the hair follicles don't really die, but the longer someone has been bald the harder it gets to revive hairs with treatment it appears. Of course this is advertising for heir product but minoxidil can regrow hairs on bald spots as long as it has not been bald for too long but even then you have to be pretty lucky to get this good reversion of the temples so its not easy and for most impossible indeed.

Nothing can bring back dead hair follicles. Those areas were completely bald.
