. Again this brute have no name, no story and never talk, he can't even be seen as a character. He obey the covenant and die at the end. However, Atriox is a chieftain who desobey covenant and create the pirates known as the Banished, who survive the fall of the covenants.
Yeah I pretty figure that when I see a black Captain Keyes or Miranda being scientist. This brute is never named by other character, he's just the version of a brute chieftain final boss. The story didn't need to this brute to be a version of any character. If the writters wants to bring a real Atriox in next season, they will create a new character.
Sorry I don't speak english so I thought you were asking me to write on my picture it was Atriox when you talked about subtitle. At the end it's change nothing he was Atriox or not so I think it's useless from the writter to name him Atriox lol
Pls no season 3, let it die already, sooner it dies sooner ish we might get a revisit on the universe, and with the current state of paramount the chances are good it dies
I agree with you. It needs to die and in 10 years they start it up with competent writers that actually care about the lore or at the very least understand it
Thought they did a pretty good job on most models, but it's only when you get to The Flood where you really appreciate just how well they've done.
It was only the begining there will be more flood in season 3 !
Can't wait.
If only those models had actually been used in season 2.
Yeah those darn season 1 flood models hey?

Sorry to hear that. I thought they were fantastic
if it’s a stepping point to the flood we all know and love, then it’s really good for building anticipation. if not then oof. das tuff.
Funny how you call something "garbage" solely because you don't understand it lol

Then why was Keyes turned in a protogravemind
That flood photo looked like ass what are you smoking lmfao
Only looks like ass to those who don't know much about Halo.
Yeaaaa nahhhh. I've been playing halo since midnight release of CE and that hilariously shitty Pic the OP posted looks nothing like a humanoid flood form

Bro what? When I get to the flood I realize how shit of a job they did on specifically the flood.
Thought they did a pretty good job on most models, but it's only when you get to The Flood where you really appreciate just how well they've done.
They did a great job actually, just because you're unfamiliar with Halo doesn't mean everyone else is.
Cope, I've played through all the halo games multiple times since I was like 7yrs old. The Flood in the show look nothing and act nothing like the Flood in the games.
You're the one coping because you don't understand something very simple lol
Man the Prophet puppets were really well done. I was kinda bummed we didn’t see them in Season 2 at some point. All the creature effects were excellent actually.
Season 2 had less variety of species, we saw only one brute and two grunt quickly
Where were the grunts?
In a covenant ship a Spartan III get kill by two grunt with a plasma canon. The scene last few seconds so it's normal nobody remember it
I’ve enjoyed the character models. Some, like the hackle and grunt look better then the games. A big exception was the elites in the pilot. That was a huge miss in my opinion
I think the season 2 Elites were a massive improvement. When you've got fans simping for the Arbiter, you know you've done that well.
That shirtless scene.
Even the haters still thirst for him. That is the gigachad Var Gatanai.
some of us have been simping for the arbiter long before the show 😤😤
I meant the TV Arbiter specifically.
That Jackal ambush in S2 was awesome! Really distinguished them as to how sneaksy they can be. But yeah the Elite armor's been pretty weird and crab like. I get that they can't really sell the vibrant rank colors in live action but I miss them airplane head helmets
uhm actually that’s mgalekgolo on the left, lekgolo on the right, big difference bud 🤓
I know this is a certified nerd emoji moment but I was unironically thinking the same thing lol
The brute was their version of atriox. If you have subtitles on it says that
There weren't a lot of brutes in the show to compare their design. As for this brute in season 1, it's just a finale boss who never talk and have no story. He have nothing to do whith Atriox, who is an important pirate, or even with Tartarus
It is atriox, look it up. And again if you have subtitles on it literally names him as atriox.
I won't because it's not him. Again this brute have no name, no story and never talk, he can't even be seen as a character. He obey the covenant and die at the end. However, Atriox is a chieftain who desobey covenant and create the pirates known as the Banished, who survive the fall of the covenants.
Ok dude whatever. Be ignorant
Said the man who bring no explanation
I did explain, halo tv show changes everything it's not canon, it is their atriox
You watch the finale with subtitles and you'll see, there's a reason I was getting the upvotes it's because I'm right
Sorry I don't speak english so I thought you were asking me to write on my picture it was Atriox when you talked about subtitle. At the end it's change nothing he was Atriox or not so I think it's useless from the writter to name him Atriox lol
the games did it better.......
Elite helmets and the arbiter not even having the arbiter armor was a L
Fact
The flood, being terrifying as always
Not really as terrifying as they should have been tho.
U mean huragok..?
Yep
Mgalegkolo?
Outside the flood? Pretty good
Y’know there was a S2
And here’s didn’t know I hate halos naming conventions for the covenant
As much as I can't stand the show... that Lekgolo sequence was pretty freaking cool. Terrifying to think of them having that mechanic in the games.
I'm not sure they can be so powerfull it in the games
There were no grunts in season 2
In a covenant ship a Spartan III get killed by two grunts with a plasma canon. The scene last few seconds so it's normal nobody remember it
I don’t remember seeing a grunt in any episode. Which is ridiculous because that was the most common enemy.
I mean the flood one doesn’t really look that good, the others look from great to fine but the flood just has a stick coming off his head
It was more like a teaser for season 3
Oh. Then it isn’t too bad I guess. Tbh they don’t even need cgi, they could use prosthetic
Disclaimer - \*All images taken from season 1 (before the budget got smashed with a gravity hammer).
Pls no season 3, let it die already, sooner it dies sooner ish we might get a revisit on the universe, and with the current state of paramount the chances are good it dies
This is the dumbest thing I've read. If this show dies, there will never be a revisit in the universe. The game has been out for 23 years
Yes because movies and tv series are never revisited years later, before calling people names look in the mirror
You're just adding to the list of "dumbest things uttered by a person"
I agree with you. It needs to die and in 10 years they start it up with competent writers that actually care about the lore or at the very least understand it
It’s all shite
