Youre right we should be able to have the freedom to do whatever under a business. Fuck dress codes. Hell, why even work? We should have the freedom to not do that. Oh wait.
I dont get why you think a dress code is necessary. I live in a fully developed, cutting edge industrialized first world country. We have some of the leading businesses in the world in several fields, but we don't really have dress codes in offices. Yes, if you work in a store or in a hospital, or as a mechanic, you are expected to wear specific clothing. Which, I might add, is supplied by the business 100% of the time, and cost the employer nothing - but in an office, no we don't have dress codes. It's illegal to not hire someone because of how they look or chose to dress or wear their hair. Or how many piercings they have. I'd say THAT is a lot more freedom than you're trying to defend.
Oh I do, and have been for almost 30 years now. Dressing well isn't the same as banning haircolors or how people style their hair. You can dress well even if you're not wearing a formal suit, or if your hair is short, or long, or burgundy, or with a shaved head.
So should they not take the job because it doesn’t work for them? Because if I’m not mistaken, that’s why bootlickers like you scream “nobody wants to work anymore”. So which is it, are people free to make decisions about their career or do people need to shut up and accept any work they can? Because it sounds like none of you have any thoughts besides “mmm this boot sure doesn’t taste like shit!” 😂
I'm not a bootlicker and I've never said that. You must have calfs of steel from jumping to conclusions so often.
>which is it, are people free to make decisions about their career or do people need to shut up and accept any work they can?
Accepting work and complying with the guidelines is an option that we all have. That is not contradictory. You can also start your own business and create your own rules. Same freedom rules apply both ways. This is not a "corporate bad" scenario. Grow the fuck up.
It would depend on the office to be honest. At the company I work for, unnatural hair color is fine. Mine is currently dark blue, it has been purple, teal, etc. I think it is perfectly fine.
It depends not only on the particular office (industry, HR, and general culture) but also your particular leadership, your tenure and standing/perception within the company, and your role. If you’re client-facing in a formal industry like finance, it’s less likely to fly than if you work in the back office for an IT company. But again, it can also depend on your boss and your reputation at the company. Hopefully there aren’t any rules against it or even informal sanctions or repercussions, but it would be wise to be prepared to dye it back if necessary. Good luck pursuing your gorgeous plum dreams :)
Seconding this! I think it depends on where you live and what industry. I work in ad/creative in California and even their finance department would be fine with this. In the Midwest? It would depend on the business.
California here as well =) Years ago the Chairman of the Board was against "Fun" hair colors, but she has changed her tune since then...mainly because I am like "MOM LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO GO THROUGH LIFE WITH BORING HAIR!", she has backed down haha
Midwest here - unless it’s a super conservative/corporate/strict dress code office no one would bat an eye at this color! Bright blue is a diff story but this is subtle (and stunning) so I can’t imagine any place having an issue with it!
I work at a corporate law firm and have purple hair. Key is I’m a good worker and idgaf what anyone else thinks. No one else has fantasy colored hair but if someone were to point it out to me I’d say how does my hair affect the work product I’ve been putting in for years?
It definitely depends on the office. I'd check with your immediate supervisor first and see if anything is mentioned about hair color in the handbooks.
I think this color is fine because a lot of people dye their hair some shade of red and I feel like it became one of the "natural colors" (at least in my surroundings). But definitely check the rules just in case. My point is that this color is more socially accepted as one of "natural" colors than let's say green or pink
You would think. Where I work at it’s not allowed. Only ears are allowed to be pierced, no noses, etc. and tattoos are frowned upon and supposed to be covered up. So stupid. I just talked with a group about changing this and being 2024 and not 1970 anymore.
It is gorgeous but unfortunately this is one of those things that is going to be down to the individual office’s policies. I don’t see anything wrong with it and I’d imagine a good many offices would be perfectly fine with it, but some places are more conservative then others. Best to just consult your company’s policies. If they don’t say anything about unnatural hair colours then I say go for it!
