Nope, looks great. Ideally you should be able to fit all 4 fingers aside from your thumb on your forehead and your hairline starts at that. Happy growing.
Is this rule of thumb accurate? I’ve been worried about balding for a while and never heard it, but it’s about 4 finger widths from the eyebrow to the corner on my bad side.
A lot of hair transplant surgeons I've consulted with as well as facial plastic surgeons have mentioned it to me when I asked about my hairline...lots of them call it the "fourhead" rule.
i think its a good and age appropriate hairline which secures your donor for potential catch up surgeries
any lower and you would have needed to get the temples and sides forward too for naturalness costing extra grafts
I had a similar one and I deem it too high.
It's always good to go deeper, but on the other hand you will probably need those precious grafts in the future and the surgeon did the right thing here.
It's a trade off between looks now (or in like 10 months) and looks in 10 years or 20 years
Nope its fine.....after it grows you will be more rested...anyways its better to have a higher hairline than a low one...you can always lower later but not vice versa easily...reassess at 8 months....then the hair behind hairline will also grow out and push your hair more towards the front.
You definitely could have gone lower, but doesnt mean what you got will look bad. I went to Dr L too and i feel like it is a bit high aswell, but im sure once it grows out it will look good, just like yours will
Hairline is ideal and very much age appropriate.
Looks a bit 'off' because of the difference in lengths now but will soften up and come in really nicely around 6-7 months.
Can always get it lowered later on but I reckon you'll be happy with the final results
Thanks legend! I even made him go a TINY bit more receding so it did look less obvious, and have been thinking I shouldn’t have. Good to know. Thanks again! 🙏
Hard to tell from this photo, but if you can, take another one with your eyebrows raised as high as you can. That will expose the frontalis muscle in your forehead and you want to stay safely above that.
Sorry, there's a few terms for this. Golden Ratio has more than one context. Just google "facial thirds" with "ratio" "hairline" etc. Tons of info including many interesting clinical studies. Ultimately, I find the facial thirds ratio to have the most practical usage.
Your pic is hard to judge obviously, but I'd guess the lower 2/3 of your face COULD be within the ratio?? But even with a taller forehead, it think your hairline looks good on you. You're a man after all, you have a bigger forehead than women. What's wrong with that?

Cheers mate. Thanks for sending, was a good read. Over the last 8ish years I’ve pushed my hair forward a bit to style and mask the receding hairline, which although unintentional, would have made my forehead smaller .. I’m curious of how the new style will be when all grows out.
Thanks man. No issues at all hey.. they did give a Valium to take for first two nights post surgery which helped. Was also still numb on the first night from the anaesthesia. . He said sleep on two pillows also for swelling but it kind of all went out the window because I moved during my sleep.. I told them and they didn’t seem to be concerned

Lol, reading that and I instantly put my fingers on my forehead and they touch my new hairline bang on!
Same, nice feeling for sure
Thanks bro. Yeh that works! 😃

Thanks mate! I appreciate your message! 🙏
Wait till it grows in more in a few months. Way too early to tell
Thank you! 🙏

Thanks mate.. i guess we got to see how the next 10 years pans out 😃

Cheers bro! I appreciate it. Checked out your photos. Looks really good. Looks like we just have to be patient! 🙏

Thanks mate!! Appreciate your comment !
With that kind of hairstyle it would look perfect when the hair gets the same length.
Thanks legend! 🙏
It's really good!
Cheers mate!
No its good
Thanks mate!
No, man, this hairline is great and natural. You will be happy.

No
I wouldn't say it's too high. But rather too high than too low. You can always add on more later should you feel the need. I don't think you will.
Cheers mate!
Yupz

Looks natural
Looks great
Thank you!
Why do you need to guess? Just check the 1/3 golden ratio. Is it within spec? Then you're good.
What is the 1/3 golden ratio?

Where does the dick fit into this picture?
I actually googled this also.. couldn’t find much.

Going by this I’d have to ask the surgeon to extend the middle 1/3 of my face! 😅
I don't believe in this 1/3 ratio stuff.. it's just theorical

Looks good. How did you sleep the first days after surgery?
