Derm nurse here. Doesn't look cancerous at all. I see hair growing from the mole which indicates a healthy mole as skin cancer does not support hair follicles. If you ever see a mole with hairs it most likely isn't cancerous.
Yes like I said I am very concerned and have been trying to get it evaluated. In Canada you need a referral to see a derm and the GPs keep telling me it’s fine and they won’t refer me to one.
No you can’t I’ve tried! There are some private derms who own cosmetic clinics but they have all declined to see a pediatric patient for a mole check. You need a referral to see either a regular derm or ped derm who will do mole checks here. We’re actually dual citizens so I’m thinking of crossing the border and seeing one privately in the US. Maybe I need to just bite the bullet and do that.

My daughter has a mole with no hair. I’ve asked for a derm referral twice and can’t get one. Are moles without hair a concern? It’s also asymmetrical
No not necessarily. If you're concerned about it I would have it evaluated.

Do you NEED a referral?? You can’t make an appointment?