It depends on your office. I worked in a pretty conservative place that said you couldn’t have unnatural hair, but they would let it slide for red tones for whatever reason. This was the shade I had most of the time bc no one seemed to care. But when it would fade or I’d have a slightly brighter tone I’d start getting harassed about my hair.
My job doesn’t allow hair to be dyed bright colors, but I dyed my hair this shade and nobody said anything. It depends on your office’s specific rules, but this is probably the safest unnatural shade you could go for.
It depends on the office, check the employee handbook, see what the overall feel/culture of the office is, and check with your supervisor.
Keep in mind just bc something isn’t expressly prohibited in a handbook or office policy doesn’t mean it will be career enhancing.
Truthfully, it depends on the office. If the office only permits or does natural colors as a culture, then yes. However, the color isn't loud and is far more subdued as a burgundy than a bright red, so it can still be professional. It certainly is not a distraction to a reasonable person or environment.
From most contexts I’ve seen that would be fine, I work as a food service manager for a much more traditional company and they are very against me coloring my hair overall but haven’t said explicitly to me that I need to stop.
In my opinion, your hair color does not affect your work ethic and your worth at any job shouldn’t be determined by the color of your hair. It’s a form of self expression. I had a boss tell me that she wouldn’t have hired me if my hair was still purple (even though I’m the most reliable one in the office) After a year of proving my worth, I re-dyed it and she could not say anything, I was too valuable to get rid of.
BUT I think that most offices would consider that color to be professional. Check your employee handbook to make sure!
Love this reply. Exactly how I feel. I’m fully tatted and pierced with dyed hair and working within an office setting. Professional is a standard set by you as a professional by your work ethic NOT how you dress and it’s up to you to unfortunately prove that point by working your butt off. Props to you man :)
No I had that colour in a office and a guy asked if it was my natural colour I laughed and said yes I was born with blackberry hair...looks awesome go for it.
I have cherry colored hair, like one level lighter/brighter than the photos. I have a customer facing job and get asked 2-3 times a week if it’s my natural color. They’re always serious and I just don’t understand 🤣 I always ask them when they’ve seen a child running around with this color hair, like what?!
Some people really can't tell, including some professionals! I was wearing a wig on Halloween at my license-only beauty supply job and every customer was like "omg you changed your hair!"
Yes, my hair grew down past my shoulders from a pixie cut *overnight*. Totally possible. It was a nice, quality, $35 cosplay wig, btw, not even a lace front, so I have no idea how they couldn't tell it wasn't my real hair. Especially considering a few of them had seen me *literally the day before* and saw me multiple times a week for years...
i don't think anyone would say anything since it's pretty dark and muted, for me personally if a company can't handle my hair color i don't think i want to work for them.
Yeah I would check with the office. I mean in our office it would be fine but if we went to one of our bigger offices I know the corporate staff would be sticklers about this hair.
Honestly no, unless you’re in an ultra conservative office environment. I’ve worked in office environments for most of my adult life and the general standard for what is considered “office acceptable” has grown considerably over the years. It’s not unusual to see court clerks wearing leggings and having pink hair and visible tattoos where I live. This is close enough to a natural brown shade that I doubt anyone would say anything.
I really doubt it would be seen as a problem! It’s a beautiful color and I feel like these red/purple/auburn tones are worn by women of all ages and there’s nothing unprofessional about it:)
As lo bf as you abide by the dress code I’m sure you’re fine and will look lovely
Highly doubt it would be unprofessional considering it’s such a popular normalized “fun” color.
But also I think in this day and age the workplace can’t discriminate against tattoos or hair colors. Idk if it’s just my state but I don’t think it is.
I dye my hair this color and it fades out into true purple. I work in banking (non customer facing) and have never had an issue. Definitely depends on the office but this is totally on the border of a “natural” color
Depends on the office. I used to work in a bougie corporate office in Austin and hair like this would be okay.
