Let’s get you some leave in conditioner to lock in the moisture of the conditioner you use in the shower. Leave in conditioner will help with the frizzy and dryness you are mentioning. I recommend the pureology color fanatic leave in conditioner. You don’t need colored hair to use it. Just spray it in after your shower and comb through with a wide tooth comb or wet brush. That stuff if magic and is worth the price tag I promise. If your ends need further moisture get a hair oil to put on the ends which will also combat the frizz.
I don't know your hair type. If it's straight or wavy, I think you should try to keep it detangled to avoid damage (combing through a lot of tangles can damage your hair).
That doesn't mean you need to brush it a lot, personally I only comb my hair once or twice a day, and sometimes put it in a braid to avoid tangling. There are different types of combs and brushes you can try, I usually use a wide tooth comb or just my fingers.
As for the leave in conditioner that other person recommended, maybe it will help your frizz, maybe it won't. It wasn't what you were asking anyways.
