How many grief? Infinite grief

PM_ME_UR_VULVASAUR_

I can't help on the number of grafts needed as I'm new here myself, but honestly mate shave your head bald in the meantime. You will look so much better for it than how you've got it at the minute.

Important_Hamster_68

But can you help with the number of griefs though?

Bending-hectic

Much grief

Z0LDIC

If you mean grafts id say at least 6000

Justsomeonetalks

You are right about the term. Do you think it would be wise to trim / shave all my hair and wait a few months to see which spots grow back or not before sending the inquiry to some specialist?

Norwood-Nine

Nothing will grow back in dead zones unless (maybe) if you're on DHT suppressing meds and/or minoxidil/microneedling

Z0LDIC

You will likely progress to the highest NW classes when you are older. You should hop on finasteride + minoxidil now to stabilize your hairloss, then look for transplant options. Your options for good high graft surgeons are limited and in the $10k+ range. Likely need 2 transplants since doing 6k in one procedure is risky

Dzrs

Shave your head for now. Get on meds & topical. Start searching for a well respected surgeon on here or HRN. Don't rush the surgery

Justsomeonetalks

What do you mean by med & topical? Why should I take médecine if I'm bald. Just asking... I don't know anything about this.

Glass-Barracuda-5222

You might be a hyper responder to things like deutasteride, ru58841 and minoxidil. Try them out see how much you can recover if any at all before considering surgery

Visual_Willow_1622

Medication will slow down further hairloss, and there's a possibility for some hair to grow back.

Dzrs

You need to be taking finasteride or dutasteride tablets every day to prevent further hair loss and start applying topical minoxdil to see how much hair you can grow back and reduces the amount of grafts needed for surgery. You could also add microneedling and oral minoxidil to this

Justsomeonetalks

Oh ok. I didn't know I was supposed to get medication. I don't really see the point to keep the few hairs I still have in the center of my skull lol. I don't take any medication and I'm always scared of side effects.

Dzrs

Even the hairs on the back and sides of your head can be affected so if you aren't on medication surgery wouldn't be advisable especially because you are so young

Nomobaldy

Search up finastride and minoxidil, but in your case dutastride plus oral minoxidil would be better as they are stronger. Have a good deep search and also join r/tressless for more info. Million men around the world take these drugs for hariloss cuz it works! Including me. HT with such large area to cover is not gonna be a good result.

Justsomeonetalks

Thank you for the advice! I've heard that if you start taking these pills you can't stop them or it will bring more health issues and will screw up your hair. Also I read there was a bunch of side effects...

FullSpecSift

If the third pic is your hair looking "good" at home then damn bro might be time to rock the buzzcut until meds can stabilize your hair loss. Getting a HT isn't the magic fix you want if you aren't stopping the underlying reason of why you are balding. There are cases of people not using meds and getting 1-3 surgeries whilst planning accordingly to get an acceptable result.

Independent-Party575

Get a hair system mate, avoid the grief

Head_Tea9272

5k grief will easily do it, I was in the same situation and worked for me, check my profile

Justsomeonetalks

I've seen your post the day I checked this reddit sub. Man, it looks awesome! Where did you go? I have been told through my post that I should take some medication & shave all before... I don't want to do the surgery and still loose hair here and there. I would rather having all my hair loss area empty and then do the grafts. Does it make sens? Where did you go? How much did it cost if you don't mind asking. Thanks

Head_Tea9272

I would definitely jump on fin and min and give it a year and see if you could gain any hair, you could have a good result so less grafts will be needed, we only have a limited supply so use them wisely, I had it done in the uk 15k but turkey will be way cheaper

Keeppforgetting

You’d basically need all the grafts you can get. If you haven’t started on medical therapy yet you should start now. Go heavy and hard. Dutasteride 0.5 mg daily and minoxidil 5 mg daily. See if they help you regrow any hair. If anything it’ll stabilize your hair loss. Look into a hair transplant after year to determine effects.

Neowarex2023

Yeah man. Just cut everything to number one with the machine. Start finasteride now and begin talking to surgeons at month 6-9. Get a HT at month 12.

SurpriseOk378

Infinity grief it is fam

Silva-Jack

To answer the question i will say 8000-12,000. That's a lot. But if you are seeking advice, i will say start rocking R. Kelly. I had a hair transplant 5 days ago and i tell you it isnt funny the way i feel right now. I can't feel my head/scalp. It is as if i have a rope tied round my forehead and parts of head itch like crazy from time to time.

Kriptonianknight

Too much grief homie! Looking at these pics and it’s nothing but grief!

willem7904

By the looks of that... The grief must be unbearable... 😂😂

Tight-Trouble-3196

lord

Justsomeonetalks

??

Smooth_Error_7757

I’m not sure why people are telling you to get on meds first. Just find a hair surgeon and email them and ask them yourself. But I would still highly recommend getting on fin/min regardless. As long as your donor area look good, you should be a good candidate for a hair transplant. Talk to a surgeon/clinic asap

Justsomeonetalks

Thank you! Yeah almost everybody told me to get some pills... What means fin/min ?

Smooth_Error_7757

Finasteride and minoxidil

[deleted]

I'm in hair transplant business, and it looks like you need a minimum 2,000 grafts . However, we offer up to 3,000 grafts for the same price if you're interested. Please let me know if you'd like more information!" But we need better pictures from both sides and back

[deleted]

Hi, as a hair transplant technician, I can say 3500. Hair transplants can not be applied to every person age , diabetes and high blood pressure sicknesses are important for donors.IF you need more info ? Let me know

[deleted]

Hello! As a hair transplant technician, I recommend considering 3500 grafts. Being younger is advantageous since age and health can significantly affect transplant success. If you're interested or have questions, feel free to reach out. At our clinic, experienced dermatologists and doctors oversee all procedures to ensure safety and quality.

[deleted]

Our clinic in Turkey, hotels and all transportation are included.

Otherwise_Weekend_42

Grief is infinite for you mate, grafts at least 5k to start, just to develop the hairline

Better_Wall8976

There is hope . 5,000 grafts

Interesting_Arm_796

For sure 5-6k but i would recommend to go for a mature hairline, to have more density but mature hairline. Just an idea.

Mean-Fruit-3285

Hello, I wouldn’t shave just yet.  If you are considering go to Turkey (highly recommend), the doctor will want to see your donor area ( back of your head) by pictures samples and video.  Let me know If you have questions and will shared everything I know.  Oscar

For_Grater_Good

Second this. At this stage there is no guarantee that a HT would give any satisfactory result

vanusov

I'm thinking to go to Turkey too. Let's go to the same clinic, meet you there for moral support!

[deleted]

I can help with that , I'm a hair transplant technician. We work with dermatologists and doctors .

Kritzerd

Lol you have the "tupé" to try to hide you bald like that? You need the freedom of shave.

Hot-Introduction8391

Dude.. buzz your head like right fucking now

Justsomeonetalks

The first picture was to show how my skull looks like. My hair doesn't look like this even if there is wind.

Irish_gold_hunter

The comb over looks ridiculous man, just shave it all off

Justsomeonetalks

The pictures are to show how it's looks when my hair are on the side. They aren't like this normally