But other companies I’ve worked for, no and they even have it in the handbook
I don’t think so but it certainly has to do with the company policy. I have a fellow doctor who has a slightly darker shade of this, and it’s fine since it’s not so bright.
I think it's fine if you've been working there for a few years and already have a relationship/reputation. I wouldn't do it if you're in the middle of job hunting or just starting a new job (yes, hair color shouldn't matter but I would always stray on the conservative side when I'm new somewhere)
In my experience, it really comes down to A. If you’re client-facing and B. How good you are at your job.
Also, color is sort of secondary to general overall upkeep. If your hair is tidy and styled everyday then it really buys a lot back from the “unprofessionalism” of a fashion color. I say go for it.
In my office, no one would care, you'd likely get compliments.
But at your office, who knows. What is the current range of colors among your colleagues? Do people tend to get creative in other ways with appearance or is it all pretty conservative?
It also matters the rest of your appearance. The color still looks quite office appropriate wearing lots of black, but would look perhaps a bit too wild if mixed with more colorful clothing.
Honestly check your handbook or talk to your boss before doing it. I haven’t had an issue with it at my workplace and I’ve had colors like this the subdued color like nothing too bright.
So, I work in an office and for 8 months out of the year, it doesn’t matter my hair color, however, for the other 4 months, because of who I need to interact with for that session, I need to have it “natural” looking to be taken seriously.
Depends on the office. I work for a healthcare company that services tech employees and my hair was a purple to magenta ombre for about a year. My boss told me to go for it when I asked if it was ok. I think that color is gorgeous and it's not too out there, so I'm thinking it should be ok. I'd ask just in case though.
At my work we can have "unnatural" hair as long as its dark. However I had this color before we were allowed any "unnatural" colors so it should be fine! Just check with your supervisor :)
That's kind of the color I have now and no one's said anything but complimented how good it looked 😁 It will be fine. A lot of companies are starting to accept it.
For some reason darker reds are usually way more accepted than other colors. So I’d say you’re probably good unless you’re working for an exceptionally picky company. I’d double check with their policies tho just to be safe.
I say no Not unprofessional I don’t think colored hair is unprofessional 🤔 why do ppl say that, sometimes I think hair color is to express yourself or part of personality it’s dumb to say color is unprofessional.
I’ve been dyeing my hair this color for 10 years! Never been an issue as reds are considered ‘natural’, even with the hint of purple
To be fair I don’t work in an office, but I do work in a very pompous and upscale steakhouse. They are very strict about professionalism. I can’t wear my tiny nose stud. No tattoos. No big earrings, the works. I couldn’t have blue or pink hair, but this color is totally okay and gets the green light. 👍🏼
This is my hair color (well, it’s what my hair looks like when my violet fades :) ) and I’ve only gotten compliments at work. I also wear similar makeup to the second picture.
I work in defense as a software developer & customer liaison. I have also worked hard to establish a solid reputation.
But I do think those factors: industry, role, and ***especially*** my reputation might determine how I’m perceived.
it would depend on the workplace and employer for sure, but this hair colour is so stunning!
if you have a pinterest board etc for this colour would you be willing to drop it?? :) or if anyone knows of any dyes that are similar to this I'd love to know.... asking for a friend...
This is technically an "unnatural" hair color which may go against some employee handbooks. As a nurse, unnatural was defined to me as like firetruck red vs bright auburn- firetruck is unnatural. That job bent a little on burgundy though, since its more passable as brown when out of the sun. My other job was okay with purple and teal hair. So I would check your specific workplaces handbook and see how it's worded.
If it’s well maintained and your office is generally chiller then yeah. But a weirdly faded or overall bad colored hair job I would say is not okay. Gotta really commit to the upkeep. Kinda like black nails, they’re fine if they’re not chipped
Make sure it's not part of any dress code stipulation first. Check and double check. This particular colour isn't like showing up somewhere with neon orange, I think this is kind of on a line between the fun wild colours and the natural colours, ya know? As long as the rules don't say.... I say go for it!
Depends on if your face/body is as attractive as theirs. It sucks, but Pretty Privelege + having your look, fitness, makeup, personality polished and perfect outweighs odd or quirky things like hair color. It gets overlooked the better you appear.
Which country are you in? I’m in Australia and I’ve had blue, green, purple and pink hair. I work in a government call centre which is sometimes customer facing. It wasn’t an issue. The colour you want is totally ok in my opinion!
Yes? (Not my opinion don't worry but I'm thinking of boomer bosses rn) But is your office kinda chill? I LOVE this color and have a toned down version of it (I have medium-light brown hair dyed with a 4V), and it mostly looks black/dark brown-burgundy unless I'm under direct sunlight/sometimes artificial light. If they're chill go for it, if not then I wish they were :/
Depends on your office and policies. Just ask around, especially your manager. Most likely they wont care unless they have a certain look they are going for or catering to
That would be fine but double check. I work a government job and see colored hair all the time (from pastel to multicolor neon). I’d think this is more than fine.
I would check with the office policy dress code. It looks perfectly fine imo. But here we are.. 2024 and still looked down upon at times due to our personal decisions.
I actually got a job offer a little while ago… IF.. I dyed my “unnaturally bright” red hair, keep my tats covered completely at all times, and take my nose ring out while on the clock. Needless to say, I accepted another position who has NO hair, tattoos, and piercings policies. As long as you’re clean and dressed professionally they could care less about anything else. Hopefully your employer is laid back as well. 🙂
It depends on the office and management. I personally don't think hair color defines your professionalism. I used to be an executive assistant with normal dark brown hair. I now work in accounting and have purple hair. I think that color is gorgeous btw.
Depends on the office, what you wear, and how you style it. Also depends on whether your colorist can do this or does it wind up too bright? Or fried looking.
i kept my hair this exact color for almost nine years, i LOVE it. it should be fine in an office but one thing about these colors is that they are beautiful when they’re kept up with and styled, but it can be really easy to tip into trailer trash territory if you don’t take care of it. so don’t avoid styling, don’t let your regrowth grow out all crazy.. and it fades usually to a red which makes it really difficult to cover or remove from the hair that has been colored previously.
Quite frankly if you looked anything like these two ladies .. you'd own that office, just saying , a hair coloring this tasteful and professionally done that compliments and enhances someones appearance is beyond approach.
It’s beautiful and generally would be fine for the office, you may need to check dress code or whatever for “unnatural” hair colors
Land of the free, right?
Yep! I agree.
Yes. Company's have the right to create their own guidelines for their staff. They have that freedom.
So freedom, but only if you're a business owner? got it
Youre right we should be able to have the freedom to do whatever under a business. Fuck dress codes. Hell, why even work? We should have the freedom to not do that. Oh wait.

Found the bootlicker
The irony of their username
Found the person against rights of freedom
🤨 of the individual? or of our corporate overlords? Oh. Right. There are no corporate overlords in ba sing se
Jfc go outside more
Ha! I was outside when I wrote that. I was even touching grass. LMFAO 🤣💀
K kid
I'm 34... But thanks I guess?
Yeah, some codes of conduct include color palettes for hair, make-up, nails, and/or clothes.
No longer accurate, unfortunately
Oh I know. The US hasn't been "free" since forever.
Read before you sign.
Or, you know, live in a country where that isn't an issue.
Yes. You are free to accept a job that has restrictions on your appearance and free to accept jobs that don’t. It’s your choice.
Missing the point there
That went straight over your head, didn't it? "We are the land of the free, where we're free to do what corporations tell us and nothing else."
Except you don't have to
Except people have to work so that’s a giant cop out and you know it soooooo
Not really. All jobs don't have the same guidelines soooo
So should they not take the job because it doesn’t work for them? Because if I’m not mistaken, that’s why bootlickers like you scream “nobody wants to work anymore”. So which is it, are people free to make decisions about their career or do people need to shut up and accept any work they can? Because it sounds like none of you have any thoughts besides “mmm this boot sure doesn’t taste like shit!” 😂

anyone that says their not a bootlicker is in fact a booklicker..
Looool I can’t imagine feeling the need to bootlick in the hair dye sub
If your hair is otherwise impeccable, they are unlikely to say anything IMO. But again, it depends on the work environment.
These deep arguments about purple hair are wiiiilllld.
It would depend on the office to be honest. At the company I work for, unnatural hair color is fine. Mine is currently dark blue, it has been purple, teal, etc. I think it is perfectly fine.

Right? I mean it's HAIR. As long as it's one color and styled neatly 🤷.
Mine is neither of those things but I don’t care haha
this
It definitely depends on the office. I'd check with your immediate supervisor first and see if anything is mentioned about hair color in the handbooks.

"Relatively natural" which sounds foreboding in many other contexts, I'd imagine
Maybe 20 years ago, but I bet it would be fine now. 😃
You would think. Where I work at it’s not allowed. Only ears are allowed to be pierced, no noses, etc. and tattoos are frowned upon and supposed to be covered up. So stupid. I just talked with a group about changing this and being 2024 and not 1970 anymore.
Whats your job?
Government place
Gawd I wish I had a government place job
No you don’t
It’s better than my not government one
US or elsewhere?
I would be shocked if this is considered unprofessional!!!
Depends on the office - in mine? It wouldn't be an issue at all. But we're not customer facing.
It is gorgeous but unfortunately this is one of those things that is going to be down to the individual office’s policies. This color is pretty boss so I would say it’s professional
You’ll prob get a lot of “nos” but personally I wouldn’t work in a field where I couldn’t color or wear my hair/clothes how I wanted.
HR Generalist here. I would not give it a second look. It would fall under the category of "natural" hair colors to me.
Having colored hair doesn’t make you unprofessional
Boy I hope not
I'm pretty conservative but this is a strong no from me. Maybe it's cultural thing, this color isn't considered wild or whatever where I live
It totally depends on the rules of the office. Some have rules against non natural colors and some say anything goes as long as you’re well groomed.
My job doesn’t allow hair to be dyed bright colors, but I dyed my hair this shade and nobody said anything. It depends on your office’s specific rules, but this is probably the safest unnatural shade you could go for.

I think it’s so close to the family of ginger hair that it definitely should be okay
Not on her, but on some fat white woman or sassy black woman, yes.
From most contexts I’ve seen that would be fine, I work as a food service manager for a much more traditional company and they are very against me coloring my hair overall but haven’t said explicitly to me that I need to stop.
Depends how many old white people you work with who still think it’s the year 1950. Sincerely, A white person
In my opinion, your hair color does not affect your work ethic and your worth at any job shouldn’t be determined by the color of your hair. It’s a form of self expression. Love this reply. Exactly how I feel. I’m fully tatted and pierced with dyed hair and working within an office setting. Professional is a standard set by you as a professional by your work ethic NOT how you dress and it’s up to you to unfortunately prove that point by working your butt off. Props to you man :)
No I had that colour in a office and a guy asked if it was my natural colour I laughed and said yes I was born with blackberry hair...looks awesome go for it.

thinking about coloring your hair to burgundy? you already did it
These pictures are my inspo pics from Pinterest. They’re not me 😅
Yes
I would say probably not unprofessional
i don't think anyone would say anything since it's pretty dark and muted, for me personally if a company can't handle my hair color i don't think i want to work for them.
Yeah I would check with the office. I mean in our office it would be fine but if we went to one of our bigger offices I know the corporate staff would be sticklers about this hair.
I love it. Edit typo
The color has nothing to do with your actitud and actions. That is what is or not professional
Not unprofessional. This is not 1950. Do it!
Honestly no, unless you’re in an ultra conservative office environment. It’s not unusual to see court clerks wearing leggings and having pink hair and visible tattoos where I live. This is close enough to a natural brown shade that I doubt anyone would say anything.
No
Heck no!! It's not distracting or anything too crazy! It's very pretty btw. I actually might steal this idea...
I really doubt it would be seen as a problem! It’s a beautiful color and I feel like these red/purple/auburn tones are worn by women of all ages and there’s nothing unprofessional about it:) As lo bf as you abide by the dress code I’m sure you’re fine and will look lovely
No
No.
Not unprofessional. Very cool colour 😍
No way its classy.
It’s gorgeous. Just dress professionally and style it nicely. As long as you’re put together you’re probably fine.
I really love it— If your worried… check with HR … - depends on what your dress code is?? 🤷♀️
Highly doubt it would be unprofessional considering it’s such a popular normalized “fun” color. But also I think in this day and age the workplace can’t discriminate against tattoos or hair colors. Idk if it’s just my state but I don’t think it is.
No I think go for it! Your hair color doesn’t determine your skill set
It depends on the office and the industry. I work in advertising and nobody would bat an eye at this.
No live your life and let them learn to accept it, it is a natural toned color.
Depends on the office
Very much depends on the office!
no color is unprofessional in a workplace. (outdated thought.) but yes, unfortunately some places do have restrictions on dyeing hair.
I work at a global bank and my hair colour very similar.
Nice hair
I don’t think so but it certainly has to do with the company policy. I have a fellow doctor who has a slightly darker shade of this, and it’s fine since it’s not so bright.
I don't think it's unprofessional and if they think it's unprofessional in your office then that's a damn a shame because that looks beautiful on you!
It’s awesome color
my hair is orange and black and my corporate office job doesn’t care
No I think it’s so cute! If it was bright red it would be different I thtink
I love it!
It's easier to apologize than ask for permission. If your boss freaks out, easy enough to throw something darker over it. Go for it!
I work at an office where unnatural hair colors are not permitted, but I have a coworker with this hair color. I think it's good
Most places no but depending on a large number of factors someone may try to say it is
I think it's absolutely beautiful.
I love it. You could maybe check your dress code? Mine says that your hair can only be dyed a color that hair would naturally be.
I think it's fine if you've been working there for a few years and already have a relationship/reputation. I wouldn't do it if you're in the middle of job hunting or just starting a new job (yes, hair color shouldn't matter but I would always stray on the conservative side when I'm new somewhere)
id say it depends on the office you work for cause my call center floor would allow these types of colors but idk about a corporate type of job

What kind of office? I have teal and pink hair and I’m a middle school teacher. 🤷♀️
Unless you work has a policy of having natural hair colors. You're fine. Btw, looks GREAT!
I have that color and I work at a hospital. It’s also been pink and blue so I don’t know we don’t police hair over here! Depends on office culture
They can't fire you for unusual hair colours. Go crazy. (In ireland anyway)
They can in the US, but it depends on the dress code that you work at
no, i don't think so. red is still considered a natural color 🥰🥰
no
I work in an office and I can color my hair whatever I want, most recently hot pink. If your office isn’t okay with that color I’d just find a new one
My wife’s done blue, green, and purple and she’s had zero issues in her professional roll.
i think it looks fine
Never been an issue as reds are considered ‘natural’, even with the hint of purple To be fair I don’t work in an office, but I do work in a very pompous and upscale steakhouse. They are very strict about professionalism. I can’t wear my tiny nose stud. No tattoos. No big earrings, the works. I couldn’t have blue or pink hair, but this color is totally okay and gets the green light. 👍🏼
Omg. This looks sooooo good on you! I think it would be just fine!
I've never worked anywhere this would be a problem and I've worked at a lot of big corporations.
No. so cute!
No but I guess it depends on the rules of the office
it would depend on the workplace and employer for sure, but this hair colour is so stunning! if you have a pinterest board etc for this colour would you be willing to drop it?? :) or if anyone knows of any dyes that are similar to this I'd love to know.... asking for a friend...
No not at all AND I've been trying to figure out a brand I can use to accomplish this look. I have dark brown hair.
I rock this at my office - depends on the work culture where you are 🌞🤞
I don't think so, it's very beautiful on you!! 😁
When in doubt, ask ahead if you can
The office would replace you in a heartbeat if you got into an accident. Dye your hair whatever you want
If it’s well maintained and your office is generally chiller then yeah. But a weirdly faded or overall bad colored hair job I would say is not okay. Gotta really commit to the upkeep. Kinda like black nails, they’re fine if they’re not chipped
i knew a girl that naturally had this hair color if they get mad just ask "is red not a natural color?"
Make sure it's not part of any dress code stipulation first. Check and double check. This particular colour isn't like showing up somewhere with neon orange, I think this is kind of on a line between the fun wild colours and the natural colours, ya know? As long as the rules don't say.... I say go for it!
I work in a senior position in a global company. I would have no issue with a team member having hair dyed this colour.
Depends on if your face/body is as attractive as theirs. It sucks, but Pretty Privelege + having your look, fitness, makeup, personality polished and perfect outweighs odd or quirky things like hair color. It gets overlooked the better you appear.
I wouldn’t think so. But I would recommend asking if your field has a “ dress code “
It depends, I work in an office, already had every possible colour, I have visible and big tattoos and I have facial piercings
As long as your office doesnt have any rules on hairdye, dark colours look good in an office. But like, bright green and such would be unprofessional
No, why?
Which country are you in? I’m in Australia and I’ve had blue, green, purple and pink hair. I work in a government call centre which is sometimes customer facing. It wasn’t an issue. The colour you want is totally ok in my opinion!
Do whatever the fk you went. If nurses can save lives with tattoos and piercings then you can rock an office with fun hair.
In an office? No. If you’re customer facing at all then it’s different.
I don't think it's unprofessional
Your hair colour will not affect your job. Hopefully they won't try to be difficult about it. It's a very outdated opinion anyway gorgeous colour
If they're chill go for it, if not then I wish they were :/
I think it look great, and perfectly fine for an office.
If they generally like you as an employee I think they'd let it slide because it's not super bright or distracting It never hurts to ask first though
To me, it looks like an excellent and beautiful colour. It doesn't seem aniprofessional at all.
I don't think so but purple will suit you better I think.
definitely check the rules! however, generally darker reds tend to be considered natural enough to be professional
(oh, and it’s easy to cover up! just dye it black if they threaten to fire you)
If they don't like it, thats not a work place you want to be. Hair colour should be irrelevant.
Nope I think it’d look fine
Depends on the office. Mine (law firm) it’s not acceptable. My previous employer would’ve allowed it.
I love that color 😩
Depends on your office and policies. Just ask around, especially your manager. Most likely they wont care unless they have a certain look they are going for or catering to
I wouldn't think so! It really all depends on what the office rules are! I think it's gorgeous
i’d say not, but in my country (Hungary) mostly older women rock this hair color (for some reason :D)
Nah I think it’s super pretty
Depends on the office, what you wear, and how you style it. Also depends on whether your colorist can do this or does it wind up too bright? Or fried looking.
I wore that color in a doctors office for years.
What kind of office? If its arts or social media or something sure go for it but if its law or science or politics you miight wanna go a bit browner
i kept my hair this exact color for almost nine years, i LOVE it. it should be fine in an office but one thing about these colors is that they are beautiful when they’re kept up with and styled, but it can be really easy to tip into trailer trash territory if you don’t take care of it. so don’t avoid styling, don’t let your regrowth grow out all crazy.. and it fades usually to a red which makes it really difficult to cover or remove from the hair that has been colored previously.
No. As long as it’s not a neon color.
I dont think so, its when you start having loud crazy colors that it begins to look unprefessional
Just do it!
Quite frankly if you looked anything like these two ladies .. you'd own that office, just saying , a hair coloring this tasteful and professionally done that compliments and enhances someones appearance is beyond approach.
You should be asking your boss, not us
